The Boy and I are coming here tonight. :-)  I really like this pub. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is really tasty and priced well. For example the Lillian  wedge salad is only $5 and huge. The Boy really likes the fish and chips here too.  Love the decor inside and can't wait until winter so we can check out the fire pit / outdoor patio.  Garman's is definitely a welcome addition to the area and a nice alternative from having to take your life into your own hands and go to Kaleido-stink.

This place is horrible!  I wanted to try it but I will never return.  The place itself is has a pretty cool atmosphere.  I love the layout and decor.  The staff was ok but could be much better.  I told the waitress I just wanted to get some chicken strips and fries.  Since the only item like that on the menu is a kid's meal I asked her if I could order that.  She said I could but that it only comes with like three strips so she suggested I order a BLT as well.  I ordered the kid's meal and the BLT.  When she brought both plates out they were huge!  I barely finished the kid's meal and had to take the BLT back to work.  The chicken strips were horrible.  I have never tasted bad chicken strips until then.  The fries were not impressive and when I asked her for some honey mustard she brought me the mustard from the kitchen!  I would much rather have her tell me they were out of honey mustard.  By the way, a BLT is my favorite sandwhich and this BLT looked very gross.  I didn't eat it, I put it in the kitchen and a hungry co-worker ate it.  Sorry but never going back again until you get new cooks.....

We were greeted right away by the hostess Kailee. Super friendly.  We decided to sit at the bar to watch the games. Holly was a very attentive bartender.  Drinks are well priced and delicious. Food was even better. Best corned beef tacos in the OC. I highly recommend this place!!

Never going back there...service was awful and food was just ok. Huge disappointment for us..we were looking for a good Irish pub to go to. If they had better wait-staff, it would have been a lot better. Sat us at a table then moved us.. Took forever just to get water, then even longer for our order to be taken. Food came out later and the waitress didn't put in one of the orders..then it came out wrong. She comp us for the wrong item which was cool but then again it was her fault. Wish I could say it was worth it but we won't be back.

Have been to Garman's Pub several times and we just keep coming back. Great spot to chill with friends and have a beer they even have Jameson on tap and my favorite the chilled Patron Silver with no ice chunks... The owner is on point and very attentive, the décor is welcoming the bar area is awesome with all the flat screen TV's for watching games and they even have games to keep the kiddos entertained. Oh and be sure to try the Onion rings defiantly a Fav for me!  Also if you are in need of a great patio area for a celebration check out this spot, we had my brothers 40th out there and everything was really perfect it is a great space for a fun time..

I am going to say this place is versatile like a Swiss Army knife.  Go on a Sunday with friends to watch football as they have ample high-def tv's, go with family on a Friday night because they have a wide menu plus video games for kids, go with friends to party because they have decent music and a patio.  The best part is GO because the food is decent, service is good, and the prices are fair for South Orange County.  I thought the Irish stew was one of the best I have tasted, the salads are fresh and tasty with what tastes like homemade dressing, and the sliders were decent.  My only critique was the pastrami was unedible because it tasted like it was injected with 12 ounces of saline.  It was sooooo salty.  I hope they figure that out because I loves me some pastrami!!!

This place has potential! However it does need improvement. Like a previous yelper, they do not always have everything on the menu!

The food is just OK, but I will say that the stuffed mushrooms are great!

About 15 of us showed up after 9 p.m.  We had really good service, if there was an error it was fixed in spades.

I had steak and blue cheese.  OMG yum.  If you like thick cut onion rings these are to die for.  The fish and chips were great.

The beer menu is broad and very inexpensive.  If you have a gang or a date, this is a great recommendation

First time there today as I was taken there for my birthday lunch.  Impressed with the darkish wood tones inside; not so impressed with our server but she did not deter me from enjoying myself.  The corned beef tacos are so good! They are "appetizer" size which is ideal as you get about 6 small ones. I could not even finish them all.  I would go back to try their soups as my friend had the tomato bisque and really enjoyed it. I  have to say, though, for "service" they could use some improvement. Our server brought out our appetizers and then almost immediately our lunch followed.  She was not "engaged" at all in our first time experience and did not seem to care whether we were there or not. Plus she never identified herself to us - no "hello, my name is....and I'll be your server."  No other managers around the place to welcome guests. I believe this place can be successful but to me, it really needs to have more "hands-on" management and welcoming of guests to make them want to come back. I will be back for "after hours" when I can sip some of their many choices of beers on tap & Jamesons.  It was a good "food" experience but the service was "just okay."  But I will certainly give them another try. Good luck!

The staff was friendly and attentive.  The place is roomy, with a bar, indoor dining area and a decent sized patio.  Good for watching sports.  Beers come in very large sizes if you want.  I've only had the corned beef tacos there as I've been a FANATIC for them for 10 years or so.  Patsy's are MUCH better.  The corned beef here was oddly chewy like eating jerky.  Also, the pieces of corned beef were not chopped right for a taco - - much too large and long to get a clean bite.  The flavor was decent but the chew factor meant you had to gnaw off each bite, which with a taco means a lot of mess.  I hopefully can update this review when I've had a chance to try other menu items.  All this being said, I think they need time to hit their stride.

Wow!  What a surprise... I expected a dumpy little dive and found a fantastic Irish sports bar with incredible food!  The best part is the price of a beer!!!  $3.50 to $4.00 and that is for a big one.  I have had the French Dip which I am certain is the best I have ever had along with the kids grilled cheese (it was late night and I was splurging) and fries.  GREAT deal again - $3.95 and they did not care I was in my mid-30's!  They also have Tator Tots... YES Tator Tots!!  Delicious!  My friends have tried the sliders and the tacos and loved them both.  So far I have not heard a negative thing about this place from anyone I have met.  Plus, let's be honest... lots of great TV's which is perfect for game day.  I worry this place will be packed when football season rolls around.  The owners are super nice.  Ryan (one owner) gives me money to play the juke box as if we've been friends our entire life... it's nice to feel at home when you just meet someone.  I also love Kate who waitresses there and the slightly bigger and a little more mature bartender (I don't know his name YET) but he is great!  Enjoy everyone!!

My husband, daughter and I had a great meal at Garman's.  I had the fish & chips which were very yummy.  My husband really enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage.    My daughter is a vegetarian so she had a salad.  We thought the prices were very reasonable.  Everyone was very nice and friendly.  We'll definitely come back again.

Ok.  Desperately wanted to like this place.  Brand new, tough market, etc.  Walked in and it immediately looked like it used to be a Mexican food place.   Sat down, menus were nice, ok ambiance.  Thought we would be safe ordering Irish food.   Corned beef should be ok, right?   Hard as a rock.  Couldn't even get a knife through it.   Waitress got a drink order wrong (rum and coke vs. jack and diet???) The topper was that the people we went with had actually been there, earlier in the day.   They saw the fish and chips (chips meaning fries) and wanted to order after seeing someone else order.  The fish and chips actually came with potato chips, strangely- when ordered tonight.

The only thing that saved this place was the sandwich my boyfriend got (substitute for the corned beef) and the extremely kind waitress.   I have to say we won't be coming back.   No attention to detail and no manager even came by.   Just sucks- I know this is a new place in the 'hood that totally failed with our first impression.....

Checked this place out for the first time last night since it opened a few weeks ago. We got there around midnight (on a Saturday) and I was surprised to find that except for one other small group, we were the only people there. The place is super clean and I really like the look.  An cool Irish pub doesn't have to be a dive bar filled with douche bags.  The bartender was friendly, stumbled with my gin gimlet a bit, but the drink came out fine (a bit too much simple syrup).  They also had table tents with house cocktails listed (my friend pointed out that they were all named for Angel's baseball players).  They have a bunch of TVs, a couple old school arcade games which are pretty cool (Buck Hunter and an awesome NeoGeo system).  I'm not sure if there is a happy hour and I haven't tried the food, but hopefully I can indulge in both sooner rather than later.  The place is a bit farther from my house than a few other bars, but if this place starts drawing a good late night crowd, I would definitely start making the trip.  Maybe they'll get some cool attention holders like karaoke, drink specials, daily specials, or w/e to draw business to its hidden location.

Went 6 days after the opening. Food was pleasantly good and way affordable. Decent amount of bar space. Doesn't feel like an Irish pub, rather a sports bar with an Irish name. Way too many tv's with sports and rock music in the background. Staff is tired and un-motivated. Missing some key beers and lack knowledge of whats actually available. Only a few menu items available to actually order. We attended the St. Patty's day crowd and was very disappointed in the service level and again, only 2 menu items to choose from and the portions of the tacos were nothing like our first visit.

Someone will have to make a good case for me to go back.

They did this place right! Nice open layout, plenty of bar top and a nice patio. Haven't tried the food yet but looks promising. Drink selection is 100%. Environment is friendly and fun.

Too bad the overstaffed bar is too busy doing shots with their regulars to notice that people around then need service.....

Having traveled through Ireland extensively, I had high hopes for finding something other than beer placards and an Irish name. I know saying you cant polish a turd is unfair, as there seemed to be plenty of polish. What was grossly lacking was professionalism. I would love to be posting a review of how great the food and service    was, but the absence of service was the rule as we watched the staff walk by to serve and drink with their friends/family, completely ignoring anyone else. A couple of times is fun, dozens of times is ridiculous. When theres no host, server or even anything resembling management around to even ask for a menu (much less trying to actually order food) you have to wonder what all those people are doing.  In fairness, the busboy was really flying and there were servers TCB, just nowhere near us. Ultimately, we left, never to return. We went where we were taken care of and had a nice night. Too bad TJ Willies is no longer at this location. They knew how to do it.

One star only because Yelp won't let me cut it in half. What a shame that a few made the good employees look so bad.

Waited for this neighborhood pub to open for weeks. Not at all disappointed, Trey and his staf are friendly and professional. The menu is killer and lots of good beers on tap. Nice little patio is going to be a relaxing spot come summer. Chuck and Mike behind the bar are engaging and friendly. Don't let Trey know that the beer prices are the lowest around. Great value, I'll be back soon.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!  Just found our new neighborhood bar again.  Great place, super friendly, food is awesome, and just a great vibe here.  Used to go to TJ willie's that was located in the same space and this is a real tribute to the old place.  Good people, good times.  Can't wait for St. Patty's day here :)

Being Irish I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to Irish fare and pubs---this place does not disappoint. Great food (wings) and cold beer. Also---nice vibe---not as stuffy per-se as some other places. Good place to unwind!!!!!

    Enjoy and Cheers

I am from Massachusetts so Irish pubs are dear to my heart, this place gets it..Ecclectic kind of a pub/sports/cheers bar all rolled into one.  The atmosphere is upbeat cool and the drinks are amazing, Jameson on tap Really??? Tons of room to watch your favorite game, the owners and staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are happy, they just opened so the full menu is not out yet but my friend had the stew and he said it was phenomenal and I had the wings and they were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Healthy drink pours and inexpensive prices. I highly recommend this place

We found a charm in Mission Viejo! We were surprised to see how classy this place is and a big bar with great beers. A definite new favorite for us! Just opened, will definitely be here on St Pattys day!
