You can sing as loud as you want!!
Get the fruit plate because it is the best fruit I've possibly every eaten.
Good selection of songs, but the selection isn't great. There are a surprisingly large number of songs from 1998-2008 if that is your scene. It is my scene and my friends and I sing it well.
Some people say that they aren't that nice to you if you aren't Korean. I don't know, I think it you just tell them what you want, the service is just fine! It is very clean and the people who work there are actually very nice!
After drinking, the videos that accompany the lyrics become more and more interesting! Psycho-analyze them!
I don't usually belt out classics from the 90's and 00's, but when I do, I SANG them out at Do Re Mi.
Was introduced to this place about a year and a half ago on the night of a breakup where you best believe I sang out all my heartbreak! I've been back a couple times since and its always been good times all around.
The establishment is really nice with clean rooms and friendly service on staff. The song offerings are pretty up to date and you can belt out your favorite hits from across multiple genres. For tohse unfamiliar with Korean Karaoke spots, you and your party can reserve your own room, which can keep the singing party intimate, for those of us who may be shy to grab the mic in other bar Karaoke nights.
Song selection aside, a BIG surprising plus was the fruit platter on the menu. They get some prime fruit from the H-Mart next door and I swear, those melons are some of the freshest I've ever tasted in the least expected spot. Other snacks worth getting include the Kimchee rice rolls and fish cakes.
They've got plenty of soju, liquor and beer in house and the pricing is reasonable. I appreciate that they make it a point to not service anyone overly intoxicated as they keep it still a fun spot for all patrons. Definitely a late night spot that's fun for all!
Do Re Mi is very clean and offers the typical Korean-style norebang songs... Â I always get thrown off by how well represented Radiohead is in the book. Â I guess a lot of Koreans like that band! Â Also, it is a little disconcerting to see Christian Rock Band "Stryper" so vaingloriously displayed in many of the "New Songs!" lists. Â Baby Jesus is crying right now.
Anyway, the one thing that differentiates this place from its counterparts in my hometown of Los Angeles is the insanely reasonable pricing. Â To wit: Â 2.5 hours of Karaoke, four 750 ml bottles of soju, 2 orders of yogurt soju, 12 beers and the final tally was $130! Â $130!?!?! Â That much liquor would've totaled the GNP of a small island country in my hood. Â
As out of towners, my Chicago based friend and I were shocked at how cheap it was, whereas the ATLiens just started mulling around for money. Â Immediately, both Chicago friend and I started fighting to pay the entire bill. Â We have this thing going where we like to take turns paying for each other and usually the people in attendance are included as collateral damage. Â
However, this doesn't preclude us (well, me at least) from trying to pay for the cheap shit and having the other foot the bill for the pricier stuff. Â Alas, he was quicker on the draw, and made sure to include a generous tip which he signed off with a flourish. Â Had mad girls hitting him up afterwards too saying, "Oh, you so generous" and "Oh, why you pay for everythang', you so hendsome" and things of that nature. Â Yes... Â that's my best effort at transliteration of a female Southern/FOB accent.
Do Re Mi Karaoke, not to be confused with the other Do Re Mi nearby, is a Karaoke place right in Duluth, near Super H-Mart. The place is very modern, with the most up-to-date songs you could possibly sing to your heart's content, and the place is simply comfortable to be in. One negative about this place which prevents it from getting 4 stars, is that it does seem to cater more to the Korean crowd, as if you do not have a friend who speaks Korean fluently, or are not Korean yourself, then you will be pushed back, while others go in before you. If you ever to feel the need to do some singing at night with some friends, then do come to this location. Plenty of fun and singing, and even though your voice might not work for the night afterwards, it is still good fun.
Review Source:I use to come here quite often couple years back
Has nice decor & nice sound system.
It was always a pleasant night and the song selection was great!
I found many Japanese songs I love and in english too
The staff seem to remember me even though I wasn't Korean
I got kinda caught up with life and I returned after a couple of months
The staff was slightly different and everyone's attitude became slightly rudder if you didn't speak Korean
I'm guessing they got into some kind of trouble because every time I went after that they always asked "are you high school student?" or
"are you over 21?"
There's still however a couple of nice workers and for the sake of old times I'll give it 4 stars.
BOO Do Re Mi Karaoke Sucks!
They Dislike Small Group of Customers!
Me and 2 of My Friends Went There to sing, Drink and have fun
but they told us that there is no room Even though people's keep comming out.. do re mi does not like small group and Bad Service!!!
i rather go to sound of music!

The staff is always super friendly.
They are always fair. Â No monkey business. Â If you've had too much to drink, they give you a free drink and ask you to chill in the lobby before heading out.
The equipment has never been faulty...
The songs are always up-to-date, and the prices are reasonable.
I used to always come here with friends and I loved it. Their music selection could be wider, but I haven't been to other places to compare. Every time I walk in though, they always greet me in Korean (I'm Chinese) because I guess they assume that every Asian is Korean. Anyway. They never gave me a hard time but I know that they treat Korean speakers a whole lot better than non-Korean speakers. Their rooms are very nice and clean, so I don't have to worry about the hygiene. Never ordered food from them, but I know they have an alcohol and food menu. It's $20 an hour for a medium sizes room (2-4 friends) and $30 an hour for a big room (10+ friends), but the fun level really depends on who you go with. I really like their marble tables because they're sturdy and easy to dance on.
Review Source:Not the best selection of non-Korean songs, very limited English and Chinese selection compared to other karaoke places I've been to. I mean, they didn't even have Be Without You by Mary J Blige.... which is as much my signature song as it is Mary's.
They had beers and some liquor, I think also some food selection, but I can't remember much. We got the yogurt soju which wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be a mix of frozen yogurt and soju - as it should be if it wants to be mind blowing, but it was a mix of the Asian yogurt drink and soju. It was good, but they should really consider using frozen yogurt! Â I had fun though, and the price was reasonable, mostly because I didn't pay...
Not to be confused with the Do Re Mi restaurant and bar in the same shopping center, Do Re Mi Karaoke is located on the 2nd floor of the giant shopping center that also includes the Super H-Mart on Pleasant Hill. Â If you are facing H-Mart, Do Re Mi is to the left in the back. Â It is not the Do Re Mi restaurant to the right of H-Mart. Â This place is pretty big and clean for a karaoke establishment. Â They must have about 15-20 private rooms.
Do Re Mi is a full service karaoke bar with food and drinks. Â You and your friends are assigned one private room at $20 per room per hour. Â They have refrigerators with a variety of beverages from which you grab whatever you want, take it back to your room, and the employees note it on your tab. Â They also have a drink menu. Â We ordered a bottle of yogurt soju for the room. Â You are given complimentary popcorn and raw sliced cucumbers with a spicy sauce -- kind of a funny combination.
It definitely helps having someone in your party who can speak and read Korean because it makes things easier when talking to the staff and also operating the karaoke machine. Â The remote controls are huge (see my photo). Â The rooms are nice and big with a large table in the center, a couch that hugs the wall on three sides, nine television screens, speakers everywhere, a light-up disco ball, and strobe lights. Â They have a great song library with songs from all over the world. Â As you can imagine, a good time can be had here and I recommend it if you're looking for a fun and private karaoke outing.
Song selection is almost identical to the one at Happy Karaoke.
Essentially, it's a ton of korean songs and then there's a section for english songs which has all the major hits but that's it. Â After a trip or two, I imagine you'd exhaust the english song selection completely (at least with your personal tastes).
However, the prices are good ($20/room/hour) and the service is very friendly. Â Would go here again... and of course it's located right next to HMart!
Came here at 11pm on a Friday night with a party of 6 and was pleasantly greeted by the female staff in the front. Â The private room we had was clean and spacious. Â We were given two mics, two song books, and two remote pads (one in English, and one in Korean). Â We hit the first song in, and the disco lights flashed in the room! Â What a surprise as we ooh-ed and aww-ed over it. Â Music volume was a bit overpowering, as we tried to lower it so that voice volume could be louder. Â We tried to fix it, but gave up on not knowing how to use the remote. Â We only spent an hour there, and sang a couple of songs. Â Not sure about the whole songbook collection, but I sang some of my usual favorite tunes. The company is really what matters when it comes to karaoke. Â And I had a great time singing, laughing, and listening to my off-tuned friends singing. $20/hour for a small room was a great price! Â Not sure if I'll check out the other karaoke places in Duluth, but I would definitely come back here!
Review Source:If you're there for the music selection, I say there's another place I rather go to. It's not as up to date as I'd like, but it's - decent.
As for the vibe, half it are due to the company you're with and the place - mmm... personally? I'm not feeling it. =/ The price for the time spent, I rather spend it at Melody Karaoke.
Came by as a party of 8 on Saturday night around 11 after Luxor told us there was a 1-2 hour wait. We stayed here for 4 hours and had 3 more crashers (friends of friends) later on in the night. I lost track of what we ordered but we had several bottles and lots of complimentary food, including delicious fruit plates, Korean BBQ ribs, fried chicken, and fish jerky stuff. Total came out to $200+ and it was super fun for my first karaoke experience!
If you don't show up with Korean speaking friends, they will likely tell you "no room," at least that's what I've heard...
This seems to be one of the swankier and cleaner Korean karaoke bars in Atlanta. Â I had so much fun here, but you definitely need to bring at least one Korean speaking friend to help you get a private room if you have a large group of 8 people or more. Â I went with 8 friends, stayed for a little over 2 hours, split the bill equally, and paid only $6. Â Not bad for an awesome night out.

So it's a random Tuesday and you and you're friends are stumped for ideas on what to do. And you've done the whole Moe's and Joe's thing way too many times. Then, someone belts out Karaoke...whats more random than Karaoke on a Tuesday?! But it's already late, okay...well where is there karaoke in Atlanta?
DO RE MI KARAOKE!!!!
Most people are not familiar with the wonders that is Korean karaoke! It's an obsession, and you can find about a dozen in Duluth. But I would have to say Do Re Mi is my favorite!
It's a bit of a drive north to Duluth, so print out a map to help you find your way. It'll probaly be on your right, in a large Korean shopping center. You'll get the feeling that you someone drove across the world and actually ended up in Korea because nothing is in English. The Karoke bar is in the back on the second floor.
There's about a dozen private rooms, so you're bound to get into on of them for pretty cheap if you split it among all your friends. That's the best part, they charge you for the room and the time you have it, not by the number of people or the number of songs you sing.
And don't worry about embarassing yourself, you're with your friends!
So the rooms are large enough to hold about 30. Padded couches against all the walls, a large coffee table to stand on, Â tons of tvs sporting random world images insinc with the music, 2 microphones for duets, and a size of your face remote control to plug in your selections. And just incase you don't read Korean, the song book is in English as well hosting about 5 billion songs (old and new), and the words spanning across the monitor are in English.
So have fun! and if you are a bit self concious, you can order drinks from the kitchen or flask it...the door is closed.
And if you get bored watching your friend continue with their Celine Dion medley, peek into the other rooms to make fun of the American Idol wannabes.
