How did I grow up in Springfield and live my entire life in NoVA and only vaguely remember getting a take-out order from here once, probably a sandwich?!?!
Service is fast and friendly from all involved.  The niece ordered the baked ziti and I swear it was the size of a family-size Stouffer's meal.  All enjoyed their meals  - ziti, chicken tenders, Peruvian chicken, pastichio, omelet and blueberry waffle.
The waffle came out with a huge ring of whipped cream around it, encircling the mound of blueberries piled in the middle. Â We happened to be sitting at a table that shares a wall with the kitchen. Â The cook leaned over when he saw us all laughing at my husband's waffle extraordinaire and explained he thought it was for a kid, so he wanted to make it special. Â Very nice.
Nice local family establishment.
The Riviera salad is. so. so. good.
Cold crunchy romaine lettuce topped with grilled chicken breast, shrimp, and warm dressing. The serving is GARGANTUAN (I'm pretty sure the plate was twice the size of my head), but I managed to wolf it all down within a 30-minute lunch break. Call me a fatty, it was worth it. Best part? I don't even feel that guilty, because it was a "salad".
Next time I'm in town, Delia's will be the first on my list of places to go. (:
