This DD is always swamped, but service is quick. I would give this place four stars except for the rude service this morning.
In the middle of telling the cashier my order, she interrupts me to ask another person what kind of doughnut they had. I told her my order again. She repeated it back. No big deal.
She hands me the wrong coffee and I tell her I ordered pumpkin, not regular. She goes, "Ummm, you did not say pumpkin."
UMMMM maybe if she didn't interrupt me, she would have heard! I mean, she did repeat it back so maybe she mixed it up with another order. But still, don't give me attitude and insist I changed my mind at the last minute! (-_-)
I will stick to the other DD on Madison. They are slower but the employees are nicer.
This location is usually very fast for the amount of people they service in the morning. Â I usually in and out in 5 minutes at the very most. Â Today, I went in and waited for over 10 minutes. Â I thought they forgot about me but everyone was waiting and not a lot of numbers were being called to pick up orders. Â I don't know why today they were just not on their A game. Â Again, usually they are super fast so I will still go here.
Review Source:You know, it's funny that other Yelpers are putting down the Washington/Wells location. I like this spot for the quick jolt of coffee or when someone forgets office treats on Friday, but this place is way too packed at all times. There are always long lines and I have never gotten good service here. This from me who always smiles at people who work in the food service/retail industry. I worked in retail for 12 years and know that it can be hard to stay positive when you are bombarded by customers.
I actually  prefer the other location for the manageable lines and great customer service, but this one is closer when I am at work.
This is the best Dunkin' Donuts I've ever been to. I didn't think a Dunkin' Donuts like this ever existed.
The people who take my order are so friendly! And the donuts are always fresh.
Their "cousin" Dunkin' Donuts location on Washington can learn a thing or two from the Madison & Wells location.
Hell yeah!
We were walking around Chicago and noticed a free donut with drink purchase after visiting Willis Tower. Â The man who served us was a bit rude. Â He cited that the prices on my friend's drink was higher than usual because of the timing of the day/day of the week. Â The prices listed didn't indicate any certain timing. Â Anyway, the donut was alright. Â Not warm/fresh as I would wished it should be,... but it was 7-8pm... I wouldn't expect it to be so.
Review Source:What is the deal with the East Coast LOVING Dunkin Donuts? Â Recently I stepped in and quickly the aroma of sweetness filled my nostrils causing me to draw nearer to the collection of donuts. Â Standing there, the aroma of coffee also filled my nasal passageways and I was addicted. Â Rather than ordering one donut, we ordered a dozen donuts and a jug of coffee. Â The servers were wonderful and cute. Â Providing enough creamers, coffee cups and sugars to last beyond our jug of coffee. Â The donuts...were dunkinly delicious!
Review Source:One of the best French Vanilla Iced Coffees I have had yet. If only my local DD on Pershing/Archer/Rockwell across from the old Archer Garage **rest in peace** could actually put French Vanilla in (instead of, get this, Blueberry. Every time.) I would be much happier.
It is a struggle to find that perfect French Vanilla Iced Coffee, because it is a truth universally acknowledged that ones made with simple syrup taste nasty and the granulated sugar is the way to go. You MUST request this, and hope and pray that they listen, and this DD delivers.
It is small though, and the selection of donuts/pastries could be better...but I'll sacrifice that for a well-made beverage :)
I know...who reviews Dunkin Donuts? Someone who eats breakfast there every morning, that's who.
They have the best coffee of all the chains. Hands down. I like it, dare I say, almost as well as Intelligencia? Perhaps. Also, egg white flat bread kicks ass. Only has like 300 calories. And is delish.
Only bad thing about this location is one girl who works the register always screws up my order. 9 times out of 10. I'm there every day. I get the same thing. it's annoying.
Regardless, I always walk away with a filling, somewhat healthy and inexpensive breakfast. Thanks, Dunkin.
I have recently gained a new addiction.
I'd end the review there and let you guess what it was but that would be mean of me, plus it's kind of obvious.
I have become (voluntarily) addicted to coffee.
After drinking tea my whole life (literally, since I was old enough to hold a mug on my own) I've made the conversion to coffee and boy am I ever pleased with my decision. It took years (and way too much cream and sugar) before I finally was able to stand the stuff. And now, not only can I stand it, I crave it. Need it. Cannot start my weekday mornings without it.
Okay well, most weekday mornings. The ones where dragging myself out of bed is a chore on par with climbing Everest.
Anyway. This Dunkin Donuts is pretty much responsible for the newfound early morning lovefest between me and my medium hazelnut with skim and two Splenda. And they understand the importance of fast service. Speedy, quick, rapid, whatever- they really do have the morning coffee routine down. The lines move quickly and I'm usually in and out of there within about 2 minutes, maximum.
I still love my tea, but DD has certainly seduced me.
It's been over a month since my unintentional conversion to medium coffee with cream and sugar. Â After about a week of just taking it like a bespectacled third grader, I decided to try my hand at regaining the "large coffee, cream only" order of original intent.
I tried each counter, alternating variously, announcing my beverage of choice, seeing if anyone would catch on to the perfect cup of joe.
This past week I went four times. Â At each and every counter, the delightful cashier looked at me and said, "Large coffee, cream only." Â I nodded, and went on my way.
Best DD ever.
All four of these stars are for efficiency. Â The coffee at this DD is no different (not that I can tell anyway) from any other. Â But they have got the morning coffee routine down to a science. Â This is a well-oiled machine.
I've officially run out of cliches for how efficient these folks are, but trust me, if you're in a rush in the morning and need a 'ffeine fix, hit up this DD.
I run on Dunkin.
It used to be a habit...every morning, getting off the brown line at Washington/Wells, walking a half a block in the wrong direction to get my Blueberry Iced Coffee... and of course my energy to last through the morning hours.
I decided (for nothing more but money reasons) that it should be a treat instead of a habit... And oh boy it is!! This place is packed in the morning with quick coffee pouring, donut giving, employees and the seemingly long morning lines move very quickly.
I haven't been here for anything but the coffee, but it looks like they have a pretty good lunch menu with sandwiches and such on it. But I just cant bring myself to buy lunch from DDs!
Only one gripe... the other day, my hot coffee seemed to have some kind of hard "plastic" type of something in the bottom of it...and i think i might have swollowed some of it. I have no idea what this was....but it kinda freaks me out everytime i take a sip of a new cup. hmmm....Choking on plastic just doesnt sound fun to me!
