got lunch delivery, weekday
For two of us to eat, was $13.65 incl tax, tip, delivery. Â HUGE Portions, food piping hot.
I had the lunch special mongolian beef which came with heaps of chix fried rice, egg roll and pop.  Flavor was good (beef tasted like BEEF, not like a facsimilie as some Chineste placed) and easily had enough left over for dinner.  Egg roll wasn't as good  both in flavor and not crisp like I like it, so that is the reason I rank 4.  Dining companion got chicken lo mein and thought it was tasty too. Â
Will order again!
You can eat there but you can't wash your hands or use the bathroom. Had to use the bathroom at the bar next door. If they have tables and seats the least they can do is have a small sink to wash your hands. What kind of crap is that. Food was OK. Just another average hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. I wont be returning.
Review Source:Not happy at all with my food and I so wnted it to just be decent since I live next to this place.
I chose noodles instead of rice and they were the exact same thing that comes out of a top ramen package.
The Orange chicken was terrible as well.
The two stars is because there service was ok otherwise it would be one star
Ever since my beloved, aka Lin's Garden on Milwaukee abruptly closed it's doors a year or so ago, I have been SEARCHING for a local Chinese place. And when I say searching, I mean asking anyone with a take-out box where the hell they got it from and threatening them if they don't reveal the source.
So, I went on yelp.....and the rest is history.
This place, nor any Chinese place will top Lin's, but it's neck-in-neck. They not only have a ton of vegetarian options, they give you the option of no MSG, they cook everything to order...the list goes on.
I normally have a feeding frenzy when I eat Chinese and this place is another reason why that will continue.
Everything is great, have yet to have a so-so dish here. Big portions supplemented by big flava!
Love it!
one of the better of the americanized chinese joints.
quick, inexpensively delivery by way of a friendly member of the trans-gender community (seriously) and without fail comes *PIPING* hot. Â to the point that you cannot handle the aluminum portion of the packaging for a few moments.
for the best price, try to dine before 3pm. Â their lunch menu bolsters an entree, fried rice (see that coming?) can of soda, egg roll, soup and a small desert (usually a type of packaged jello) for just under $6.
if i can tender a complaint, it would be a relative lack of true variety of flavor. Â most entrees taste remarkably similar. please note this something i hold against most of the americanized chinese restaurants. so please FRE, dont be afraid to make some things truly spicy! us yanks can take it!
Maybe I'm missing something but I absolutely adore this place. I come here all the time. Their vegetable egg fried rice is awesome and we always pair it with their Mongolian chicken or beef. Their basil beef is awesome too. They package everything nicely for take-home and were at some point setting up an online order and delivery service. I've never been treated rudely by the people and they always remember my usual order. The only downfall of this place is that it isn't very good for dining-in.
Review Source:I was not thrilled with my first couple of visits to this place because I found their attitude to be on the rude side. Â Upon the urging of a couple neighbors of mine, I decided to give them another chance. Â I don't know if they have new management but they still are not the most charming or lovable people in the world, but for placing an order to go, it is worth stopping in for the good deals that you get and the food has improved since my last visit. Â The shrimp fried rice was very good. Â However there is no ambience or charm, it is very plain on the inside and this is a mostly 'to go' kind of place.
