My husband and I come to the Dusty Boot primarily for happy hour, but we've also been for breakfast/brunch on the weekend. Â The happy hour is terrific!! Â There are superb daily drink specials, our favorite being the $3 Stoli on Thursdays. Â The drinks are poured on the strong side. Â The happy hour food menu is fantastic as well, with my favorite being the homemade queso. Â I really dislike the "fake cheese" types of queso that most restaurants throw at you - DB makes theirs from scratch. Â Delish!!
As for breakfast, we typically order the Eggs Benedict - always cooked perfectly.
I have visited for lunch and happy hour. The Dusty Boot is for the most part pretty quiet, happy hour can get a little crazy but hey that's what we want at happy hour right? The service is good, quick and the servers are pleasant.
I have some special dietary needs and the waitress was more than willing to listen closely to my special order as I instructed her how to modify what I was ordering. Then as she brought my food I noticed that she took time to verify it was correct as she left the kitchen with it. Finding that it was not she did an about turn, corrected the cook's mistake and delivered the plate perfectly as I had ordered it.
We've visited twice. The first time was for lunch. Â Good service and burgers. Â
We thought we'd give the steaks a try and last weekend  took a friend to dinner.  What a disappointment.  The prices were steak house prices - pretty much what we expected, but the prime rib was on par with Golden Corral.  Ok, but not at these prices.  The two choices for horseradish as an accompaniment were vinegar with a little horseradish or something that looked like horseradish flavored salad dressing.  We would have been better off with horsey sauce from Arby's.  My wife's filet was ordered medium and was so rare she didn't eat it. Â
If you want a good burger, this place is worth considering, but if you're looking for a great steak, I'd keep looking....
Mediocre service, decent burgers, average fries and cold beer served in a clean environment. Â What is not to like or dislike about Dusty Boot? Â I tried this Dusty Boot the other night, since it is close to our house and I was wanting a burger in a nicer restaurant. Â Their buy-one-get-one burger offer sealed the deal, and we were off to Dusty Boot. Â I left full and satisfied, but not anxiously wanting to schedule my return visit. Â I will be back, I just don't see this as my "go-to" burger place.
Review Source:I will say our "20 minute" wait that turned into 40 mins was frustrating. The drunk old men/locals at the bar, who thought they were pretty hot, were annoying  and inappropriate. HOWEVER, after we were seated, we felt very welcome and not rushed by our waitress. The lettuce wraps were good, smokey flavor,  and the beer- cold. My shrimp tacos were some of the best I've had. My neighbor had surf and turf (shrimp and filet) and said it was a very good steak. Had a nice time, friendly atmosphere, good food. :)
Review Source:This was our third visit to location using a $20 Groupon.  A few weeks ago we tried  the Greenwood Village location for lunch.  I made a reservation through Open Table.  We were seated within a couple of minutes by the bartender.
My husband ordered the Cc Tear Jerker Burger ($11) which had jalapeno-cream cheese and 2 slices of bacon. Â The burger was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Â The fries were crisp with the skin on, but over-seasoned.
I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich ($12) with fries. Â The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered. Â The au jus was way too salty. Â And again, my fries were over-seasoned.
The server brought us the check without us asking for it when we were only half way done with our lunch. Â She was the only one working the entire dining room.
The prices of the food have gone up. Â They need to update the menu prices on the internet.
We probably won't be back.
Seated quickly, attentive server, and the food was great! Â We had the Cajan Steaktips for an appetizer..........YUM...........I want that for dinner next time! Â I had the Prime Dip, which was wonderful! My husband had the CC Tear Jerker Burger, which was also great! Â We will be back! Â :)
Review Source:Went there for dinner on Sunday evening 12/16/12. Â It is close, we drive by it often and always wanted to check it out. Â
We walk in and are blown away by the volume on the TV coming from the bar - Pats/Niners game. Â We thought this was a steakhouse, not some sports bar!
Thought we may be able to escape the volume in the dining area - no way. Â We are greeted by a large projection screen of the game with more volume getting pumped in. Â It was obnoxious. Â Looked around a other diners and no one was talking to each other because you couldn't even hear yourself think!!!
Lots of good options in SE Aurora - this isn't one of them. Â They need to call it what it is - a tiny sports bar with standard bar fare. Â
I won't be back.
I have now been to the Dusty Boot 3 times, always for brunch. The first time my food came out a bit cold and I was not happy, but my friend liked her food and we both loved the $7 bottomless mimosas so we gave it another chance. The next two visits, I have ordered the breakfast burger and I actually really like this. It is a hamburger with bacon and egg on it. I got the hash browns today and smothered them in the garlic hot sauce they make and it is all very good. Every single time we have gone the waitstaff has made sure our mimosas are always filled up and this keeps us coming back.
Review Source:They did not cook my boyfriends burger well enough, when we sent it back they microwaved it. The service was terrible and when we confronted the waitress as well as manager neither of them were very comforting. I would more recommend this place for the quiet bar setting. I have a feeling that this was the first and last time I will go here.

The service was TERRIBLE! Â
We sat with empty glasses for long periods of time several times. Â Our waitress would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. Â It took 25 minutes from the time we ordered to the time the food came. Â A burger came out medium rare when it was ordered medium well. Â When it was sent back it was microwaved. Â They even microwaved the lettuce. Â When I complained about delays the waitress became surly. Â Then when she refilled glasses she slammed the cups down on the table. Â Talked with Travis, the manager, and he did reduce the cost by $5.00 for the inedible burger. Â He apologized without offering any indication of a lesson learned or what they would do to correct the situation. Â I've been to this restaurant twice and both times the service was awful. Â I won't be going back again unless I hear directly from them that they have improved the situation.
We went to the Dusty Boot because it was close to the house and we didn't feel like going to a chain restaurant. The server, Ken was extremely honest he made some solid recommendations. The staff was very accommodating and wanted our experience to be memorable.
We sat on the patio, which is the BEST patio in SE Aurora, and had our fair share of drinks! The jalapeno margarita and the cucumber margarita were THE BOMB! As well, on Wednesdays, they have BOGO burgers, this is a steal!
Pretty good experience, however, if there is one bit of feedback I would give to them is speed up your drink services. We waited about minutes after we ordered a drink from the bar. That is pretty slow considering it really wasn't that busy at the restaurant.
I'll definitely be back for all you can drink mimosas and good food!

I would rate this place as only okay. Sitting out on the patio does help and it's has good  atmosphere  with nice people.  However we went there craving steak and ordered  filet cooked medium.  It came out cooked well done, which is just a sad thing to do to a steak. The waitress did take both steaks back and our new steaks came out cooked medium. Unfortunately  the steaks were not seasoned and didn't have much of a  flavor at all. I believe this is a place more for burgers, sandwiches and wraps. If I had ordered one of those items my review could be different.
Review Source:Ok, I've just found my new hidden neighborhood gem in The Dusty Boot. Â I've passed this place several times a week since moving to this area last year but never stopped as the strip mall appearance never looked appealing to me. Â Went for a family lunch and we all fell in love with the place. Â The wait staff was great, met one of the owners who was extremely cool as well. Â While I was ordering I ready another Yelp review which said the fish and chips were amazing. Â The wife had those and said they were the best she's ever had. Â I had the chicken cobb sandwich and was very pleased. Â Prices were great, portions good, great atmosphere. Â This will now be a regular for us.

Chips are great. In this case they are home made potato chips that are crispy and perfectly salted. Then the fish... Lightly breaded and lots of it.

This was our first visit, on a Sunday afternoon between lunch and dinner service. The service was friendly prompt and very attentive. That was a pleasant plus. our waiter was not overbearing, but made sure we lacked nothing.
The mimosas were priced right for the quality of the drink. $7 for a bottomless mimosa is a decent price.
The burritos were generously portioned, but the meat was lacking in quantity, though the two or three peces of cubed steak I tasted were flavorful and pretty tender. I would have expected the guar and sour cream to be served with and not a la carte, for the price of the entree. The other thing we noticed was the burritos seemed to be finished in the microwave.
The menu was confusing. burritos, steaks, hummus, french fries, nachos.... It's a kitchen sink approach to food service that is unnecessary. Just be a great steakhouse, with complimentary sides, and don't go so overboard with every imaginable kid of food.
We were there between the brunch and dinner service, and there were a fw people a the bar, and maybe two other tables. I would go back to see what service is like when they are more at capacity. I could tell this is a sort of neighborhood watering hole.
Visited on 9/11/2011 and happy to say they have great happy hour menu and drink specials, not to mention Sunday BOGO menu after 5:00 p.m. The burger was good, the fries were great but the wait person never came back to check on how we were doing. Too busy socializing with other staff. Finally caught her attention to bring water and bill. I was done with the burger and beer by this time. To our surprise, bill came with 18% tip added. I guess too worried of not receiving the tip on BOGO item. After today's bad service, I wanted not ever going back. However, I have decided to leave a comment for the owner to read and in hopes of spank them into shape.
Food: Burger was OK, fries were great.. was it double fried?
Drink prices: Happy Hour beer price was awesome.
Waitstaff: at least she was friendly, needs to check on the customers more than just bringing the food and bill.
Dear dusty boot,
Please bring back the chicken fried steak as that's the only reason I ate here. :( I'm referring to the original you served before the switchup to the weird chicken fried steak with the ham on it. I even used to endure the weird server who stared and lingered too long for this tasty treat.
I'm sure there are other items on the menu but they just don't stack up.
My hubby and I frequent this place about once a month. Â We aren't looking for a fancy, schmancy date night joint, but we are looking for a place that allows our kiddo to join us and has decent food, a good atmosphere and good pricing.
I recommend people pay attention to their specials nights (see their website as they differ from location and they also change occasionally) as you get the best bang for your buck. Â Buy one, get one on steaks, burgers and free kids meals make it a more affordable night out.
For food, we like their Happy Hour as they have 1 appetizer that makes an appearance that can't be found any other time: Â Buffalo Chips - homemade potato chips topped with buffalo sauce, bacon, cheese and served with blue cheese or ranch. Â We are also fans of the burgers and fries (my fav is the breakfast burger with cheese, bacon and a fried egg).
We've been to brunch twice on Sundays, and I've had their carnitas pork hash which is to DIE for! Â Hubby had a breakfast burrito which is massive, also with the carnitas inside, and green chile outside. Â Kiddo loves the banana split waffle with a dulce sauce, fresh bananas and tons of whipped cream.
The wait staff and managers definitely aim to please. Â They make mistakes from time to time, but do a great job trying to make it up to you and have you leave happy! Â They have a BEAUTIFUL patio that overlooks the city (and new intersection construction). Â For those who haven't been happy, it's probably because they were expecting a lot. Â On the sign out from, it says Dusty Boot Steakhouse and Saloon. Â For those familiar with the term Saloons, they are casual joints where you show up in your work boots. Â (Dusty boots) Â This isn't going to be an Elways and you aren't going to be picking peanuts out of the heals of your shoes like Texas Roadhouse. Â This is a small, neighborhood steakhouse and bar that locals frequent and enjoy.
I had dinner here a few nights ago with friends as other places in the area were far too crowded. I ordered the Chicken Rockerfeller, which I loved!
I cant say that I was too impressed with the overall atmosphere. The service was OK, but definitely could have been much better. It didnt help that our server didnt even ask us if we would like anything for desert before handing us the bill. Her loss. I cant say that the Dusty Boot will be high on my list of places to go in the future.
Go for the food, but dont have high expectations of the service.
We tried this place blind because of restaurant week. Definitely not an upscale steak house, but it's got a nice family environment.
The service was freaking' horrible! At first I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because restaurant week is HELL for servers, but this girl was just in a horrible mood. I ordered water when I we sat down and didn't get it until dessert. Yikes! She even commented to us about how the kitchen had new cooks and how other customers kept ordering off the wrong menu. Which menu should we order off of then? You only gave us one.
The shrimp appetizer was good, my filet mignon didn't suck, but my boyfriend's prime rib was GRAY. It was inedible and literally gray. At the end of the night, the server overcharged the other couple we were with by $10.
The only redeeming quality was rock and roll bingo.
I'll bet this place is good to watch the game and eat a burger, but probably not too much else.
I visited this place on Friday, February 11, 2011. We previously had a bad experience at the Dusty Boot in Greenwood Village, and were given a gift card to try it again. So, we headed out to the one in Aurora. Here is what I thought...
FOOD: We started off with the Mac 'N Cheese wedges...they are awesome, but come on $8...really? I was shocked when I found out the price of this item. Next, I had a dinner salad--this was a joke. There were a couple pieces of lettuce on the plate, some tomatoes, onions and that's about it. Maybe it was the presentation of the salad that threw me off, it was on this GINORMOUS plate. My main course was the Smokey Burger. The BBQ sauce was great. Overall a good burger, but extremely messy - just to warn you.
SERVICE: We had an excellent waiter, he was friendly and efficient. However, the rest of the wait staff was just standing around, NOT helping him out. So, service was slow...but he was the ONLY waiter for the restaurant. That was the same problem at the other location. Obviously they have some staffing issues at this restaurant chain.
VENUE: It was kind of a weird setup, EXTREMELY loud and our table was dirty when we were seated. I was NOT impressed. The lighting killed my eyes because it would reflect off the menu and blind me. It was very strange.
Overall, the Mac 'N Cheese wedges are good, the burger was good...but not good enough to make me become a regular. We've got about one more meal on our gift card and I will not be back. The one in Beaver Creek is much better, but the staffing issues in Denver will deter me from returning to these locations on my own.
Wow, what a difference a year makes. For the first 4-6 months after coming here for the first time, rarely would a year go by when we didn't come here for BOGO burger Wednesday or just cause. Decent happy hour, BOGO burgers, good service, a great experience all the way around.
When the Groupon came out recently we realized we haven't been here for quite some time. Maybe 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months. And every time we go and decide not to come back, it's been service related. We almost always like the food, but when i sit there and have to wave down a server to get a refill, huge negative. My 11 year old was ordering off the adult menu and they gave him a kid size coke. WTF?
Unfortunately, Dusty Boot is being taken out of the rotation, which is sad cause I truly enjoy their burgers.
So a year later I have to knock a star off Dusty Boot. Â The food CAN be great. Â Same goes with the service, but anymore they both are spotty. Â I can not tell you how many times we have gone to the boot in the last 6 months that our service lacked. Drinks went dry, MIA waiter, slow service. Â It sucks because we really like the food. Â
The boot has a great feel, terrific specials and darn good bar food BUT they need to get their service in order. Honestly, it has gone from our default spot to a spot we only go there if we have a Groupon or we know there is deal going on. Â Too bad :(
My husband I just moved to Denver. Â We had just finished picking all of the options for the house we are building at the design center in Centennial and were looking for a place to eat. Â We used urban spoon and it directed us to another restaurant in the same strip mall. Â When we got to the parking lot, we saw The Dusty Boot and checked Yelp and found that it had a higher rating and was cheaper so we decided to try it out.
Well lucky it was a Tuesday - they had "Buy 1 burger, get the second one for FREE!!!" Â Now THAT'S a freakin' good deal! Â My husband got the breakfast buffalo burger (with eggs and bacon on it!) Â He got it with the onion rings and he really liked it. Â I got a southwester burger with guacamole and bacon with the fries and it was good as well.
I would have given a full 5 stars but my burger was not cooked the way I asked it to be cooked. Â I asked for it to be medium-well and it came to me medium. Â A little too pink for me (although I was too hungry to send it back - besides, it was FREE). Â My husband ordered his medium but it looked medium-rare to me (he didn't mind). Â So just be mindful that they cook burgers on the rare side. Â I will definitely go back on a Tuesday night, but next time I'll order it well done.
By the way, the french fries were awesome! Â They were almost battered and fried...with ranch? Perfect! Â The onion rings weren't bad either :)
We started out with the Tuna Tartar appetizer. It was raw Ahi Tuna on top of a mountain of fresh guac. It came with about 6 little tortilla chips drizzled with a balsamic reduction. It was pretty and tasty, but I dont know that we would get it again. Even at half price, it really wasnt worth 5 bucks. I had the Southwest burger and my husband had the Mountain burger. Both delicious! Cooked perfectly to our desired temperatures. The green chili on mine was tasty but nothing to really write home about. It just basically made my burger require a fork and knife. My husband could not rave enough about his burger. He had juices all over his face and his hands were a MESS! The fries were double crisp and good.
Ok...all that said...we were not greeted or even approached to be seated for longer than was necessary. When we were seated, it was a little tiny two top booth beside the bar, near the kitchen. That was our fault for saying it was ok to seat us there. Our server, BJ, was friendly enough and oddly witty. He sort of checked on us. More of a walking by and glancing at our plates. All in all it was a good experience and we will be back. Hubby says he may try the fish and chips next time and I plan to try the prime rib sandwich.
Maybe it was the day (3/20/2010) or something, but this really wasn't really even near the top.
Me = 16 oz Ribeye (to the tune of $28)
GF = Prime Rib ($14)
Appetizer = Nachos ($9)
The Nachos were great, but the steak was much substandard.
The Ribeye was only so-so (had better at Village Inn and Country Buffet) and if that was 16oz in size then  I am a cattle baron!
The cooks here in Denver just can't seem to get the GF order right, She always orders Well-Done, they almost always give Medium or Medium-Well.
So, for a total of $57.40 (including tax) we got a pretty so-so meal for the evening. Debating if going back is in the cards or not, but probably not.
The Dusty Boot is definitely a 4 star Lunch/Dinner destination. But, for it's Breakfast I give it a half star. Â I've enjoyed dinner here many times and for the location, price, and quality of the food, it's hard to pass up. Â They need to stick with lunch & dinner and drop breakfast from it's menu until they now how to make it right. 1 Star until Breakfast is actually cooked and served well or dropped from this location.
Now for breakfast:
I had the Eggs Benedict and I still can't believe they actually served this and thought it was edible.
1. The Poached eggs were more like 1/2 poached. Â The Yolk slid off the main body of the egg sitting on the english muffin.
2. Hollandaise Sauce was watery.
3. The side order of English muffin ordered was so flat from being pressed into the grill that it was 1/4 the thickness of a normal pancake.
4. Ordered a large Apple Juice and the glass was filled to the top with ice. Â We were told it's just a small can. Â I'd hate to see the small. Â And, since when do restaurants server apple juice on ice? Â Just a ploy to make it look like there's more in there.
This was by far the worst breakfast I've had in years. Â Stay away. You can get a much better breakfast for less at McDonalds.
My hubby and I have hit this restaurant again on a Saturday nite before a movie. Â It's still awesome! Â I ordered a burger this time and WOW, it was great! Â I paid extra for the Bison, it was done perfectly. Â I love that you can build the burger yourself, with a list of great toppings. Â
Try it, you won't be disappointed.
$3.00 for a 25oz draft beer during happy hour? Happy hour 7 days a week? I'm in love with the Dusty Boot.
Living in the South Suburbs we are sadly lacking restaurants with personality. I'm so happy that we finally found a place that we can go for a great meal that doesn't have 100's of locations around the country.
The Steak Cobb Salad is a must try. Piled high with tender, juicy pieces of steak, Gorgonzola crumbles, and a horseradish dressing. I can't wait to go on a Monday for the BOGO steaks.
The service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing!
First time here was to try ribs several months ago, and today it was to watch NFL football.
The ribs were darn good, well seasoned, meaty, and plentiful. Â Right in line with 4 out of 5 stars.
Today, they had burgers on a BOGO special, so burgers it was. Â My football buddy and I ordered the breakfast burger, which had eggs and bacon on it, along with regular burger toppings. Â It was a 1/2 lb patty, juicy, well seasoned, on a ciabatta bun. Â One of the best burgers I have had. Â If you like Cricket burgers, you'll like these. Â Fries were also a highpoint.
As for watching the game there, when we walked in, we were the ONLY people there (11am game) but soon afterward, the restaurant was full. Â Not many watching the game, not like a regular sports bar, but a great place to watch the games. Â Service was very attentive, we were well taken care of. Â They have all the games on large enough screens (42" or 50", not sure, didn't pay that much attention) and you are close by, so you will not miss any part of your game.
The also had drink specials for the games, we both had 2 drinks, and burgers/fries, and our bill came to just under $26, plus tip. Â Great value, in my opinion.
