My fiance and I recently ordered from DP Dough because he heard about them on a radio commercial. Â We both grew up in the Chicago area and I moved here just two years ago. Â It seems like there's no good pizza here. Â I was really surprised by DP Dough's calzones. Â We've ordered from there twice now. Â The calzones are great! Â Good dough and the marinara sauce is yummy, not too sweet. Â They do put a lot of pepper on their fries, I don't know why. Â My daughter is a picky eater and so she had chicken tenders and fries. Â She couldn't eat the fries, they got too hot with all that pepper. Â
We also ordered Party Stix, bread sticks with some sauce, pepperoni, and ground beef. Â They were not so good. Â The dough and the marinara sauce is the same as the calzones. Â It just doesn't taste as good when it's in pizza form.
We will definitely order calzones again.
A few years ago, I moved from Normal to Chicago. Â I missed some of my friends, being a dumb 21 year old, and D.P. Dough....
D.P. Dough is the Man of My Dreams. Â Every time I am drunk and hungry, I wish I was laying on my couch, fumbling with my phone, calling in a delivery order to the dough wizards and then making out with a veggie calzone. Â Three years of city-life, and I have yet to find a tastier calzone! Â
Dearest D.P., please set up shop in Chicago along the blue line. Â
Much Love.
