Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Great ambiance but the food is so average.  Went there for dinner last Friday with my family, thinking that it might be a nice place for us to eat.  Had the Jenny's special (I think the fish was Mahi?).  The portion size was so small.

It's nice for tourists who have never had the experience of going to a Bubba Gump (study up on your Gump trivia), but if you want good food, you can spend the same amount of money elsewhere and get much better food.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. We visited here on a Saturday night after taking in Winter Wonderland. The only thing halfway decent was my son's kids meal of shrimp and fries. This is my first review for Yelp as I felt I needed to let people know, how truly bad this place is.

Let me start of by saying there are many better places to eat in Chicago however, when your dining options are in Navy pier Bubba Gump is a solid choice.

After a long day of walking we hailed a cab to arrive at Navy Pier, the place was packed wall to wall we made a mad dash into Bubba Gump Shirmp much to our surprise we were seated promptly. Our Waitress Alison was awesome very charismatic and seemed like an all around awesome person. She explained the(if you have been there you know what I mean).

The service was all around awesome, I had a broiled fish sandwich fries and a Mango Hurricane, and maybe it is because i hadn't eaten since 8 & it was 4 now but that was the best fish sandwich I had ever had if that place had a buffet they would be gone. My daughter had chciken strips and fries, she enjoyed the chciken and said that the pickle was amazing I forgot to ask where they get them.

Now for the bad.... The fries, not very good I have not had much worse and to be honest I am not sure how you mess up fries but crinkle fries would been better, we also ordered a root beer for my daughter which never came but we where never charged for so we did not raise an issue as it was not even noted till the end of the meal (that is right the food was that good we did not pay that much attention to our surroundings).

In closing is there a better place you find food in Chicago yes of course but if you find your self in the area I do not think you can go wrong with Bubba
