Great find in the River Arts District! Â We were in town visiting Asheville and debating where to eat dinner. Â Someone had recommended The Junction and after reading the reviews and menu we decided to stop there for drinks and an appetizer. Â
Very hip and upbeat place with a warm atmosphere. Â The host greeted us immediately and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Â He insisted we sit at a table to enjoy our drinks and appetizers. Â The bartender was very personable and made amazing craft cocktails. Â
We ended up ordering two appetizers, the beet salad and the figs. Â Both had fantastic and complex flavors. Â
We will definitely be back to try full dinner and Sunday brunch. Â Cant say enough about the service and the food at The Junction!
I've lived in the neighborhood for a while, and finally decided to head down to the Junction this past weekend. Â I'm certainly glad I did--the food was delectable and the service was wonderful. Â
We ordered the crab and cauliflower soup to start. Â It was light, foamy, and perfectly balanced the light flavor of the cauliflower with the shellfish. Â My partner got a burger for his entree and I had the trout. Â We thoroughly enjoyed both, and the freshness and quality of the ingredients really stood out to us.
The bartender was very friendly and even gave us advice on how to mix some specialty drinks at home. Â The servers and host were very helpful without being ingratiating or overbearing. Â Overall, the Junction has incredible food, fantastic service, and a great ambiance.
I came here with my family while we were on vacation visiting Asheville. We had such a wonderful experience - it was the perfect introduction to this unique little town. The ambiance is warehouse-funky, with exposed brick and fantastic artwork on the walls. But, don't dismiss it as a hipster joint, because the staff and owners are so friendly and down-to-earth, that the overall effect is just fun and comfortable. The server was friendly and un-rushed. He gave us kid options and let us chat and take our time. I had the fried chicken, which was AMAZING. My daughter had the kids' cheese plate and fried okra, and inhaled both. I had the Good Behavior cocktail, which was really tasty and refreshing. The young daughter of the owner was helping to seat tables, which added yet another warm, charming element to the experience. Next time we are in Asheville, we will be back!
