Easy Lounge

I normally go on Monday night for karaoke...the KJ(Glen) is outstanding!!! The bartender is very nice and the food is very good when they don't run out. That would be the 5th star...everytime I go and order they are out of what I want...I just don't think a place that serves food should run out of most popular dish on the menu. Other than that...love it!

I actually really liked this place when we first moved into the neighborhood last year and have come in fairly often, but the last time that we dropped in, the atmosphere had shifted from being this laid back neighborhood lounge to having to listen to a newer female bartender with glasses screech and woohoo as she got drunker and drunker chugging bottles (and I do mean plural) of Smirnoff Ice because she lost a bet of some sort with the other bartenders. I have worked in customer service before, so I get it--the job can be tedious and you want to liven up the atmosphere a little--but as I looked around, the only people who were really enjoying this show were the three bartenders participating in it; everyone else seemed annoyed. Maybe it was an unusual day, I don't know, or maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I were 22. It's a shame because they do have some great drink mixes and bar food, and for the most part, the bartenders are awesome (I love the one who looks like Seth Rogen's younger, skinnier brother) but that last experience soured me so much, I doubt that I will return.

y'all. i love what you have going here. i really do. drinks: on point. ambiance: perfect. cute ass cactus patio: yes plz! also something you are incredibly consistent about: every time i've come to the new easy in the past year and a half the bartenders ~trip out~ about the fact that people born in the 90s can legally drink alcohol. not only is this a really weird coincidence occurring amongst multiple bartenders, it's pretty rude to point out hOw cRaZy tHiS iS oH mY gOd*~*~*~ to other bar patrons while reading my ID. like can y'all get over it? you've had three years to deal with the shock that people born in 1990 naturally age through time and space and then want to drink a cocktail after work in a cute bar with a nice skylight. srsly what even is this bizarre trend that i have experienced at no other bar on the west coast of the united states besides this one? y'all. what. stop.

five starz: hella brilliant, well crafted drinks! yes! always!
four starz: perf gorgeous patio... that sometimes doesnt have tables or chairs? why? you should have more places for me to write my feelings in a journal while consuming delicious beverages amongst my succulent-kin
one star: saaaad $9 mac and cheese that was incredibly watery? watery milk shell pasta with sad onions on top? plz try again :(
four starz: music choice is never terrible, often fantastic even, and i do enjoy watching a fine infomercial on your televisions
one star: stop tripping out about linear time and the gregorian calendar and telling other random bar patrons MY BIRTHDATE because you are having some sort of weird mid life crisis srsly get over it
