Rhodeside Grill

After a hellish metro ride, I sought liquid refuge here. I had to do something to forget. I was served my glass of "I don't care what kind of red wine--just give me a glass" promptly. My cordial bartender even introduced himself and shook my hand. If my knight in shining volvo hadn't arrived to rescue me, I would've stayed for another drink or three.

I've been here many times due to a good friend living nearby. This is her go-to place for a low key neighborhood bar to grab a drink in the evening. Sure, 4Courts is right down the street but if you actually want to meet up with a friend for a beer and be able to hear them or watch the game, this is the place to go. The food is ok - regular bar food. They made a change recently to a more "texas grill" menu and it's not a good change so far.

On a recent visit, the waiter even admitted that the chili mac & cheese wasn't very good. I've also had the chicken bbq wrap, grilled vegetable sandwich, chicken sandwich, tater tots, nothing special and there's typically food left over on our plates when we finish. Like I said.. you don't come here just for the food.

this was an excellent place for brunch! My first time seeing a full bloody mary bar. I was impressed. The service was great and I had a burger grill exactly as I ordered it and my partner had an omelette that he enjoyed. I would go back to Rhodeside Grill.
