The ambiance is so fitting for this location. The bar staff was so alert an knowledgable no to mention Professional. My food was seasoned to perfection. The prices vary from 8$-28$. Â I had this amazing drink called The Reservoir which was made with Hennessy and during happy hour it was $5.00..there food selection is like American food infused with southern cuisine. Â Definitely will be back...
Review Source:My experience here was strange to say the least .. So I guess ill start where it all began.
We entered the restaurant and walked toward a booth with no hostess. We proceeded to view the menu since we saw no sign for self seating. About 3 minutes later were greeted by an older lady dressed in her Sunday best and she asks if we are here for brunch, we say yes. We ask to sit at the bar and she replies "I'm not sure if you can, let me check to see if theres bar service".. We look a bit confused and end up meeting the "hostess" who appears in some black pants and a hoodie & takes us to the bar a few minutes later. ....Although they'd been open about two months we literally felt like we were their first customers.
Once seated, uncomfortably on some awkward chairs, we order beverages. I ask for my usual, a water with lemon, and she gave me an old, dried out lemon that had to be from a night or two ago. After inspecting it thoroughly I ask if she has any more lemon, she replies "I need to cut some." She proceed to cut and hand me additional, shriveled pieces of lemon which I just end up not using and realizing I just shouldn't ask for. Her general demeanor was way too laid back to be in a restaurant I have to say. Â She proceeded to card us for mimosas and press each button on the fountain to taste which button was what .. Weird to watch, I thought she'd be more familiar.
Now, the food I will say is what gives them their rating because it was pretty good! We ordered all 4 meats in the silver brunch option (somehow we never got the salmon we ordered). The prime rib was way overcooked to be medium. The turkey had great seasoning and the fish was fried perfectly (although you only get one piece which is strange in comparison to the portion of prime rib you receive.) my over easy eggs atop the hash browns were so good I ordered a second serving. I was however disappointed in the grits because they tasted sweet and that is not my preference for cheese grits, of any grits.
Overall The food is pretty good but they definitely need to organize a few things and train their employees better.
