First time at this location for lunch today. Great atmosphere! The BBQ Atlantic Salmon was Excellent! Service and Server were both attentive and cute. :) Tribes still number one, however this appears to be a close second!

I came here with a friend and it was strictly drinking, so this rating is solely based on service and knowledge.  For a Saturday night, it was packed.  We found the last available table in the bar and the waitress was on top of her game.  We were seated for maybe 2 minutes and she came right up to us.  She was pretty patient as I had asked for 2 samples of different beers.  After we placed our order, the waitress served us fairly quickly.  She also checked back about every 10 minutes.  I have to say for a packed Saturday night, she was hustling.   The crowd is typically 20's & 30"s but there's some 40"s and up.  A good mixture.

The down-side:  Parking can be a challenge as well as seating.

I have been here several times. Party of two many times, party of four and once as a party of eight.  Each and everytime seating goes without an hitch they have a system and it works.  The service has been excellent everytime but once. That must have been a glitch once it was brought to a managers attention it was corrected. The servers even with the party of eight the server seemed to be there when we needed her.  As far as the food goes, everything we have had (and we have had a lot of what is on the menu) has been delicious. The drinks are great and if you need some assistance of what is offered they are there to assist and again if they don't know they will go ask.  With excellent service, their variety of drink and food along with it's great taste at a fair price makes a place to try at least once...you may find it to be one of your favorites.

I took the wife and kids here for V day.  They had Lagunitas on tap.  That was nice.  They forgot my soup.  Not nice.  Our server did a good job.  It seemed like they had a bunch of new people working there.  I had the grilled chicken sandwich and a potato.  It was good like it always is.  Wife liked her buffalo chicken wrap.  Kids liked the food too.  The women are not as scantly clad as they used to be.  Kids were bummed out that they only had a couple games to play.

The atmosphere is amazing at Jamesons.  Imagine eating inside a giant log cabin near the trees.  There is a cool patio out back with nice wilderness views of trees and the occasional deer or Sasquatch.

The food is good and a lot of TV's for watching the game.  I think the craft beer selection needs to improve significantly.  Tribes is still my place but Jamesons is much better for watching a game and has more seating.

The biggest issue we had was the slow service from our waitress.  She barely checked in with our table for drink orders but in her defense she was quite busy.

Just recently making the move back to the south burbs has reminded me of a few things.  1. You're all still here??  2. Damn, I forgot how much longer it takes to get to the city.  3. There is a serious lack of places to hang/grab a good beer out here.

I miss Bigby's...  If it wasn't for a group of awesome friends to make bars out here bearable, I would have a serious stamp and/or coin collection going and would be polishing them right.. now.

So, Jameson's.  I remember when this place opened it was Northwoods.  Seems like although this place has been a few different things since, the only thing that has changed is the name.  It still looks like a log cabin.  The one thing I'm glad hasn't changed, is the patio. It's a huge wood deck that overlooks nature type stuff.  Preetty awesome on a summer night.

The few times I have been here since it has been Jameson's I have been through the gauntlet of slow and forgetful waitresses (they dress as the other reviewers state- if you're into that sort of thing), overcharged on my tab for things I didn't order, eaten below average food, and forced to drink their small last season's craft selection.

But,  I'll probably still go... what other choices do I have... (this question is hypothetical.  I don't need you to tell me)

I'm 3.5 Stars here! Huge space with like 50 flat screens/ It used to be "Northwoods" so the inside is kinda rustic-Log-etc. Super hot staff all around but especially at the bar! Wow/ food is good and the menu is quite extensive-- maybe a little too much to be honest! Good beer selection as well/ cold A/C-- try it!! P.S. The Owner stopped by to ask how everything was!! A rarity! GTFJD

Really nice place. The outdoor seating is fantastic. Good atmosphere. So much to choose from on the menu. I ordered a panini and it was huge! Service on the other hand could have been better. It took us a while to get our first drink and after we ordered our food she didn't bring out any silverware. It wasn't terrible service, but it definitely could have been better. I would come back.

Food is just ok.  Bar is fun.  Great place to watch a game on the TV's.

This place has changed hands several times in the past 4 years. Unfortunately, the lamest one seems as though it will weather the storm. I was driving so I ordered a soda and my friend had a vodka and water. Or should I say I had brown water and he had clear! The whole dinner I felt as though they were trying to drown me. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. They give you a big dish of slaw but, It had no taste as it was swimming in water. The sandwich came open faced on toasted french bread. I tasted the sauce and it was mild, but sweet. When I bit into the sandwich though, I felt like I was squeezing a sponge. It must have been the condensation from leaving it in the steam table pan too long. Yes, I'm trying to be nice as a newly minted Lutheran. But WTF! I'm still Italian and I'm not eating supper at 2 with my grandmother in the home! My friend made a funny and said even the pepper had no taste. The place looks great though.

Jeeze people, get over the outfits, did you come for food or circuses?  Ive always found the food to be very good. Generous size proportions and nicely done.  The service is good and the prices in the ballpark.

Love the food here.  The servers are good looking but should they be chastised for that? I don't think so, haters.  I'm a woman, we are well aware that there's a difference between good looking and just plain skanky.  These gals are not skanky.  The food is fresh with a great variety of sides that are not the typical fries or chips.  There is a loft for rent that we're seriously considering for my boyfriend's 50th birthday party.  Private bar, seating and a great view of the establishment.  Its like a log cabin, but modern.  We love it, love the food and the prices are great.  So ladies, get over yourselves.  Waitresses are SUPPOSED to be good looking.  Grow up and work on your self-esteem will you?  (Or ditch the dbag with the wandering eyes that you're with and obviously stressing over!)

The place is fine. The $4 Monday burger was above average. However the beer selection is sub-par, and they never give out a free drink no matter how long you're there.

I can go without the eye candy if it means having somebody that can pay attention. The building and setup are beautiful.

Booty-shorted servers in the south burbs? Where the Eff am I!?! Came here over the holidays for some good old fashion townie bar fun, and what I found was some pretty decent eye-candy in the most unassuming of places. I didn't try the food, but for a waterhole here's my analysis...

The waitresses are cute and dressed provocatively, the crowd is much younger than I expected it to be (although I'm sure the holidays had something to do with it), the booze is dirt cheap, and there are tons of TV's. If I'm not mistaken I'd say they were trying to appeal to the 20 something demographic. Kinda weird considering when I was growing up this area was all families.

I guess the neighborhood has changed, and Hooters ain't the only game in town anymore. People of suburbia...here's another option.

Nice to see a Restaurant that finds the importance of quality, service and cleanliness!  I hope this one stays longer than the rest and after dining here a couple of times I see Jameson's staying in Frankfort for a LONG, LONG, LONG Time!  P.S. Love the $15 Full Slab Rib Special Wednesday been coming every Wednesday for the last month and they keep getting better!

Three of us went in for lunch this week and were all impressed with the food and service.  After reading some reviews here, we weren't sure what we'd get but we all walked out feeling it was better than we'd expected.

The spinach and artichoke dip was very good.  I've had it at numerous other restaurants and it was by far the best here.  Just the cheese used seemed to be a better quality and it was just the right texture, not too runny and not too thick.

We all opted for burgers and they were all done to perfection.  I had the black and blue burger, and my only complaint, if I would have to have one, would be it could have used a little more blue cheese.  Of course, I think anything could use more blue cheese!

The service was fast and our waitress made sure our drinks were always full and always had a smile on her face.

Overall, a great sports bar type restaurant to grab a burger and have some fun.

Jameson's has a great vibe and delicious food!  There staff is a little on the not so bright or not so paying attention side but other than that it was really great!

I've eaten at Jameson's Pub on several occasions and have mixed feelings each time. The service is inconsistent. I have found that their lunch staff is much better than their evening staff. The food is above average bar food however I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. The wraps have appealed to me the most with the Grecian wrap or the Tuscan wrap being my default choices. If you're a football fan, I would recommend coming here to watch a game. Great deals and good atmosphere!

I went on a Saturday around 6:00PM.  We sat outside and it was great!  The deck is very big with a great view... we even saw a deer!  The food and drink menus both have a lot of choices and the three things we ordered were very good.  It started getting more crowded as we left (around 8:00PM) but it wasn't bad so maybe the crowd thickens later.  Service was good, nothing spectacular.  I will definitely be returning because the prices were very reasonable and we really enjoyed the ambiance!

First of all I loved this place as the Northwoods. The down side, people bring in a whole brood of spoiled yuppie larvae and they make no attempts to discipline them

We went into Jameson's last night for the first time since they opened. I got the last parking spot available. We expected a long wait and we were given the standard "Minimum of 20 minute wait" which translates to much longer. There was an open high table as you walk into the bar area and we asked about that and sat right down.

I agree with others about the server's showing too much cleavage and short shorts. While some could wear this, others should not. The food was reasonably priced. I asked our server for Salt & Pepper when she brought my salad. Well I finished it and when she brought the entrees, I again asked for it and she finally brought it. Other than that she was good. The food quality was pretty good also. The only downside it is so loud in there. This was the same when it was Northwoods. However, when it was the Fireplace it was more quiet because it was a little more pricey.

If anything, I would ask...People if you want to go to dinner with your brood, especially young babies, head to Denney's, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wildwings...you get the picture. Nothing is worse than having a stress filled week at work and some Soccer Mom's brat bellowing and she is tone deaf to it.

You gotta know what you're getting into here. Went for a late lunch on a Saturday with my husband, baby and another couple. Now, maybe it's the fact that me & the husband ain't exactly hittin it like we used to, but the waitresses donned in super short mini skirts and boots about sent him over the edge. I found the whole deal quite funny, but my friend, who's date could not stop commenting and staring, found it much less amusing. Maybe not so great family atmosphere, but hey, I didn't pick the place, and it didn't bother me.

The food was good for what it was. I had a chicken wrap that had cheese, red onion, jalapeno, lettuce, bacon, ranch with the pasta salad. Really decent. They also had 22 oz. beer on tap on special for $3.50.  Our server was great.

Ladies, if you are secure in your relationship I'd say feel free to have a good time here. If not, I'd suggest coming here for a girls night out and going elsewhere with your man.

Robert -- do you own a bar next door or something?  Why so adamant?

The other reviewers are right, the place is slammed on the weekends and if that's your thing then great.  Speaking personally, I am not that big a fan of a jammed packed bar where I have to see 100s of people, so when I walked in on Saturday, I walked right out.

I came back the next day though and had the Rueben.  It was a good sandwich, but what was most satisfying is how inexpensive it is.  My girlfriend and I ate an appetizer (southwestern egg rolls -- delicious), two sandwiches and sides and a couple of beers and it was $30.  Down the street the same meal would be at least $20 more.

The difference in the crowd between a Saturday and a Sunday is remarkable too.  Families and kids were there when I went on Sunday.  All in all, a great addition to our quiet suburb.

We came here for the Gold medal men's hockey game on Sunday. The place was jam packed & as an experienced diner / bar fly I never expected great service. Well we got it! She hustled all day long (because of the crowds). It turns out our server is actually a manager who hit the floor serving because of the unexpected crowds. I'm sure she will pass those great skills on to any new servers she trains. This is the old North woods, Poor Reds & Fireplace Inn building which I love . It's like you left IL & ended up in the North woods of WI. However this is no small time bar, the place is huge. There are plenty of Plasmas all over the place but my neck hurt from looking up after a while. We ordered Hot Wings w/ blue cheese & celery & a bowl of chili. The wings were good & very meaty. The Blue cheese dressing was a little watery but did have some chunks to it. I'm told the chili was de-lish.

My wife and I tried Jameson's for the first time tonight after being recommended by a friend.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  I felt that the food was priced fairly at $8 for sandwiches and hamburgers and a few dollars more for entrees.  The wait staff was very pleasant and happy and service was fast.  The food was cooked well and tasted good.  There were many TVs and it was a very comfortable atmosphere.  We will be back.
