This place was awesome! We came for breakfast on a Sunday and service was excellent: not rushed, not rude, and prompt. The food was really good (I had an omelette and the BF had the corned beef hash) both meals were hot and fresh when they got to our table. My only complaint was my food wasn't seasoned enough but I'd rather have to add my own salt than complain about too much from the kitchen.

To all of the ppl making a fuss in their reviews about the decor: get over it! It's a diner, it looks exactly the way a diner should look... it's about the food/service not the decor.

Although the place was not that great, the food was not that bad. My boyfriend had the country fried steak and he liked it. Generous gravy portion. I liked the French toast.

Why? Why did I do this to us?  Those were the words I uttered as I left this place.

This was not my first experience at Dallas' Place.  I have dined here before, too bad I am so forgiving and my memory is short, because as soon as I was seated I remember why I never visit this dining establishment in the city I love, Pacifica.

So a bit about me, I LOVE dives, and not what the SF hipster crowd claims as a dive bar, but a real dive bar complete with old men drinking at 10 in the morning and bags of BBQ Corn Nuts for sale behind the bar. When there is a greasy dinner is attached to the place, well, that is love.

Back to the review, Dallas' is not endearing, it is not a dive, it is not a delightful greasy spoon.  We were seated immediately, a cute young girl (who I mistook for 18 yo) took our drink order.  I needed a bloody mary with my eggs, which is what brought us to Dallas' on this fine, foggy day.  She informed that that she was too young to order it, so she would have her Mom place the order.  20 minutes later...I had the absolutely worse bloody mary that I have ever had in my life.  I could easily live off of vodka and tomato juice, but this was undrinkable.  All I could taste was the cheap (which I recognized from my college days as Popov) vodka, with a splash of tomato juice and some seasonings. I actually left the drink on the table, untouched.

Food.  Can they even call it that?  Canned food is fine with me.  Want to add extra salt to cover up the fact it is bland and boring.  Eh, what ever as long as it is edible. What we ate was not tasty.  In fact I am pretty sure it was not even edible.

Stay away from this place.  Stay very, very far away.
