Village Bistro

Tried this place for the first time after many recommendations from other friends/family.  First impression from outside; doesn't really seem like much, but when you walk in the decor is actually quite nice.  It wasn't loud at all, music was low but a nice touch.  We went around 7pm Friday night.

Service:  It was a little slow but honestly I didn't care because I was in no rush.  The Manager or owner came over to every table to ask how everything was, if we needed anything.  Definitely makes you feel welcomed.

Drinks: I ordered a glass of chianti, while my girlfriend ordered a sauvignon blanc.  Both very delicious.  The selection is very good as well.

Food: I order the Chicken Parmigiana entree, and split a margarita pizza.  Bread came first at the table and was very fresh italian bread.  A little olive oil, salt, pepper.  Next the pizza came out, it was very very good.  Brick oven style pizza; bread, sauce, cheese were all fantastic.  The price for the pizza was not so fantastic...As for the entree; I must say...This was one of the best chicken parm's I've ever had (I am a bit of a chicken parm snob).  It wasn't overly breaded like others, the sauce again was superb, and the nice block of cheese on it was the "icing on the cake".  It was paired with a nice serving of angel hair pasta, that was very refreshing in itself.  The price for the entree was a little high, but definitely worth it in my opinion!

I would recommend this place to anyone.

The food is great and the price is fair for the portions. Great pasta and seafood dishes. Great place to bring a date.

Food was good. Service was not. Prices were high, 4 people with just entres was over $90
