What a shame that you cannot get a decent bagel or breakfast sandwich in Springfield/Burke.
Einstein Bros. do not sell bagels. They sell round bread that arrives frozen and is steamed up in the store. And they'll even top it with a microwaved, pre-cooked egg for you!
Aside from the terrible food, this store is also really dirty. Trash left on tables. Used napkins on the floor. Â I even saw dried ketchup crusted to the window. Â I'm not a paranoid germ nut, but this place is just filthy.
Met a friend here for breakfast this morning. Â Tried the new bagel thin with light cream cheese. Â Bagel was so-so (not the fault of this restaurant). Â The service was good, restaurant was clean (yes there were some crumbs on the table - but no big deal). Â My friend and I were able to sit and chat for over an hour on a busy Sunday morning.
Review Source:Wouldn't come back here if i was starving and the world had somehow ended by a freak zombie apocolypse. The tables are nasty, the floor sticky and the staff couldn't get my order right. The staff is decently friendly, though idiotic. Way too expensive for what i'm getting to eat. I feel like i might rob the place for their food, but wouldn't spend my hard earned dollars here normally. I can cook my own bagels at home, thanks..

This is by far the dirtiest restaurant in Springfield. I had to wipe the crumbs off my own table. All of the tables were filthy and so was the floor. I told my 12 y/o daughter we would not be back. She asked, "Why? My food was great!" I told her to take a look around and let me know if she felt the place looked clean. She said, "no". I said think about it. If it's this dirty out here, how dirty is it back in the kitchen where they make our food? She said, "oh".
Obviously this place had been busy at lunch, but the last thing you need to be doing is standing around. Â There were 3 staff members and 1 manager behind the counter. 2 of whom looked like they just rolled out of bed and 3 of them were using their cell phones. Â
Lazy staff. Disgusting store.
Obviously, I am not expecting to find good bagels in Springfield, or even at this bagel chain. Â But the bagels are not horrendous - not too big, good variety of flavors, though most are too salty for me. Â The lattes are way too bitter. Â And I needed somewhere that I could get a bagel with lox, with a mocha latte.
My issue is with the staff. Â For the life of them, they cannot figure out my order, which I think is pretty simple. Â "Toasted bagel with a little bit of butter and lox." Â Â This usually requires repeating a couple of times. Â None of the staff are friendly, and today, the cashier actually put his hand up to me when I was telling him what I had ordered. Â I will not be back.
So the great NOVA (no pun intended) bagel & lox with a mocha latte hunt continues.
Einstein Bagel Brothers is a pretty good spot to get some coffee and bagels. Â I think they are pretty tasty, perhaps a little expensive for some bagels and coffee, but not overbearing.
It's a clean environment and good staff. Â The owners/management always seems to be smiling and in a good mood.
I don't go here often (weekly is what I call often), but when we head out for some bagels, this is one of our first choices.
