Derf's Pizza

there are a lot of filtered reviews for this place, which we did not know until we got home.  I've never seen so many filtered.  Which, to be fair, is pretty odd.

Anyhow, the wings were pretty good.  The pizza, which I got to taste just a bit of, was pretty to good to better than average.  inside, they seemed like a dive, but that's ok if you like dives.  The bread for a sandwich was homemade (or so they told me and it tasted homemade).    They also have a 'ridiculous food' section, like chicken bacon burger dog (didn't try), and buffalo chicken cheese fries, buffalo fish cheese fries, Buffalo Xxx cheese fries, and something too gross to mention.

so, i'd go back. I hope there is something better, but this place was ok and others were fans.  They are small, the owner seems to be there probably all the time, so the variance in the reviews is probably fair.  I suspect they get over their head too often, but on a good day it was A-OK, as 3 starts says, and bad days would be 1-2, and we had a 4.  

Oh, and Derf is fred backwards, the owner's dad, I asked, who loaned money to start it up.   Ahh, they they are BYOB.

I received their delivery menu, very nice, laminated. Call one night around 7:45 pm and they were not taking orders because they were closing at 8:00 pm.
Call another time and apparently they don't have GPS because I had to give them directions on how to come to my residence. When I started ordering they told me I had the wrong menu and that their right menu was on Facebook. Evidently I didn't order anything and will probably never call again.

Derf's food is quality fun food and it's a bit unique. Inside it's kinda fun and laid back.  It reminds me of an 80's joint, it would be fun to go stop by with friends.

I expected my salad to be a little better, but it was still really good, def not bad I've just had better (in this case I have had better chicken on top this seemed like it might have been frozen chicken, a lot of the places I go put like a sliced chicken breast type thing on top...still possibly frozen but much bigger chunks seems more real).

I haven't tried the actual pizza though so don't take my word for it on that.

I would give them four stars if maybe it came across slightly more professional inside, I mean the fun feel is great but some authenticity and  a more mature feel to balance this a tad would help. Also it all comes down to the pizza and I haven't had it yet. Will update.
