Food Corner Kabob House

Love the lamb kabobs here!  The chickpeas and rice are also good.  I'm not a huge fan of the bread which is disappointing because with some of the other kabob places I've been to, the bread is enough reason to go.  The owner and cooks are super friendly, always welcome us when we walk in and ask us how things were before we leave. They also often give us free soup while we wait for our kabobs.  Great spot for lunch.

I am SAD to say the boneless chicken kabob portions have gotten considerably smaller. The total serving amount is literally half the size it used to be and each individual boneless breast chunk has noticeably shrunk in size. When you open your to-go carton, you see the same number of kabobs but they are TINY now, scattered, chargrilled, lifeless pieces of chicken thrown together, and a few are even bite size. No more succulent big juicy pieces, no more sharing, and certaintly no leftovers. The taste is still there but the portion size has substantially gone down. We go here at least once a month and it has been this way for a long time. I just haven't updated this review. And I would not mind paying $2-3 more per entree for the old portion sizes. I love this place that much.

It is also noteworthy to mention that early in 2012 when we were dining in, we overheard another dine-in male customer complain to the owner, who was greeting customers seated at the tables, about the same thing! The customer also complained why the chicken kabob pieces he got now were really small and how the quantity of it was not enough. The owner ordered the cook in the back to cook up more and promised the customer that he wouldn't leave until he was full. Unfortunately, that's not the case day in and day out.  And clearly, the manager obviously doesn't really care because he is probably the one that iniated the changes to begin with. Typical business owner :(

The best lamb kabobs I've EVER had! Hands down. A few of the cooks can be a little hard to communicate with but the food makes up for it. The owner is very nice and friendly.
