I went here with my aunt for a late lunch/snack ordeal. It was very quiet at the time we went in. Ordered potato and leak soup...which to me tasted like celery and my aunt wasn't a fan of it either. Did REALLY like the Baked Fonduta and the best part is...they offer gluten free bread! Got a caesar salad as well which was flavorful and didn't taste like a cheap parm dressing.
I recommend the Sangria as well!

I've been to Cucine Calore, but its been a hot minute, or a few years.

I took two of my co-workers here for dinner on a Tuesday night. With reservations we were in quickly and seated.

Our server took our drink orders and we also ordered the calamari to start. It was good, pretty standard but good.

For my entree I ordered the veal fettuccine. No problems there, good solid food.

I guess the lack of a star is the rushed feeling I got from the staff. We were literally in and out within an hour, with about 10mins of chatting after. I like my food in a timely manner, but also like to enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant as well. Just rubbed me the wrong way personally.

This place is old faithful for me and my husband. We have been eating here for more than 10 years. The staff always does their best to accommodate, management is always very pleasant and the food is great. I think we have only had 1 issue in the last 5 years and the manager made it right immediately. We usually book our reservations through open table and very rarely have to wait when we get there.  I would recommend anyone eat here.

    SLIF!!!  (Sorry Liver It's Friday)

Did you know that every Wednesday Cucina Colore flips their wine list and needs to push out the wine offerings from the previous week so 50-70 bottles of wine are half off, yes that's right I said it, 50% off!  On this Friday, it just so happened that they didn't get rid of enough wine of Wednesday so we got to benefit from this deal yet again.  BONUS!

We decided on the Coppola-2009 Rubicon.  I'm not much of a wine connoisseur but I know what I like and I really liked this bottle.  As I learn the lingo, this wine really opened up as we leisurely enjoyed it in the lounge.  The lounge is first come first serve and tends to fill up quickly, so get a seat early.  You can also do dinner in the lounge area if you like as well.

Four times in four weeks. Outstanding. Kingsley the bartender will stuff your olives so full of blue cheese in martinis, you'll barely get down the hot fresh bread and salty olive oil before dinner. Then there's dinner. New York strip, salmon, scallops, peach bread pudding - all perfect. Check in on Foursquare and get a free dessert.

First and so far only visit was earlier this fall, but I'm sure I'll be back. It was delicious and the outdoor seating was perfect for admiring the fall leaves. It's was a great ladies' lunch place, with lots of delicious sounding dishes to choose from. It's a bit pricey but solid food with a relaxing but luxe ambience

I had lunch here with a girl friend, and it was very tasty. I had the tomatoe-based veggie soup with chicken - very nice.
Then she had a veggie pizza, topped with big chunks of artichoke, delicious cheese, and crispy dough. I felt like falling into a coma afterwards, but in a good way.
It's a reasonably priced menu, but watch out for the drinks! Her two mimosas were $20.

A solid menu that's reasonably priced.  Not a wide selection of entrees, so don't come thinking it's traditional Italian.  Ambiance was nice--modern, busy but not overwhelmingly so--but service was only so-so. The food was great.  I had a halibut special, and my hubby had the veal fettuccine.  Both were above average.  The sangria was also delicioso.  I'd go back for sure.

Everything about this place screams upscale Mexican! :D But no... Italian ;)  We had the charcuterie platter and a pizza, it was pretty good but i'd have to try more items to form a clear opinion.  What i did NOT like was the staff going around me spraying cleaner on walls and furniture right next to me with food on the table... I think it's common sense that i don't want to smell chemicals when i'm eating?!

We(my boyfriend and I) have been here twice now and the first time I really don't remember what we had and how much it was so this review is based on our last experience. The date was October the 29,of 2012- we were kinda celebrating we got our new car :) I been dying for an Audi so we had to celebrate!! Anyways, we were seated quickly I would say and didn't take long to get acknowledge so as far as service went it was good our server was very nice and told us about the special they had. I was truly bumped about the fact that they don't have a Moscoto so I went with the sparking Riesling on the 9oz glass and my boyfriend got a regular glass of some red Wine he has tried before. Now i was also looking towards the bread they give you right as you order to keep your appetite going- and i mean i love bread i will eat bread regardless i was just hoping it would be more like a fresh baked piece of bread :-/ As far as the food goes, We tried the scallops and the steak plus the pasta special they had. With those 3 entrees and a total of 3 glasses of wine, Our bill was $140 or something like that and a $30 tip so we are talking about a meal worth around $170 for 2. ( if you like trying things and sharing) if u have your 2 glasses of wine and 2 meals u might only have a bill of $90-$120 depending on what you order. I never pay( well sometimes I do) so I didn't freak out that's what credit cards are for but for that much money I honestly didn't find the food that excellent. I enjoyed it yes, at least the scallops I didn't care for the steak and the pasta was just alright. I will say this though, i know is cherry creek so when ever we eat out in this are we know we will spending some money for sure, its not like i haven't eaten around all this places to not know any better and I guess for me it's just in my head now- cherry creek north dining=pricy. Last I want to let you guys know that They have a peach bread pudding I tried the first time we came and that's probably the best part of everything. I might to a take out for that bread pudding sooner then later but this is not a place I can be all excited about returning to that's all :)

My Wife and I decided last minute to try this place out. We first were very impressed by the look and feel of the restaurant. Vibrant and modern, but comfortable. It's location is in a swanky little area of Cherry Creek and we found out from the server that it's been there for over 20 years.
Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The baked goat cheese appetizer was ridiculously good. "Craveable", as my Wife put it. We had the seared scallops dish and the chicken with sundried tomatoes with vegetables and pasta dish (can't remember the name). The scallops were cooked perfectly and was a very light and filling dish for it's size. Could have used a tad more herbs in my opinion, but the scallops made it all worth it. The pasta dish was also cooked perfectly and the flavors were balanced with a nice pop from the sun dried tomatoes.
Pair it all with a little Napa Pinot Noir and it was a terrific meal at a reasonable price.

    Highly recommend.

I waivered between 3 and 4 stars and went with 4 solely based on dessert....

Joined some girlfriends for lunch yesterday and was excited to try a new spot. They dine here frequently so I was able to get some advice on what to order. Our server, Carmen, was awesome. She was very attentive, but also gave us our space to chat, explore the menu and drink our wine.

We started with the mussels which were garlicky, delicious, goodness. Bread dipped into the sauce is great. The italian wedding soup was good but there were no meatballs (what?!) The carpaccio and arugula/shrimp salad were also good.

However if you want to talk delicious? Skip lunch, apps and dinner. Just go for dessert and get the bread pudding. It is amazing. And truly the reason I bumped up the rating to 4 stars. The three of us shared a serving and that was perfect, I know I wouldn't be able to finish one by myself in one sitting. It is the perfect balance of sweetness and paired with a cappuccino you've got one hell of a dessert.

Cucina Colore is blessed with an excellent location and better-than-decent food, but they should probably re-think their server hiring process.  Both times I have been in the past several months, I've had an otherwise good meal darkened by service that was not so awesome.  It seems to me like they hire younger servers who might not be quite as experienced in serving in this kind of environment.  They seem immature and busier talking to each other than to their tables.

I will say that their seafood offerings consistently impress me.  I've had excellent scallops and salmon there, and my boyfriend is a big fan of the clams and mussels.  The bread and seasoned oil is always a huge hit.  Usually, it's my favorite part of the whole meal... it gets devoured quickly.  I find their pasta dishes to be a little bland.

It's not that this place is bad.  It's not... but it's not impressive enough to warrant the prices.

Good pizza & drinks, friendly service, nice outdoor patio.  But not so great pasta.   The sauce was thin and watery, the salmon chunks had bones in them, and the pasta wasn't well cooked.  My hubby loves truffles, so we also had to have the pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil, and thankfully it made up for the other dish, so much so that we would come back again for another pizza and drinks.

Was in town on business and ate at this place twice in the past week. I sat at the bar each time, and Bart, the bartender, was ultra-professional and funny. He remembered the drink I ordered after the first night I was in town; he also seemed  to have a lot of regulars also sitting at the bar which is an indication of high quality service. The young woman manager, Heather, did a great job ensuring that all the tables were satisfied with their experience.  I will always eat at this restaurant when I'm in Denver.

I recommend trying one of Bart's "Modified Mojitos" paired with the calamari and fonduta. Delightful.

This is a nice, medium-sized Italian joint in Cherry Creek.  I met some friends here for lunch the other day and sat out on one of two patios.  I perused the wine list as I drank my iced tea, (I'm not THAT big of a boozer) and it's actually a really well thought-out wine list.  They've got a good number of Italian and American wines ranging from relatively cheap to pretty damn expensive.  They've also got a nice by-the-glass wine list.

The menu is a bit limited IMO, but they have a good number of selections for salads, paninis and pastas.  I ordered the pasta special which was linguini with scallops in a white wine and garlic sauce.  It was pretty darn good.  The paninis are huge, and the salad my friend ordered looked darned tasty as well.  The service here is spot on for this level of restaurant.

The only real problem I had was the price.  I could get the same thing and same flavors elsewhere for cheaper IMO.  But, it is Cherry Creek where all things cost too much.  ;)

Best lunch and salad I have had in the Denver Metro Area.  The Patio is awesome during the summer and Nunzio Aka Momo is wonderful as a resteraunteer making everyone feel welcome.  The food is awesome I do believe in the 9 years I have been going their I have tried every dish on the menu.  Recomendations: Arrugula salad with lemon oil dressing and grilled shrimp, Pizza Margherita, and ask the somelier for the proper wine or like me order a espresso macchiato! Buon appetito!

While this place can tend to be a bit pricey it is a great place for date night. It was a nice atmosphere good location and great food.
I got the pork chop tenderloin with fennel, best and I mean BEST, pork chop I have ever had.
You have got to try this place the service was good and I would go back again for sure!

I visited Cucina Colore last Thursday for Dining Out for Life, and was very impressed. Everyone was friendly, from the host to the servers, and the restaurant is cool and comfortable.

Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered - my pasta was perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. I guess they felt that our food was a bit slow to arrive, which didn't bother me a bit because they were slammed. However, they compensated with a free dessert for the table (some kind of peach bread dish, which was very good). Throughout the evening drinks were filled quickly, and service was consistently professional. Finally, the participate in Dining Out for Life! I'll definitely be back to Cucina Colore.

First off let me say, I love this place. I met a friend whom I hadnt seen in over a year this afternoon for lunch and from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a polite and friendly hostess and wait staff. Our waiter, whose name I dont recall at the moment, was sociable, had a sense of humor and made easy conversation during our time there without a hint of being overbearing and bothersome. Servers at other eating establishments could take a lesson or two from him. Now if I could just remember his name!

The food here is very good. Everything from the yummy bread and olive oil at the beginning to meal itself was pleasant and at the end I didnt feel stuffed, which is a good thing. I opted out on the desert this time around, but from the previous reviews on the peach bread pudding, it will definitely be on my radar on the next visit.

Stopped by with a friend this weekend after doing some shopping in Cherry Creek.

The place was vibrant, but not packed and the service was very good. Our waiter was very on top of things but great because he realized we were doing a lot of gabbing and wasn't too pushy about the ordering.

We each got a salad and split an order of Beef Carpaccio. I thought the carpaccio was great - tender, flavorful, really nice consistency. My salad was yummy as well - simple but delicious - mixed greens, olives and wonderful balsamic vinaigrette. My friend's salad looked tasty as well, though hers had a few more ingredients.

Pair that with a couple cocktails each and we were happy shoppers!
Would definitely check Cucina Calore out again - looks like a good happy hour destination.

Their peach bread pudding pushed my star rating up a notch.  Their happy hour is pretty lacking, with the food selection consisting only of small dips served with few crostini.  Service is decent.  Outdoor patio is small, around 5 tables, each seating 2-3 max.  The bread to start out with is deliciously chewy and moist, and it goes well with their olive oil.

    Highly Recommended:
*Peach Bread Pudding: served warm and topped with a little whipped cream and a memorable buttery caramel glaze

    Decent:
    * Fetuccine with Veal Bolognese and Parmigiano: noodles were perfectly al dente, and the sauce was flavorful (a good amount of extra cheese always helps)
    * Pesto Dip
    * White Sangria, made with cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, peach schnapps, and white wine
    * Rum Mixed Drink (I forget the name); reminded me of Hawaii

    Not Recommended:
    * Mixed Olives Dip - I bit into over 10 chunks of olive pit, which was very unpleasant.  The flavor was ok, but it seemed like they added a ton of salt to the already salty red olives.
    * Garlic Red Pepper Chickpea Dip - not very good

Overall not the best I've ever had, but pretty good.  I'll probably be back.

Came here for happy hour with 5 other friends. We asked to sit on the patio which was empty at 4 pm. The manager came over and said, "well, we do not usually allow happy hour on our south, I mean, east patio. But we will make an exception this one time."

We almost walked out. Do you want our business or not? We sat down anyway. Exceptional service. Terrible management. I will not return because of this manager. And neither will the 5 others I was with.

I'm kind of surprised by the number of very positive, glowing reviews about this restaurant.  I more or less walked out thinking it was a bit better than the Olive Garden.

    My gripes:
    Slow service.
The server's push for us to order a bottle of wine rather than two small glasses.
Bread that was soft and spongy (decidedly not like true, chewy, robust Italian bread)

We ordered the pan seared black mussels as an appetizer.  They were okay as far as mussels go, but the sauce (which really makes the dish) was not quite as flavorful as it could have been.
Hubby got the salmon, which was actually pretty good.  The fish was nicely perched on what appeared to be a giant hushpuppy, but which was in fact a big crusted ball o' potatoes.  It was actually quite tasty.

My wood-fired gamberetti pizza was initially brought out burnt, with apologies from the kitchen.  They kindly replaced it.  While I thought that shrimp and pancetta would be a nice flavor combination, it surprisingly didn't work out as well as I thought.  The saltiness of the pancetta overwhelmed everything else.  But maybe that was for the best, because the "everything else" was kind of bland.

I really wanted to like this place (especially because of its nice decor and great location), but I think I'll try other Italian restaurants in town.

    Recommendation:
A trendy little Italian/Pizza joint in Cherry Creek cooking with gourmet ingredients.

    Food:
We gave the pizza a shot and it was pretty good. The crust was thin, the sauce was flavorful and the toppings were fresh. It was all cooked up in a wood fired oven giving it an extra layer of flavor. Surprisingly it tasted pretty much like our favorite NY style pizza we've tried in Colorado from Perry's Pizza.

    Price:
The price is a little bit inflated because of the Cherry Creek address, but the pizza is bigger than you'd expect for a personal pizza. Each pizza was $12. Lunch did include a basket of bread that contained various odds and ends and was served with flavored oil. We found the bread basket to be a nice tasty treat.

    Service:
Service was fast, friendly and attentive with traditional table service.

    Ambiance:
The decor is pretty trendy and it seemed like there was more outdoor seating available than indoor seating. It's an open kitchen, so you can see the chefs cooking up your food while you wait.

    Tips:
Parking at Cherry Creek can be a pain. Street parking (with meters) is the norm, but Cucina Colore also has a small FREE lot just behind the building if you are lucky enough to find an open space.

Hard to rate it on just drinks and an appetizer.  However, the sangria was really good--different than typical sangria and I would order it again.  The bread was absolutely delicious too.

We ordered the bruschetta and it was Delicious!!  It was small, but it was really tasty.

No complaints and I am curious to come back and try the pasta dishes.

A wonderful restaurant that should have nationwide recognition!

First off - Denver's best pizza can be found at Cucina Calore and their CONCHIGLIE (spelling?) pasta may be the best pasta in America - an exquisite mixture of bow tie pasta, with chicken, broccoli, and a vodka pink sauce - delicious!

Overall, Cucina Calore is an excellent restaurant, not be missed by any strict foodie - especially lovers of Italian food!

    Love and peace all! ALI

Somewhat disappointing...I have wanted to try Cucina Colore for some time and after my dinner last night I walked away satisfied, but not delighted. I ordered the house made lobster ravioli which was good, but really no better than dishes that I have had at Macaroni Grill or Carrabas.

The service was okay. Our waiter was, well, there to wait on us and added nothing to the experience.

The best part of the meal was the peach bread pudding - delicious!

I would not go out of my way to go back to Cucina Colore, but if I ever found myself there again, I may just order dessert.

I highly recommend the Pan Seared Black Mussels appetizer (it's also get as a meal). The mussels are the correct size - a bit full but not so large that you need to cut them up (eww). The white wine sauce includes shallots and tomatoes. This is a steal for $10.
Just make sure you get lots of bread to soak up the sauce. Yum:-)

3.5 stars: Excellent location & atmosphere. Great place to meet friends or business colleagues. Good service. Wonderful outdoor patio. But frankly, I don't think their food is all that spectacular.

On my last visit, the potato soup (soup of the day) was marginal...no one at the table finished it. The pizzas and pastas are perfectly adequate, but I wouldn't go out of my way for them. I go to CC for the overall experience.

I took a friend here for lunch, and I absolutely loved it. The hostess and servers were very friendly. We both had a New Age Sangria to drink, which was really delicious. They served a few pieces of really good bread with some olive oil and herbs while we waited. I ordered the house-made lobster ravioli and it was absolutely wonderful. My friend had the house soup, can't remember what kind it was, but it was really good too.

Overall, highly recommended. I'll definitely be going back.

You know, I wasn't *that* impressed with this place.  The food was good, but it just wasn't fantastic.  I was really happy with the pasta but not so impressed by the mussels on the menu.  There was something missing...

Also, the indoor dining area was being taken over by the AC so it made it impossible to get comfortable.  But I will give them that wait staff - they have a tendency to group, but over all they were super nice and very accommodating.

One of a chain of 9 restaurants.

    Dependable and predictable.
These a good traits and not bad ones.
    Very good food.
    Excellent service.

The Peach Bread Pudding is one of those gimmicky desserts that should not be talked about, but it so tasty.

We had a perfect lunch at Cucina Calore on 04JUL2008.

This was the first meal I ever ate in Denver!
It was a celebratory meal after a horrible day of apartment shopping and finally finding (what I thought was) a good place.
The decor here is modern and attractively, yet not too austere.  The service is typically friendly and attentive and able to provide good suggestions.  I have had a few of their pasta dishes over time and they've all been great.  Never had the pizzas, although I wish I had.
Pretty good Italian food in a nice space and reasonable prices.

I feel like such a yuppie when I visit Cucina Colore, but I accept it because I enjoy the food and the atmosphere.  I've been here three times.  Once I just sat at the bar at drank wine--they happen to have my favorite Pinot Noir.

The second time it was a beautiful summer night so we got lucky enough to snag a great outdoor table.  My friend and I had a wonderful dinner.  We took our time and drank and laughed.  We never felt rushed to leave.  I really appreciate that from a restaurant!

My most recent visit was on a Sunday afternoon.  I went with the bf and his sister, her husband and their little boy.  The hostess knew we had a little one so they sat us at a table in the back where he wouldn't disturb any of the other diners.  This didn't bother me one bit!  Our waitress was so sweet.  She checked on us often and even played with the little guy which made the parents happy.  The food was fantastic on this visit.  Make sure you get some of the bread--it was some of the best I've had in the city.  Their special soup of the day was Gorgonzola beer soup (a twist on beer cheese soup) and it was great!

For my meal I had the linguine with tomato basil, pesto cream sauce and toasted pine nuts.  It was the perfect amount for lunch!  My bf had the pork loin sandwich--served on soft flat bread.  It had pear, Gorgonzola and pesto on it.  I'd go back for that!

I'm sure I'll visit Cucina Colore again.  Its a nice place--nothing incredibly special, but it delivers when I'm hungry!

This was a much better find than North!  Being new to Denver makes it difficult to know where to go.  I have found that a lot of trendy places aren't necessarily the best.
Cucina Calore was very nice, great service from a rather cute waiter and decent food.  The salad was incredible as was the bread.  My entree of ravilois was just OK, but then the dessert made up for it all.
    I would definitely return.

What I like about Cucina Colore:
    Plenty of outdoor seating.
    Mussels appetizer.
    Goat Cheese Mashed Potatoes.
    Pizzas.

It's OK.  It's nothing to do cartwheels about, but I will definitely go back for some of the above mentioned items.
