Altamont Brewing Company

This place is a straight up dump with seating for 20 or so people and huge empty spaces. Are we all just supposed to stand around and hold our drinks? How about some high tops to at least rest a beer on?

Good local beer selection (and cheap!), but that doesn't redeem the poorly utilized space, ambiance and unclean bathroom.

Asheville's newest brewery is also one of its more entertaining.

While on the Brews Cruise, we were able to be among the first to sample some of their offerings.

The beer was tasty, but admittedly it was at the end of the tour so I can't tell you much about what I had.

The space itself was very cool. Spacious and open, with foos ball and cornhall to be played, this could definitely be a great bar just by itself.

Makes me wish Cincinnati had a similar venue.

Live bluegrass, reasonably priced local beers, a ping pong table, cornhole in the parking lot.  Lotsa fun.
