in town on business this week, and I never tried Dish in my previous visit.
I had the honey bourbon burger, cooked medium - perfect- my buddy had the hot brown. Good service. my cup of tea, (a rarity for me, but I have a sore throat), was refilled with hot water. Good service. Good variety. Nice atmosphere. I am looking forward to trying breakfast there this week.
Four stars for food, three stars for service.
The menu has a pretty good mix of delicious looking breakfast options (including the always underrated chicken and waffles), sandwiches, burger, and platters. The last page of the menu also has about 60 different types of bourbon that they serve, from a 2 dollar shot to a 24 dollar shot. Only appropriate for the birth state of bourbon.
The waitress we had, however, could only be called grumpy. She was trying to hold it together for us, but she seemed irritated from the moment we first saw her. And on a not-too-busy Saturday I really can't see why. To her credit, however, she DID make an effort to rework our order so that we combined extras sides into a thing that saved us a few bucks. Even if not, though, I'd eat there again happily, if only to have the pleasure of overhearing a conversation between two jogging suit clad mimosas drinking ladies on one side of us and a first date between college freshmen on the other side.
