Think of this place as a cross between a good Diner and a decent sit down such something like TJ Rockwells. Â I'm not saying it IS either of those but the style and feel of the food is a good MIX between the 2.
I like to go lunch time and get the pesto turkey Sand which. or the Turkey Triple Decker club. Â Both are great. Â They also do Diner style meals such as Turkey and mash potatoes, and other Diner style types of food. (Even fantastic fried chicken!) Â The other side of them has great things like Taco Salads and Burgers and things that a great sit down restaurants has.
Now I'm not saying ANY of this food is as HIGH quality and the best I've ever had.. (that would be a lie) BUT... Â it IS good and worth the price they charge. Â It's not junk.. just not the best.. I would recommend this place if your looking to eat out cheap and get a decent amount of just good food for the price. Â ESP for lunch!
They do have a bar area, with TV's and top shelf liquors if anyone is interested in drinking when they go.
If I had any suggestions for the owner or people that operate the restaurant, it would be to Lessen the menu options. With so MANY options on the menu, I'm sure a lot of it is frozen, (as most are) because it's impossible to have so many choices without freezing them to keep them as fresh as possible. Â LOWER the menu per meal time (breakfast, lunch, diner) down to just 1 page each.. get rid of crap selling items and keep the good stuff.. this will keep frozen items limited (USE MORE FRESH), and keep your COST down. Â Buying frozen items in bulk is MORE EXPENSIVE then buying fresh and using it before it goes bad. Save yourself money, give customers what they want and make great food. Â (lower the options on the menu!!!!!) - FYI this isn't just this restaurant that needs to do this, this is a TON of places... This is just casual advice that works..
A gem in Harrisburg! I'm a contractor from the DC area and this place measures up to some of the best... Maybe not in decorum but the food is top notch and the portions are ridiculous. I ordered the smothered chicken, it was $10.95 and worth every single cent (even two cents at some points)
