We used to like this place but menu is different and the food is not as good...too many changes.
It's not as "happy" there either, it is stark and  seems a little tense.
I don't see many of the old "regulars" there... sad.

While out questing for a new breakfast spot to try, Dimitri's came to mind from from a visit a few years back. While it doesn't had the ambiance or shine of a Delectable Egg, Snooze or Le Peep, the fare is more than adequate particularly considering the helpful, fast staff. Do yourself a favor a give em a visit.

it has been several month since i came.  the atmoshere was somewhat different and I couldnt pin point.  the menu was updated and price seemed to be lower.  still had several familiar face but,,,...

soon as we sat down, very friendly waitress came to give us coffee and took our order.  few minutes later, mini muffin arrived.  this was a big surprise because they have gotten rid of it about a year ago.  i definetely knew something has changed.

our food came out quickly, service was marvelous and the coffee filled to the rim.

i will give 4 star for the value and quality, 5 star for our waitress, atmoshere is the usual 3 star but was very clean.

On the way out, i finally noticed Dimitri's prized sports memorabilia was all gone and replaced with meaningless items taking its spots. I will miss him.  He always handed out dumdumss to kids after meal and always greeted us with smile.  After he was tending other business (?), his wife was not so friendly but kept the place somewhat floating but still had that family type restaurant feeling.

Now, the new place, new management (?), new people, new price will get some getting use to but i will definetely come back for more.

Its lot better value than the Sam #3 down the street and lot quiter.

I have been eating at Dumitri's since 1998.

The menu has a wide range of items and it serves to offer a variety for different people in the party.  If you can't decide between burgers, Greek or Mexican you can go here and everyone can order what they like.

The servers are also very nice and the food arrives quickly.  When you get there and are first seated they meet you with a plate of mini muffins.

On Tuesdays they have a great special of Buy one entree and 2 beverages at regular price and receive your second entree of equal or lessor value FREE!

Unfortunately this visit comes on the coattails of a visit to another Greek restaurant and Dumitri's fell a little short.  I ordered the Chicken Soulavki sandwich.  While it was put together nicely the flavor of the chicken was almost nonexistent.  I beginning to think that it must be harder than I think it is to add a bit of acid or a pinch of salt to any items.  The chicken should be dancing in my mouth with the taste of Mediterranean flavors.  One suggestion might be to hit it with a small squeeze of lemon just before it comes off the grill and a fresh sprinkling of dill.

I did like their tzatziki better than most others and they didn't charge extra for the feta.  The fries were tasty and cooked perfectly.

Dumitri's Family Restaurant has excellent breakfast.  The American and Greek foods are delicious.  The weekends are often busy, so plan on waiting.  Dumitri's has been a staple in the Aurora community for years.

It is a very good local place with friendly owner and excellent wait staff.  There is a wide variety of foods available.  There is a sports bar connected to it, so there is something for everyone here.

You should go to Dumitri's Family Restaurant.  You'll be glad you did.

Really mediocre frozen food, topped with slow grumpy service.

The restaurant side is alright but the sports bar is where it is at.  This is the only place I know that you can get Greek food, American, Mexican, or Breakfast anytime of the day.  My personal favorites are the french dip or a smothered burrito. Plus they have happy hour drink specials and tons of TV's for watching the games on. The people are very friendly and it is an all around good place.

i have been going here on and off for five years.  this is deff not a family restaurant.... its a old persons restaurant!!!   whenever im there im the youngest person there, second youngest would be my dad at 55. i hate to say it but it is slowly going down hill. they have a good tuesday special buy one get one free meal with the purchase of two drinks. me and a friend went there and the waitress was like what would like to order? so my friend orders and i said i would like.  then she points her index finger up and says WAIT YOUR TURN! i was insulted. thats not how u treat a custumer especially the one thats paying and tipping you.  that same day they put all the tvs on some weird filipino show with drag queens and gay people.  not very family oriented!  id give it one star but ill give it two in hope they tweak  their recent defects

I went with a few friends and we were promptly seated and well waited upon. The food however was just mediocre. We had breakfast there which consisted of eggs, toast or pancakes, and hashbrowns.

Overall, the service was good, prices were cheap, but the food was just average.

I don't know, a greek cafe is a greek cafe. Food is simple, decent in preparation. I can not say wow. The omelets are good, lunch salads are decent. Gyro meat is a 5 out of 10.
So an average place for an average crowd. It is the place that brings out a lack luster review because it is simply there with a simply there grub for a decent price.
Greek breakfast or lunch are good. Enough said.

Dumitri's is a great place for a business meeting.  I love their Denver Omlette for brunch and their Souvlaki Salad with chicken for lunch!  Dumitri's wait staff has gone all out decorating the restaurant for the Holidays!  The colorful lanterns from the Philippines are really beautiful!  You have got to stop in and see how beautiful the decorations are!

We love to go here on weekends. This place is a great weekend breakfast or lunch place. Have not been in for dinner before, but I am sure it is decent. The restaurant layout is simple and clean. The staff is friendly, and helpful if you have questions about the menu. The menu has a variety of items to choose from: Greek, Mexican, sandwiches, and breakfast.
The Greek omelet is my favorite so far.  Great place for a "hangover" breakfast! The other side of the restaurant is a lounge/bar and has a great happy hour. (Just be forewarned if under 60 are, you will be the youngest couple in the place...) From what we could gather, they have regulars that come into for an evening cocktail and the dinner special. (early bird)  We had gone in for a late lunch, and ended up sitting in the bar lounge and watching the game (think it was Rockies) on the TV and enjoying the cheap happy hour drinks.  Every time we have gone here, we meet the best people and have a great time. The prices are decent, and the food is good. No complaints.

It was okay. I think the mashed potatoes were instant. The desserts are from costco (as I suspect most of the food is). It was okay. My coke was flat. Not sure what, if anything, was made in house. Liked the extreme variety of the menu, but... Meh.

Dumitri's has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I've been going there for about 7 years and enjoyed it all this time.  I really find the little muffins they give out during breakfast yummy but they didn't do it last time I was there.
Personally, I eat the Greek breakfast or lunch.
It's a great place to relax and enjoy the food plus Dumitri is a sports fanatic.  He had TVs all over with the games on.
Oh and the patio is nice too.

A veteran of the hip-and-happening Havana Street scene, Dumitri's has been welcoming movers, and shakers, from the metro area (and beyond!) for decades.

The cavernous space is in fact divided into two sections - the Restaurant proper, and the Sports Lounge, with many of the same great dishes offered in both.

The menu has so many choices - Greek Dolmades (succulent beef-stuffed grape leaves), decadent, cheesy Chile Rellenos, or even a juicy burger with all the fixin's!

I personally like the Authentic Ethnic Specialties section, which gives me the chance, if I so desire, to chow down on Austrian Veal Schnitzel or even sample the German pork-chop-and-sausage fest called the Blue Plate Special.

One of the affable waitresses observed during a prior visit that the restaurant's preparation of Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage (or, if you prefer, Toltött Káposzta) is in fact very similar to that of a dish from the owner's native country (Romania) called Sarmale. And even with my admittedly rudimentary knowledge, I'm inclined to agree!

So pop in to Dumitri's, and see what you've been missing.

This place always is clean, help is friendly, and have never gotten sick. It is a place where you can go alone and not feel out of place. I love their eggs benedict. Worth the drive. Also won't break the bank and service is fast. Love the little muffins they give you with coffee.

My ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) meets here for breakfast once a month.  My wife and I have been here for dinner 3 or 4 times in the past couple of years.

Breakfast is especially good with all of the traditional choices.  Service is excellent and prices are reasonable.

The ambiance and menu are very reminiscent of a North Jersey diner (not quite, but as close you'll get in this area).   I wouldn't go too far out of my way, but if you're in the area and want to skip the many franchise restaurants, Dumitri's is definitely worth a stop.

Friendly atmosphere and good food. Popular with the Windsor Gardens crowd for the early bird specials! Don't be scared off by the strip-mall location or quiet front dining room.

There are two sides to this restaurant: the 'rest home' restaurant side and the 'sports lounge' side.  Hungry for dinner at 3:00pm? Head down to Dumitris for their daily early bird special. Feeling a little more lively? Swing into the bar side where the energy is a bit more up-tempo and the drinks are generous and cheap.

We ordered dolmades appetizers, chicken slouvaki salads and a couple of glasses of wine. Grand total $35 for two. You can't beat it! The salads were fresh and big, the chicken well flavored.

The service was friendly and timely with introductions to the owners all around.

Maybe even swing by the Bingo place next door for a quick game after your meal!
