Bourbon

This place does the job for a whiskey fan except the bartender was drunk/stoned and couldn't remember what we ordered when it came time for the bill.

Avoid this place. The food was mediocre at best and a lot of the menu is grossly overpriced for the quality and quantity of food provided. A nine dollar tomato and mozzarella salad was presented as a measly display of five thinly half sliced tomatoes hashed with small and tasteless pieces of cheese. The burger was dry and flavorless as well. The worst part of all was Bourbon's awful customer service. The waitress put in our drink orders late (three minutes after happy hour ended), and after refusing to give us the two dollars off the TWO drinks we ordered, she sent out the general manager. This guy was one of the most pompous and rude men we have ever encountered in a position of service. After talking down to us for several minutes and scolding us for "coming to the restaurant late," he reluctantly gave us the discount. This dining experience left us with more than enough of a reason not to return and to warn other eaters of the poor quality in both food and staff.

Went here on Fried Chicken Night Thursday during happy hour.  I was a little unsure about going here because I don't drink bourbon and had never been to Glover Park.  From the name, I had visions of those pretentious cigar bars that were popular in the nineties.  Actually, I kind of miss those, so not sure where I am going with that.

Anyway, it turned out to be a really nice spot for food, drink and good times.  The bartenders did really well in covering the space even as it got pretty busy.  Rachel and Heather were really great and personable - my company for the evening ordered something called a "perfect Manhattan" which I tried and thought was really tasty.  Again, not a cocktail drinker, so that's impressive.

We had actually planned to go to another place for dinner, but were having such a great time that we stayed for the chicken.  It was pretty amazing - not just the chicken, but the biscuit and smashed potatoes with gravy were just as delicious.

For additional ambiance, the sound system was piping in a nice combo of British alternative - lotsa The Smiths and The Cure in the mix which was awesome.  I was told that was courtesy of Rachel so another shout out for that!  I will definitely be back.
