Decent spot to pick up some quality sushi. Â It really depends on the day you stop by though as they make it fresh and you never know what other people have already picked up, leaving your choices somewhat limited. I always get a bit nervous with Sushi sitting out too...
Good deal is that the sushi is discounted after 2 p.m. but that could be questionable too...ha!
This place is located in a food court and BEWARE: If you dine in, you will leave smelling like your lunch...and everyone else's for that matter...
Oh, "Toro Sushi Express" how I want to love you... or even like you. But, instead you fail in comparison to not only your older brother "Toro Sushi" which is phenomenal, but it pains me to say you even fail in comparison to sushi of the "Jewel-Osco" variety.
Admittedly, I have only frequented this place at 2 p.m. on the dot, for of their amazing two for one deal that begins at 2 every weekday, If only your taste lived up to your unmistakable value.
I have delved into the vast array of maki options. Finally, coming to the realization that if anything is going to taste remotely good, then you should go with the simplest choice you can, no sauces, no crunch or tempura. Regardless of this valuable tip I have noticed that even my plainest of orders have had fishy tasting fish and dense rice, fatal blows for an maki roll worth its britches.
If you want bad sushi at a tremendous savings "Toro Sushi Express" is the place for you, but if you find yourself up north by "Toro Sushi" you must try it out. Delicious sushi at a small hole in the wall BYOB place, just the way it should be.
