Went to dinner on a Wednesday night which we now know not to ever do again since it's kids eat free night, yikes! Â We had a free app to redeem on our MVP card so we chose the chicken southwest egg rolls and they were delicious!
They also have happy hour all day, every day which is very nice, we enjoyed two mai tais each. Â I had the yellowfin tuna burger and hubby had the sirloin tips, both were very good, the dipping sauces they came with were to die for, very spicy which I love. Â
We weren't going to get dessert because we were pretty full and changed our minds at the last minute, and boy am I glad we did, we had the fried cheesecake. Â All I can say is OMG, it was the best dessert I've ever had, it simply must be ordered. Â From now on when I want to treat myself to something sweet, I'm going to Duffy's and get the fried cheesecake!
Our server Montana? was very nice and helpful and our food all came out hot and quite quickly especially considering how packed the place was.
Lunch outside on the porch was great! Beautiful weather & delicious St. Patty's lunch: thinly sliced corned beef (tender & not fatty at all), with cabbage, carrots, potatoes & sourdough bread - a lot of good, basic food. Brought home more than half. Super service. Dog friendly outside dining.
Review Source:I'm not that big on Sports Bars since they have way too much going on at once! I mean the fact you need to YELL your order to the waiter or waitress is bizarre, I mean you got umpteen televisions showing all different things on each one and people are yelling to hear one another but, enough of that let's just get to the food shall we? Â Ok, so I went there and decided to get crab cakes (they are my fav) and were they DELICIOUS, scrumptious, mouthwatering OH MY! Â The waitress we had the first time was very nice and made sure we had everything correct. Â If you go GET THE CRAB CAKES!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!
Review Source:Although I'm definitely not a sports fan (actually loathe team sports), but the food outweighed the whoop-it-up, excessively loud atmosphere at Duffy's. I can ignore the uber-distracting, giant TVs bombarding me with guys sweating and running around in tight pants. It seemed at first to be sensory overload, but once the food came, taste was the prominent sense.
The servers were on top of things despite a full house and many special requests from the surrounding tables. No snotty or harried attitudes there. I would not be able to work like them. Service was a solid A.
I had opted for the grilled Yellowfin Tuna. blackened is optional, but with Tuna, I am a purist. It was cooked a perfect medium rare, juicy and full of flavor with just the right amount of char. The sides were a good-sized baked potato and fresh, but under seasoned grilled zucchini.
My wife went for the Maryland Crab Cakes. She actually makes the best cakes I have ever had, so this would be a good quality check. The must have passed as she had gotten them again on a return trip 4 days later.
My mom had opted for the Tenderloin tips. She had raved about them and apparently this was not her first tips experience. Because of this, I tried them on our return visit. The tips were everything my mom had said and more. I couldn't get enough. These were not average, grisly steak trimmings. They were honestly marinated, juicy tenderloin tips. Phenomenal!!
My dad got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken as I recall. No complaints from my dad usually means pretty good, plus he isn't a first-timer here either.
So, if you can deal with the wait, which, with all of the older clientele, is entertaining at least, and you can tune out or absorb the noise and hubbub inside, give Duffy's a try, and if possible, more than once.
Came here on a weekday afternoon while getting my car fixed across the street. Â When I sat down, the waitress gave me an application to fill out for their card club thing, and told me a bunch of specials for the day such as cheaper prices from 2-4 pm (it was around 3 pm), dinner specials, etc. Â I filled out the card application and gave it back to her before the food arrived. Â When I got my check, I asked why the "specials" of the day weren't applied and she said I had to go online and register my card first...but I gave her the card application so I don't even have the info, just an empty useless card.
The food was edible but not great...veggies weren't fresh and the seafood was really oily. Â There's a ton of TV's all around so it's a decent place to hang out, but there are several sports bars nearby that have better food and great happy hour specials that don't require joining some online club. Â Even with the afternoon deals, I'd rather go to Yardhouse for happy hour.
Rude Rude Rude
That is all I can say because from the waitress sitting in the  booth with us to take the order (who invited her) and when we questioned something the manager came over and said "you must be from the north" (what the heck does that mean) I replied that it was that way at the Boynton location to which he walked away. Â
Stay away from the Delray location and go to Boynton because it is worth it.
This is a great sports bar to watch a game. Â The service is great. Â (I especially like Lisa..my mug is never empty!), the food is good and when the crowd is into it, lots of fun. Â To me, an active group of people cheering a big game is almost like being in the ball park. Â If you dont mind the crowds on game night, this is a great place to hang out.
Review Source:Showed up early evening on a Saturday, so the place was just half full. Â For whatever reason we were seated in a totally empty section without a customer or waiter in sight, and left there unattended for a ridiculous amount of time. Â The place was full of staff waiting around for customers, but no one even walked by our table. Â I actually had to get up and approach a group of them to ask if anyone was working our area, and the answer I got was "I'm sure there is!" Â I returned to my table unimpressed and waited another few minutes while the staff giggled about my attitude, and still no one came over. Â Left without placing even a drink order after 20 minutes. Â There are plenty of other food options that provide twice the service with half the staff. Â The only reason I give them 2 stars rather than 1 is because the manager did try to salvage the situation by offering a free appetizer, but by that time I'd lost my appetite for Duffy's.
Review Source:My parents rave about the wings, so the fact I'm not a wing-lover made me nervous I'd enjoy anything at Duffy's.
I was wrong!
Firstly, there are a lot of amazing dishes on the menu you wouldn't expect from a sports bar, most of which was what I ordered! First, I got fresh-made guacamole which was amazing. The first time I was there, I ordered a gorgonzola salad which was fresh, tasty, and surprisingly filling. The second time, I ordered tofu curry on rice which was so delicious! I can't believe I can get decent curry at a sports bar!
The before-4pm specials they have for Duffy's members is a steal, so sign up! The two-for-one bottle specials is also a perk!
The next time I'm in town, I'll definitely partake in Duffy's again!
First time I'm here on Monday night and they run out Ribs. Waiting forever for our food, the place is clearing out and kitchen still doesn't have it together. Music is so loud you can't talk with shouting, why does management allow this. I'm here for dinner, it's not club- turn the music down. If the food is not here soon think I'll leave for McD's.
Review Source:Took forever to get our food. Â I went for their lunch specials which are decent at a decent price but the service was so slow. Â But I gotta say, the dinners are pretty good. Â The tuna appetizer was good, the cheeseburgers are really good and the deep fried fish sandwich covered in cornflakes are also really good.
Review Source:5 Star Sports Bar.
First, I must tell you I am a big fan of the Duffy's corporation altogether. Â The staff is always friendly, the locations are well run, they make watching sports comfortable and fun, and they offer a great VALUE to their guests. Â The [free] loyalty program is set up so that you basically get 10% off (you collect points and for every $100 you spend- you get $10 off your bill). Â Happy Hour is awesome- 2 for 1 drinks from 4pm-close. Â There are different offers each day of the week too. Â Bottom line is, they make their customers want to return repeatedly by giving back a little something here and there. Â
The Delray location is probably my favorite one. Â They have a very friendly staff and perfect set up for watching sports wherever you are seated. Â Like other locations, the food selection is the best of any other local sports bar chains (although I wish the wings were better). Â I do like that they have a wide variety and you can actually eat somewhat healthy if you want to.
Some of my favorite menu options are...
Starters: Dolphin fingers, flat bread w/ chicken, fish tacos (great as a meal too)
Main Course: Chinese Chopped Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken Pita, Veggie Burger (ask for tzaziki sauce on the side instead of mayo), Tuna Burger  & the sweet potato fries are yummy
We like to come on trivia night, which costs nothing to play, is operated by a very nice & efficient guy, and you can win gift certificates for your next visit.
Overall, Duffy's is one of our favorite spots- we know we can have a good time, watch the game, and not spend a fortune.
There is one of the best Bartender here!
I have been living in Delray for a while and never stopped by at Duffy's. Decided to come here to have a few drinks. I was surprise that it was a pretty big place. They have a large dining area and a large bar. Anything you ask for they have. Drinks are 2 for 1.
Several TVs around the bar and they even had a trivia game going on. Everyone was very well entertained. Music playing throughout the bar too.
Food is pretty good. We tried the calamari and we were satisfied!
Everyone working here seems to be happy and interacting with customers. It was a fun night.
3.5 is what I give this establishment. Considering the place was mobbed on a Saturday night we had good service, 2 for 1 drink specials and pretty good food. My husband went there as well for UFC fight and was happy with no cover charge and 2 for 1. So by far this is no "dining" experience, but an easy laid back sports bar/grill that's suits your needs for the proper occasion.
