If there were a negative 1, I'd give it to them on the scale of lack of cleanliness - this place needs to shut down and clean up! Â Even the manager is sloppy in his appearance. Â Nice guy but looks unkept.
We came for Sunday brunch... and left sick. Â The food is mediocre tasting, NOTHING stood out. Â Thank goodness we didn't do the buffet. Â I had the unpleasant experience of looking into the kitchen on my way to the bathroom... and then I realized I had eaten the food. Â
Bathroom floor was sticky, the floors in general were sticky, my husband and son were grossed out. Â And the service was so poor it was sad. Â The young man tried to muster some friendliness that was fake, and left us abandoned on refills, service, etc. Â Just in general its busy, tables wobble, and the food is not even "ok"... :-( Â I wanted to like it. Â And our order got messed up, but the GM brought us a cup of fruit... that was bland and inedible... :-(
Must go for brunch. Â $14 pitchers, and [at least when I was there] there was way more champagne than orange juice...perfection.
I'm usually not a big buffet person but the $20 options with the crab legs, fried chicken, ribs, and all breakfast items was a steal...AND it was well worth it.
Service was very good, the atmosphere is chill and fun, it's a great neighborhood place for sure.
Great brunch, Love the outdoor patio. That said, I must caution anyone who wants to just chill at a local dive bar. Â While Whitlows has been in Arlington since I was child, the crowd Thurs-Sat has not... There I was, playing pool with my friends on one of their three tables--when drama ensues with people harassing us to hurry up and finish our game. Â I think Whitlow's could do a better job of coordinating their pool tables--and also--if you are looking to play pool, maybe head over to spider kellys which has at least triple the space dedicated to pool. Â Too many people too little space, high drama. Â Love the live music--overall great place on slow nights :)
