The food is great here never a complaint, however, the service really is HORRIBLE. i waited an hour for my food and NOT ONCE did any of the two waitress even ask me if i wanted a glass of water...nor did any of them smile. got my food and waited another 5 minutes for them to bring me utinciles.... really...and what really is troubling the owner was sitting across from me like nothing mattered.... guess keeping customers isnt in the budget...

Looks like they have 2 different listings. I'll repost here too.

Wow. Way to turn a decent dining experience 180 degrees. Management and staff make it easy not to want to come back.

We found this place thru http://Restaurant.com, so we changed our plans and came here instead of La Parrilla on Irving Park.

We dined on a Friday night. Place was empty except for the waitress and her friend. No one rushed over, apparently a great conversation was taking place. When the staff finally came over, I was greeted, and asked if this was my first time here. "Yep" I replied.

My wife and I ordered Mojitos. Not bad, but made with sprite, so we didn't order a second. I love tostones, and my wife loves empanadas. They had both on the menu, but for the price, we could get the platter, which included both, plus a fried potato/meat ball, yuca fries, and ham and cheese Croquettes. All fried, but all was tasty with the 2 dipping sauces. We ordered the apps, since we needed to meet our purchase price minimum to take advantage of the http://restaurant.com deal.

We then ordered two of the 'Chef's Favorites' El Habanero & the El Tipico.
The Habenero was just M'eh, having the same meat that was in the fried potato ball, so we were over it pretty quickly. The Tipioco was just that, Typical...nothing out of this world, but it did the trick and we were stuffed.

Price was good, plenty of food.
Ambiance - none. There was no one in there on a Friday nite. 2 other couples showed up to dine while we were there, and someone came in to set up a keyboard near the door. No one ever played, perhaps things get happenin' after 9pm?

Now, here's the whammy that precludes us from wanting to return.
When we got the tab, we presented the http://Restaurant.com to our server. She seemed confused, and went in back for a moment. She came back, stating "we don't accept these". What ? We responded that we just purchased it this week. She continued " Management doesn't like the new process/ownership....mutter mutter, mumble..." I pulled up the live listing on my iPhone to show her the http://Rest.com was still available that moment. She didn't care. My wife stated that they should have a sign on the door or something. (note- This was over 2 weeks ago, and the http://rest.com is still available online today). We could care less on the reasons management doesn't like http://rest.com. If it's up, honor it!

I responded that the http://rest.com was the only reason we even came in here, and by the looks of it, they need all the customers that they can get since it was a ghost town. I proclaimed "You've just drove away new customers. We like to dine out, consider ourselves 'foodies' and we love sharing new places with our friends and family.

I emailed management, but as I expected, I got no response. So, take heed in dining here.
