Mulberry Street Italian Kitchen

Great portions. Very good chicken marasala. Waiters were very courteous. Food was prepared in a timely fashion. Enjoyed looking at the murals on the wall.

TERRIBLE.  The red sauce on my chicken parm tasted like it came from a no frills supermarket can. The rigatoni was so soft it seemed like it was recooked over and over until finally served.  It was mush!. For an appetizer, the muscles in white wine sauce had a fishy odor and taste, plus there were more closed than open ones and even the open ones were tiny.  The service was non existent from the hostess to our server who seemed like he couldn't be bothered with us.  Sparking or flat for water choices is so 2003.  Just another way to overcharge a table for seltzer.  We asked for "sparkling" and still got tap water on the side. This place is NOT worth the money, time or experience.  If you want rip-off, chain style Italian food, go to Olive Garden.  At least you know the food will be half way decent.

The shrimp fra daviolo tastes metallic and old and was absolutely not fresh. The mussels were completely not edible. I'm not a food snob and I love family style Italian, but this place is garbage. Don't waste your time or money (it's not cheap).
