Grand Oaks Restaurant & Sports Lounge

After watching Check Please Bay Area I had some expectations of pretty good food I went here about a year ago and I really wanted to like this place, maybe I came at a bad time or something because I was totally disappointed with the food. I ordered a steak and I know I can do better at home. Not impressed. Sorry. I think just for drinks it would be a pretty good place to go to.

Good place to catch a game, many many TVs. The food is good, cheap drinks, and good service. Will def being going to for A's games! Nice that a place is Oakland hasn't given in to the inflated prices on food/drinks like all the other trendy spots that are popping up.

This is not a place you bring a date. The food is not there to impress. It's there to help prevent a hangover after you've had a $14 pint of beer to yourself as you cheer for our local heroes on the flat screen TVs propped up throughout the bar.
