I have nothing new to add. The mismatched furniture and drink glasses and crowd all make me feel at home. I will say this place is MUCH smaller than I realized! (And that's not a bad thing, I just didn't realize!) Considering what an old favorite this is for most Dallas-ites and how well-frequented it is, I have no idea where they fit all the people. (Especially when it's too damn hot for the patio.) But hey, whatever.
When I walk in and "Blue Savannah Song" starts playing and you hand me a stiff screwdriver for $2.50, you may have a hard time getting rid of me.
I just love the hell out of this place. The bar is loud but they show baseball on the TV. I took out my laptop to check something at one point and even though the bartender was really busy, he shouted over to me to ask if I needed to wifi password, and then again to offer me wireless printing if I needed it. He didn't need to do that but the service here is very friendly and pleasant.
Outside's a great place to relax when it's not too hot or humid. I've been here many times and there's always excited chatter from all the tables outside. Not been up on the roof yet but that looks cool too.
An awesome neighborhood bar that I spend probably too much time in...
I had bookmarked bar this due to the great review. I checked it out one Sunday evening with a friend. Came in and started hearing Madonna's Holiday playing on the jukebox. Good vibe so far!! This song makes me want to break out and do a little dance....make a little love..get...oh sorry....back to my review.
Anyways, we ordered a couple of Crown and coke and the drinks were stiff and cheap!! Nice combo. After the second drink, I was properly faded. The outside bar has a basketball court and a bunch of round tables. There is also a "patio" spot upstairs as well with about 3-4 small tables set up.
On that day, it appears to be predominately gay crowd. But the crowd may be more diverse on other days. It's a good time either way. I will definitely be back for the cheap drinks and soak in the fun and laid-back atmosphere.
CROWDED AS HELL!
An eclectic mix of crazy strangers, even more random than their drinking glasses with a basketball court, lazily lit by naked bulbs, christmas lights and the best Bellini I've ever tasted. LOUD music in the bar, enjoyable talking on the patio, delightfully mixed crowd and drinks, the only thing against it is there's no room for dancing, but you'll be having way too much fun to even notice.
We've all encountered it at one time or another. Â The place that makes the 5 Star Rating inadequate. Â Maybe great food, great service, a unique combination of the two. Â In any case, 5 Stars just doesn't seem to be enough. Â It seems right to include some sort of multiplier.
The Grapevine Bar is my 5 Star Review buster. Â Either I have to go back to all of my other reviews and adjust them down or else figure out how to convey the idea that this place truly stands out by itself.
I'm lazy, let me try the second method. Â
First off, Yelp has this place in about 40 different categories. Â Dive Bar. Â Music Venue. Â Gay Bar. Â Seafood Restaurant. Â Gas Station. Â Health Club. Â Dance Club. Â Karaoke Bar. And a few that I'm sure I've missed. Â Now for the big reveal. Â It is all of those things.
And much much more.
I came for the Karaoke (recommended by a bartender at the stop before the Grapevine). Â There wasn't any Karaoke going on, nor any evidence that any ever has. Â And that was probably a good thing judging from the crowd. Â Being a stranger in a strange land, I made my way to what I figured to be the back of the bar....and was greeted by a doorway leading outside...and eventually to a basketball court! Â Yes. Â A real live regulation height glass backboard basketball court (half court to be precise). Â How cool is that? Â I sat in the corner for all of 2.7 seconds before one of what I figured to be a local sat down and struck up a conversation. Â As it turns out, he was from out of town as well. Â No matter, we explored the place together. Â
I'll spare you the minute by minute details of the next few hours. Â Suffice it to say that it was non-stop conversation and laughter. Â And remember, I walked into this place by myself, not knowing a soul in the entire of Dallas. Â Looking for non-existent Karaoke. Â At one point, I was in a conversation with a very tall white basketball player with a German name.
Yea, I'll be back. Â Count on it.
WOOHOO! What a fun, eclectic, and totally laid back bar. I don't get out to Dallas a ton, but when I do, I want to spend my time at places like The Grapevine. There's not a shred of hoity-toity-ness at this bar in Oak Lawn; just friendly faces, awesome music, and plenty of drinks for everyone. Inside, they have pool tables, mismatched furniture, extravagant couches, an incredible jukebox that lets you choose from 160,000 songs, and TV's all about. Outside is even better.... ping pong, a small basketball court, a big screen for sports watching, Christmas lights in the trees, an outdoor bar, and a ton of picnic tables to sit around with your buddies. I think it would be impossible to get bored at The Grapevine. Even if you come alone, you'll make friends quickly. It's a small space with an interactive atmosphere that will encourage you to mingle!
Besides all those bells and whistles, The Grapevine has amazing drink specials every single day. Every. Single. Day. They do Happy Hour on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday ALL DAY long, and the rest of the week it lasts until 7pm. Everything is $2.50 - $3.50... that's a lot of happy hours to enjoy. This is a dive bar, so don't expect a huge list of craft beer to choose from. You'll still have plenty of options, and you might want to try one of their frozen drink specialties! How about the Tangarita? I wish I'd tried it, it sounds so fruitfully festive. There's always next time..
Love this dive bar and the drink specials! The frozen pom pom is my favorite! I like to go here when I don't feel like getting all dressed up and going to uptown. Â It is a great chill alternative to relax and hang out with friends. Â Plenty of people watching will keep you entertained!
Review Source:The Grapevine Bar gets four stars for their frozen drinks, if not for the fun backdoor patio great for soaking up some rays as you soak up some liquor.
I recommend the Bellini, if you like peach. The targarita is as quirky as it sounds, tasting like an adult, frozen Sunny D, and they have great things on draft.
Awesome dive bar! Strong drinks, crazy decor, eclectic vibe and very fun people-watching. The truth is, in DFW, it is an absolute treat to visit a bar which is not a chain and not pretentious. This is as laid back as it gets. Servers are friendly, drinks, again delish and a great outdoor area. Â I recommend a visit for sure!
Review Source:What a  fun place to grab a stiff drink any day of the week and especially all day happy hour. The drink specials are a steal for you and your WP.  The crowd is diverse and I love the laid back attitude of the place.  It has that great dive bar feel that simply serves up great drinks at a solid price.  I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking so it's always great for me to stay away from shots.  The night can go from zero to sixty in no time.  I'm glad this bar doesn't need that at all.  I just want to enjoy the great drinks at a nominal price.  The parking lot is a little wild so be careful.  Ladies if your wearing stripper heels have that man drop you in the front so you can order drinks.  I think I want to play some basketball next time and drink on the roof.
Review Source:The previous reviews weren't joking. Â This place is AWESOME!
I decided to stop by for a drink during happy hour before going to dinner. Â My friend and I walked in and were transported from Cedar Springs and Maple to one of the best dive bars I've been to, period. Â We were promptly greeted by the barkeep. Â He asked if it was my first time and I said yes. Â He responded that the first round of drinks was on the house! Â SCORE! Â We got out drinks and walked out to the patio that was outfitted with a basketball hoop. Â I really can't explain it. Â There are so many different things going on in this one small location, but it all works. Â You have your trend hipsters standing around drinking beers, Â you'll get your business men having glass of whiskey, you'll have your ladies enjoying a girls night and having mixed drinks, and you'll get random people like me who just stumble through only to realize that this may very well have to become a frequent hangout spot. Â All the people who I met that night were friendly and open.
GVB is a great place to come and relax, to have a drink, to work on your social skills ;), and ultimately to be in a venue that even if you're visting for the first time, you'll feel part of the club.
The GV and I are still in a very serious relationship after all these years. Â It's always hard for me to pick a favorite of anything, because I love all things for different reasons. Â But if you put a gun to my head and told me I had to pick just one favorite bar, it would definitely be the Grapevine. Â I have never had a bad time here, and the some of the regulars have become my friends over the years. Â Happy hour is my favorite time to roll in, especially when Jon or Kevin is working (balls to Gail for moving away!). Â The GV serves food next door too, but I have yet to order anything. Â I think I'm just so used to the GV not having food and I never think about eating there.
In summary: Â Cheap drinks. Â Diverse crowd. Â Huge patio/roof top patio. Â Great bartenders. Â Best bar in town!
How fitting is it that my 100th review pays homage to one of the most beloved dives in the D? Who says you can't have it all in a local little bar? Super cheap drinks? No problem. Interesting, diverse crowd? They've got you covered. Entertainment? Not only is there a pool table, there's a freakin' outdoor basketball court! How do you like them apples?
This is exactly what a neighborhood bar should be. It's very discreet despite its central Oak Lawn location. Sure it gets packed, but somehow it maintains an incredibly welcoming, relaxed feel. Everyone is just there to have a few drinks without spending an arm and a leg, and the casual vibe is such a welcome change from the typical Dallas scene. If you really want to impress an out-of-towner on how Dallas gets it done, this is a great place to start.
How many arguments about whose turn it was to be designated driver did Drew & I have when we first moved to D?
None. Zeeero...because we were renting at the Seville, and could saunter over and stumble home whenever we wanted, alone, or together!
Reliably cheap liquor with plenty of ice, regular basketball court entertainment, Â and the occasional impromptu gender-spectrum lap dance at the next table make it all the more missed, now that we have to drive here.
I LOVE this place! Â It was the first bar that I went to when I turned 21, and I've been coming back ever since! Â There is a GREAT group of people here. Â I love the little sitting area inside with the mismatched couches and chairs and vintage hanging lamps. Â I love the outside patio and the fact that there is a basketball hoop. Â They have great drink specials and a good jukebox! Â I love their free little bbq's for holidays. They started serving food regularly now. Â It's available for order right behind the basketball court. Â Also THANK YOU for adding restrooms outside! Â That line on the inside used to get really crowded. :)
In my opinion, this is the best bar in Dallas. Â It's a wonderful place to hang with friends, meet new friends, and people watch. Â The crowd is a good mixture of people and everyone is very chill and accepting. Â I also have a secret crush on the bartender with the beard. Â I"m not sure if he's the owner, but I've seen him there for YEARS! Â He is always so friendly and nice. Â This is trully a great place to drink. :) Â I'll miss this place the MOST when I move at the end of the month.. LOVE YOU GRAPEVINE! xoxoxoxoxo
I love fun dive bars!
This is definitely added to one of my favorite bar places to go.
cute little indoor bar area, side area with pool table, big outside bar and outside seating area, plus basketball goal.
Everyone that worked there was super cool and nice.
Totally great chill atmosphere.
I love this place. Even when it is busy it, it still doesn't feel crowded. Everyone is friendly there and the drinks are relatively inexpensive. (I like the frozen drinks)
This is the type of dive bar to go to if you want to relax and catch up with old friends. It's one of those places you walk into and you are bound to run into somebody that you know. And I am sure, if I was there every weekend.. it would be that bar where every body knows your name..
Well, the night we were bar hopping, we happened upon this tiny building that said the Grapevine on it. And we proceeded to drink and have fun!
It's dark, it's "cozy," it's a dive bar. The deck area is awesome if you can fit in (it was a tad busy). It's probably one of the most unique bars we've been to in a while. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but you'll have to come try it out for yourself! Just don't miss it... it's a little red building with a neon sign... that's it. Nothing flashy, no crazy signs, no stupid people outside. Just people having fun. I suppose it's the way a bar was meant to be? But I wasn't around when bars were first discovered, so... there's that.
Anywho, Sun-Tues happy hours until close (which is AWESOME!), other drink specials, and just an all around fun environment.
Oh, and they have a freaking basketball court. So if NOTHING else gets you to come here, then come play basketball... at a bar... ok?

Wait... An unassuming, unpretentious bar in the Dallas Oak Lawn/Uptown area? Yep, that's the Grapevine!
Wonderful staff, affordable drinks, fun crowd, and great patios space outside. There's even an upstairs deck with a friendly reminder that "we buy ugly houses."
They're famous for their bellinis, unisex 2-stall bathroom, and the basketball court out back... Warning, don't sit back there unless you're prepared to play a little dodgeball while drinking... You've been warned.
I usually walk here, but there is a small parking lot that holds ~10 cars and is guaranteed to scrape the bottom of your car if you pull in unless you're in an SUV. Stick to street parking if you drive (and don't drink and drive, pls!)
Fair warning, this bar caters primarily (but not exclusively) to gay folks, so if that is a problem, you might want to avoid it.
Saturday afternoon.
Looking for somewhere to hang out and drink.
She says, "How about the Grapevine? Â It's nearby...oh, but it's a gay bar. Â Is that OK?" Â I shrug and say "Sure." Â I have exactly one other data point of going to a gay bar in Ohio because co-workers were desperate to see a drag show. Â I think women have some fascination with seeing how a straight guy reacts in a gay bar.
Well, fellow straight men, you can relax. Â It was very chill and relaxed. Â The other customers there were very polite, nice, and friendly, but that is all. Â Sorry to anyone expecting some bizarre tale. Â Basically, yes it caters to the gay community, but they are not exclusive, nor do they create an environment hostile to straight folks, at least that was my experience.
Our group grew from two to four to six, to an even dozen as the day wore on. Â A very friendly, chummy environment.
It's a crowded, divey place, but it has a good vibe to it. Â There is a small patio up on the roof, where we pretty much spent a good five hours or so. Â The drinks I bought were affordable and reasonably potent, i.e., not unusually weak or strong. Â That said, I was getting Gin & Tonic, and if you screw that up, you should be bludgeoned into unconsciousness with a bottle of Tanqueray.
On that particular day, they were serving up free burgers, hot dogs, and crawfish, so it was probably more crowded than usual, but the bartenders were kicking ass. Â The longest it took me to get service was probably 2 minutes.
NOTE: they were only taking cash that day (I guess because of the crowds summoned by free food), which was not a problem for me, but I know some of my fellow Yelpers may live by plastic. Â They do have ATMs, though.
The bathrooms are sort of divey in their own way and a line can form since there are exactly two bathrooms, each with a single toilet. Â But, I can't in good conscience ding a dive bar on its bathrooms. Â That said, they were reasonably clean and intact, given the crowds and venue.
Clearly, if you are hetero, and you're goal is a date, then you probably want to bring your date, as you will likely have slim pickings here*. Â If you just want to hang out, then it's a great choice.
* - and yet, we ended up chatting with a straight couple that met there, so ya never know! :-D
Dive bar? Yes. So dark inside you can't see the floor? Yes, but probably for the best. A wonderful patio with the most fun people you will ever meet. You bet your sweet little tushy. There is no bar in the Dallas bar scene that can even come close in comparison to The Grapevine Bar. Not to say it's better than any bar or every other bar doesn't pale in comparison. It's just The Grapevine. In short, There's Something About The Grapevine.
I small structure that marks the corner of Maple and Shelby Avenue can almost be overlooked if haven't had the best time of your life there before. Almost appearing out of place, the small red building that resembles an red dirt house one would find in the New Mexico landscape, only has a somewhat discreet neon sign to lure you in. If that doesn't lead you in - the sound of endless fun chatter, people singing along to the great 'bar' music, and hysterical stories being told will have you jumping over the fence.
On a beautiful Spring day like today, the place is packed by 3:00 PM, so snag a table early and let the foolishness unfold. The basketball court becomes an arena of mingling and memory making. The absurdly, awesomely priced frozzen Bellinis, Pom Poms, and Tangaritas help with the fun, too!
As others have mentioned in their reviews, the peach everclear bellini's are FANTABULOUS, but that's the not the only reason to go here. Â The Grapevine bar is one of the most unique dive bars in Dallas. Â The atmosphere inside is dark yet inviting and the clientele is one of the best. Â You're not stuck with just one type of crowd or clique in this place. Â People from all walks of life can be found here...gay to straight and the daytime bartender, Jon Bryan, is one of the best around.
The seating inside is very cozy and comfy...though inside seating is limited, there is plenty of seating out back in the patio area and on top of the building.
Check it out if you're ever in the neighborhood...you won't regret it.
The peach everclear bellini's are SO yummy. Â We go here specifically for them! Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays are happy hour all day. Â The bellini goes for $3.00 during happy hour. Â These are the kind of drinks where you don't even realize what you're getting yourself into.
Great vibe to this place. Â It's got some different seating areas. Â There's cozy chairs in different colors and patterns. There's a pool table in one room. Â Out back they have a basketball hoop and just recently they've added a ping pong table. Â There's a juke box. Â
We always have great conversations with all different kinds of people when we go. It's a great place to relax and have drinks with no "hoighty toighty" - ness attached.
Katie took me to Grapevine Bar for my birthday extravaganza before she headed off to stupid Turkey for a year. Â We had an awesome time! Â We drank awesome shooters and listened to awesome music and then just sat around and soaked up each others awesomeness. Â (Yes, Mean Grils was on this weekend.)
If I were going to give birth to a bar--this would be it. Â The lights are funky! Â The chairs are comfy! Â The drinks are strong and tasty! Â The folks are a lot of fun. Â People we'd never met before asked us to join their birthday party, and yes, there was cake. Â The staff takes care of my every need. Â And the drink specials are priced to sell.
And as if that's not enough the place has a super cute patio. Â In Dallas, we have a lot of days that will place you on a patio, not so much July and August but I've been known to enjoy some 70 degree weather on a patio in July. Â This July specifically.
this place is as amazing as all the reviews make it sound....
I love the un-Dallas - non- pretentious atmosphere that lives here --
It reminded me of little 5 points in atlanta... Â and the only reason i remembered i was even remotely close to the oh so polished area of uptown dallas was the amazing up close view of the skyline from the fun rooftop patio --
perfect for sunsets or sun in general ...
this place has music from the jukebox -- so any and everything ..
and that explains the crowd too -- everyone and anyone -- very diverse in age as well.
a favorite local hangout of many
-- loved edgy grunge decor - the large backyard patio -
2 bars, one small indoor, one large outdoor...
you can even order food, from a quaint shack behind the basketball court -
yes -- basketball court... Â (half court if you will) Â - we had the chicken tenders with the infamous bug sauce! Â -- yummmm
- have i mentioned the ridiculously cheap drink prices for happy hour! Â oh ehmm gee!
I've fallen in love with this place
the bartenders are super cool.. -- there was always a quick moving line and efficient service...
- can i say it again?? Â woohooo! Â as good as it gets!
Ahhhh the Grapevine. Â Many evenings at the Lawn began here, and many Sunday Fun Days have apparently ended here. :-) Â Wow, I want to kick myself in the butt because I never knew about their bellinis until reading the reviews here on Yelp! Â All I can say is, I drank many a stiff drink here, at a reasonable price, with awesome company.
Don't know what else I can say that hasn't been said before. Â It is true, leave your attitude at the door, as this is so not the place to "post up" Â with pretentions. Â It is a crowd of mainly gay and straight folks. Â I have always met new people here, always had a good time. Â You'll see people come in casual clothes and play basketball, or you'll even see the cute club chicks all donned in their stilletos ready to hit up Uptown. Â It's just a free for all here, really.
I've lounged inside for hours during hot Summer days, and I always wake up the next day wondering how the hell I got home that night!
Good times, good times...

I almost smacked myself straight in the face when I realized I hadn't reviewed the Grapevine. I literally tell everyone I know about this place. WTF, self? Word of mouth all over the place and no Yelp-o-riffic love? Tsk tsk.
This place is a little bittersweet for me because it used to be me and my BFF's spot for happy hour after an excruciating workday. Or a celebration spot for a great workday. Or a "we're bored, let's go to the Grapevine" kind of day. Needless to say, we went there a lot. Sadly, he up and left me to move to stupid California and I was left here with my favorite after-work spot and no after-work BFF to share it with *sigh*.
Fortunately my personal problems have no effect on the fabulousness of this place! The drinks are super stiff--I would go out on a limb and say nearly as stiff as the Loon. And that's saying something. I would recommend getting liquor or frozen drinks...they have beer, but this just isn't really a beer and wine kinda place.
I think out of the billion times I've been here we've sat inside once or twice, and that's only because it was raining. The patio is adorable, they have twinkle lights everywhere and a bunch of fab-tastic singalong tunes coming from the jukebox.
The bartenders ROCK. The happy hour special is $2 EVERYTHING (i think martinis might be $3) until 7pm, every day of the week. On Monday/Tues, it only goes up to $3 after.
I would keep going but if I keep gushing about how great it is you'll go there and I won't be able to find a seat. So I'm going to shut my mouth and only reopen it for a delicious everclear Bellini.
If you, like me, are a hetero gentlemen, check your motives and have a clear understanding of what you are about get into prior to entering this establishment. Â I did not.
I experienced this place on a Saturday evening meeting a date... a female date. Â Unfamiliar with this area in general, I located this bar and began my parking procedure.
- Parking: Â Free, but generally full this Sat. evening. Â Expect to either shark through the lot for 8-12 min. for a space, or try your luck on the curbside(s) as close as possible where permitted (tow signs, etc.) Â The bar's parking lot is comprised of rocky dirt with many potholes about 1-2 feet deep and 3-4 feet in diameter. Â However, there was an attendant in the lot who appeared to be keeping an eye on the Patron's vehicles parked. Â If there are alternatives to these, I am unaware.
- Drinks: Â I recall paying about $5 for Heineken w/ bar-tip. Â All other drinks appeared to be priced appropriate to the area. Â I am unaware of any specials this place may/ may not have. Â I experienced longer and rather uncomfortable waiting to buy drinks. Â Uncomfortable as in being constantly bumped into by people passing and physically clumped between/ against others in waiting in line.
- Restrooms: Â Are a sick joke. Â I located 2 restrooms in the front and 3 Port-O-Potties outside. Â The 2 restrooms inside are located directly beside the entrance (left facing the front.) Â The lines to use the facilities stretched across the room intersecting with people entering the bar. Â With Stubbs BBQ as the only exception, never in my life have I been to bar where patrons may have to resort to using porto-potties outside the establishment.
- Layout/ Seating: Â I found 2 operating Bars located in the front and back of the bar. Â The various rooms throughout the bar are clumsily structured and retarded in layout that creates/ inhibits traffic-flow rather than accommodate it.
- Staff: Â Indeed hard working and friendly, but it isn't enough.
I have absolutely nothing against the gay community in Dallas, or anywhere. Â
However, when you have a brash little queen who is constantly interrupting you, screaming things at you, playing with your shirt (yes, really) and splashing his drink on you, things can certainly take a turn for the worse. Â I am thankful that my date stepped in and served as my "Brooke Shield" against this particular individual, otherwise I would have an assault charge.
In short, this bar owes it to their patrons to flatten their parking lot, provide decent restroom facilities and offer seating that does not bear resemblance to a crack den. Â Until then, I think it's best that this bar and I keep our distance.
Three things are always certain when I visit the Grapevine:
1. Â I will run into someone I know.
2. Â Someone I don't know will strike up a funny conversation with me while I'm waiting at the bar for a drink.
3. Â A gay man I've never met will spontaneously tell me I am gorgeous.
Hooray! Â The Grapevine provides for fellowship, interesting conversations, and inflating my ego! Â I love this place. Â I think I have more fond memories of the Grapevine than any other establishment.
The patio is the place to be. Â You can chill in the semi-covered area, on the basketball court, or on the rooftop deck with a great view of downtown.
Everyone who works at the Grapevine kicks ass! Â I have been coming here for eight years, and most of the people who currently work there have been there as long as I can remember. Â That is a sign of a good employer. Â They seem to have a good time at work together; I even randomly saw them out together last week at the State Fair.
Great drink specials, great jukebox, great fun, even a Playstation (or something like that) await you at the Grapevine. Â Just don't wait til the last minute to decide to go potty. Â There is ALWAYS a line in the restroom. Â Luckily, because of all the toilet paper racks, they are never out of TP. Â Yay for not making the ladies drip dry!
Oh, Grapevine, you've changed my mind. Last time I visited (2 years ago??) I had 2 too many of those everclear Bellini's and thought going into the bathroom with someone else was a good idea. The sign on the outside of the door clearly states "ONE AT A TIME", but I wasn't into reading at that time of night. So I got "told" a little for that and haven't had the chance to go back, still 50/50 about the place.
I was there last week and I had really forgot how cool the vibe is. There is such a variety of people, the bar staff is really cool, lots of cool places to sit (inside, outside, in the bar, at the bar, in the pool room) and you can even play basketball out back. I'm puttin' Grapevine back on rotation.
Oh, and the everclear Bellini's ($2 for a small) are STILL good and STILL strong. Makes ya wanna get up and shake yo rump! AND the Juke Box is the bomb diggity.
When I first walked into The Grapevine I loved that it was a cozy little bar. And then I checked out the back patio and WOW this place is huge! Â
Lots of space , a roof top deck, and even a basketball hoop! What else do you need? Well, according to other yelpers...a bellini made with everclear (sounds dangerously good!) I skipped the bellini this time because it was 4 PM in the afternoon and I wanted to be able to stay awake past 5, but next time for sure.
Also rumor has it (straight from the mouth of the very sweet owner Michelle) that they will be serving food in the near future!
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that like musicals and those that don't. If you are coo-coo for some singing, come here. It's like a karaoke choir of spontaneity.
I walked in on a rainy Wednesday evening to a lovely mixed crowd singing George Michael. I got my signature bottle of champagne ($20- but not bad for Dallas) and took a seat in a corner, bopping my self- conscious little head to Billie Jean. Within 30 seconds, I'd made friends. One beautiful stranger told me he'd been trying to figure out who I reminded him of-- a young Christie Brinkley. Hello, stranger.
The people watching is amazing. The music is great. Everyone is friendly. The drinks are cheap and no two glasses are the same.
There's a rooftop terrace, a pool table, comfy chairs, and the most amazing people. I wish I lived here, actually. And you will too.
