Incredible beer. Â
We wouldn't have hiked to who knows where for this little gem if we hadn't heard so many great things about it. Â It is off the beaten path some but worth the trip as you feel transported to beer wonderland upon stepping inside. Â
It was pretty crowded inside but we managed to snag the last two seats at the bar which was good because it meant we didn't have to walk anywhere for more beer. Â The bartender was really helpful in assisting us with our choices. Â We were pretty indecisive and probably annoying about it but she was nice. Â They had some cask ales on tap at the bar which was cool so we definitely tried those, so good. Â
One underplayed hand at bars.....pretzels. Â They had them. Â And they served them with mustard. Â Perfect with the beers and free which I like that too. Â
And as always, tip well.
This is the coolest brewery in Asheville. Â Compared to the stuff they bottle, the shit they put on the taps is liquid gold. Â Now don't get me wrong, Green Man brews some decent basics: ESB, Porter, etc. Â But if you want to see what GM is REALLY capable of, get your ass to the brewery aka "Dirty Jack's" and sip on everything. Â The Imperial Stormtrooper is amazing as well as the Zero Dank Thirty. Â They mix up the taps quite a bit. Â There's not a ton of seating, so prepare for that, but they have a nice little patio area. Â The crowd here is what makes this place stand out. Â It's a very eclectic mix. Â There's old, young, couples, families, and they're very pet friendly. Â I always run into a lot of dogs here. Â It's a bit out of the way, but well worth the trip to the outskirts of downtown.
