Frankie Bone's Restaurant & Lounge

We went early and it was not very busy.  I could see how the bar could be a cool place to hang out as the night goes on...The rest of the restaurant not so much.  The bar and the dinning areas had a complete different feel.  And there were two weird booths right when you walked in the door.  I can't believe they get people to sit there.

Our issue was the slowness of service.   They had two younger girls working the bar and they did not seem too experienced.  Fair enough, but we sat forever to just put in a drink order then waiting another 10 minutes for the girl to pour the drinks.  We ended up getting an appetizer, which also had taken a long time.  We knew dinner would test our patience, so we paid our bill and had dinner elsewhere.

Wanted to like it but just an overall bad experience due to the slow service.

I enjoyed my time here.  The patio is dog friendly, it has a good list of local brews.

The food that I had was the shrimp appetizer (boom boom?) which were perfect and the flatbread pizza with bacon which was tasty as well.  I went back the next day -- Monday is 1/2 price bottles of wine -- and had the spaghetti and meatballs.  The meatballs are HUGE so be careful.  Pasta and marinara sauce was solid and the meatballs were good but would have been better if the use of garlic had been toned down....so be careful there too if you don't like garlic.

Good service, nice atmosphere.

I enjoy coming to Frankie Bones again and again. The atmosphere is what sets this establishment apart from others on the south side of town (who doesn't love looking at a younger Paul Newman!). The food is great, but the new menu they just dished out has me wanting to come back and try more. They even have a new Dietician approved menu.
Great wine selection, new beers on tap, and infused liquors that are out of this world.
