The Iron Shaker

My wife and I went to Iron Shaker for our anniversary.  When we walked in, the staff asked us if we had reservations, despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty.  We sat down and gave the waiter our coupon for a glass of free wine.  The waiter indicated that we had to purchase a glass to get one free, which is not what the coupon said.  Despite this, we proceeded to order our food.  We ordered the ahi tuna, the mushroom dish and the meatball stuffed with ricotta cheese.  The ahi tuna was bland with absolutely no seasoning.  When I tried the greens underneath the tuna, I bit into a raw onion.  The mushrooms came out cold and also had no seasoning.  Finally, the ricotta-stuffed meatball, which came out way after the rest of our food, was as hard as a rock and had no hint of seasoning, nor ricotta.  We spent almost $100 for the three "appetizer" dishes (plus tip), which we felt was hardly worth it.  This was one of the worst dining experiences we had in a while.  Definitely won't be coming back to this place.

Time Travel. Suddenly, we are not in WP any more!  Great City vibe  for this cocktail and tapas lounge.  Cocktails were excellent, especially the blackberry/elderflower one.    Perfectly cooked lamb chops, delicious scallops and crunchy savory fried artichokes.  When we suggested that the sauce from the scallops was too good to leave on the plate, they brought us toast to sop up the sauce. .  Service was attentive and not intrusive.  Can't wait to get back to try other items on the menu.

The menu looked great. The food looked great. The service was terrible. The food was even more terrible. I buy group on and living social deals all the time to experience great food at low prices. But this food was horrible. My GF and I said we are never going back after only our first time there. There was not one single thing that we liked at this place. It was terrible. Save your money.
