I only got tacos. Â Tacos! How could it go so wrong? Â Meat was dry, salty and looked like ground beef not steak. Â I even tried to mask the horrible taste with lots of salsa and avocado to no avail. Â I guess the beans were okay but if you can't make a good taco then forget it. Â When I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, the place was deserted. Â Should have known.
Review Source:One night, after a show at the Burlington, I was starving and noticed the lights of El Pacifico on my way home. As it happened, the place was open til 3 am and I figured I'd check out their take on a classic Chicago late night staple: the steak burrito. I was the only person in the restaurant, but the service was friendly and the food quite fresh. Good salsas, decent-sized burrito, and perfectly reasonable prices. I wouldn't claim that I was overwhelmed, but it's a good spot for a quick meal. I'll certainly be back at some point when my food cravings overwhelm my rational desire to just head home. If I lived closer, I could see coming here much more frequently.
