Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant

This place made our night!!!  We were in town staying with a friend in Crystal City and had zero intention of going out after dinner, the plan was to get bottles of Skinnygirl and head back to lounge on the couch.  We were walking and noticed that Freddies seemed rather hopping...well...the couch plan went out the window.  It literally feels like a beach hut in the middle of Crystal City -- kitchy decor and flamboyant colors.  

We entered and found out it was drag bingo night...SCORE.  We snatched up the last open table of 4, got our bingo cards, some cocktails, and off we went for a couple hours of hysterical banter and observation.  The crowd was incredibly diverse and mixed which was nice to see.  The servers were a bit frazzled because it was a full house.  The talent performed intermissions between every few games to keep the crowd alive.  

I loved that there was no cover and we were welcomed with open arms.  This was a Thursday so I would suggest hitting it up if you could!

This is such a fun place! Decked out in purple decor and rainbows with karaoke several times a week! Ray the bartender is phenomenal and for 3 people and tons of drinks and food our bill was only $45! The only negative I have to say is that the spinach dip wasn't so good.  Go with something else.

I love this place! It's an awesome place to come chill with friends during the day. At night, it's a pretty bangin karaoke/ drag bar! My only complaint is that recently the music at night is too low. I could barely hear the people during karaoke and the drag numbers just seem less energetic without the music being all you can hear. I feel it almost ruins the experience.
