West Egg Cafe

This is a great place for breakfast....it's a nice chilly little walk from Michigan Avenue.....I tried the California Crepes....since I am not a huge egg fan, the crepe serves me well.  This was the perfect choice.  Very fresh and worthy of the walk if  you want a good breakfast.  Lots of variety and no one in my party was disappointed with what they ordered.

Above-average breakfast place; fast service and the food is good. On weekend mornings they expand the floor by opening a room in the back, which is pretty cool.

The food is good, but it's nothing to write home about, which can be said for most Chicago restaurants.  Just a warning, this place is a mad house. Don't be deterred by the line outside the door. They get you in (and out) pretty quickly. It doesn't make for the best dining experience, you feel rushed even when you aren't. If you are coming here for a quick meal, then that's great. But if you want better quality food in a better, more relaxed atmosphere then go somewhere else.
