This is my go to place at the Navy Pier food court for a couple of reasons.
First it is the best value in the food court. You get a great Gyro loaded full of meat, tomatoes and sauce. Â I usually do not get the onions on mine, but you can get them if you want. Â You can pay a lot more if you eat at the other food places and get a lot less. Â I've been here with others who have envied my choice of the Gyro! Â I always warn my friends but they never listen.
Secondly, they are super fast. Â These guys put the fast in fast food. Â I love it! Â This place knows how to keep the line moving. I have never waited here longer then a minute for my food and that includes ordering and paying.
The gyro is really good and is consistent with any other gyro place in Chicago because it is the same meat that everyone sells. Â There is never a bad sandwich here, unless you don't like Gyros!!!
Pretty good for a Greek stand. I ordered a regular gyro from this place, and saw that they had just finished taking hot meat off the grill. It's about average of what you'd expect from an over-the-counter vendor, but if you're paying the $5.80 for the gyro sandwich there, be HUNGRY. The sandwich is huge and overflowing with lamb and beef. Plenty of cucumber sauce and a good amount of onions and tomatoes.
Stop right on by if you don't want to wait in line at all the other places!
After a hardcore day of playing at the Children's museum, we decided to wander over to the food court for some grub. We chose Greek delight. Â Ordering was easy and efficient but what was a little too efficient was the 22 seconds it took the dude in the kitchen to slap together our Gyro. Â I'm not saying fast food can't be good but dude com'on. Â Act like your putting a little love into it or something. Â Unfortunately, the food reflected the speediness and was the worst tasting gyro I've had to date. Â The quality of the meat was poor and the tzatziki sauce clumped all on one side of the sandwich was a little to much to take. Â I will never return here. Â sorry....
