I really thought Jimmy John's was supposed to be fast... Typically it is. Â But somehow it took 50 minutes to deliver to a location approximately 1 mile away. Â By the time the sandwich arrived the bread was soggy. Â Even worse were the mushy tomatoes they put on the sandwich. Â I was pretty disappointed and probably won't order food from here again.
Review Source:After procrastinating and studying nonstop for an exam at Starbucks next door, I was famished! Conveniently, JJ is right around the corner.
The service is always very friendly and freaky fast! It's my go to place for a quick lunch when I'm on campus. I don't know what it is, but the bread is addicting - along with a bag of jalepeno chips and a pickle, I'm a happy camper!
Im a big fan of jimmy johns sandwiches and this was hands down the best experience I've had at a Jimmy johns! I am notorious for complicated orders and they nailed it no questions asked. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was perfectly proportionate. I would also would add another star for cleanliness and one for a courteous staff!
Review Source:Horrible! My husband ordered sandwiches with no tomato...both came with tomato...and about 2 cups of mayo...so much mayo the sandwich couldn't be salvaged.
I ordered an unwich...the lettuce used for the wrap looked unwashed. Â It was wilted and brown...also inedible.
When the guy at the counter handed my husband his sandwiches, my husband told him it was to go, and the guy at the counter replied "the bags are right there".
Finally, when a place's slogan is subs so fast you'll freak, they should try to live up to it. Â Service was slow considering there were no other customers in front of us.
Will not be going back.
The service is fast and the food is always fresh. Â Not only was I born in the year they started, but this restaurant means a lot to me, especially, when I travel to other cities. Â My favorite sandwich of all-time has to be the #9 Italian Night Club with hot peppers. Â Sometimes, I just go there and buy French loaves and go home and make French toast or even my own customized sandwich!
Review Source:This is a review for their delivery.
I honestly just love Jimmy. So dependable and always here quick when I'm most in need.
I don't know whether it's this location, but they really are freaky fast. I've ordered so many times from here, and not once have they screwed up my order. And, to top it off, the delivery boys are so nice. Sure, they've been late a couple of times here and there, but the guys always seem sincerely apologetic.
It's the best thing after a long day when I'm too lazy to cook.
REVIEW OF SERVICE ON 6/10 - $1 SUB DAY
Line was massive, as expected, but the service was spectacular. They had people fill out thie rorder sheets while in line, and all we had to do was hand it to the cashier. Sub was made fast, and very tasty.
It's nice they offered this promotion the day I'm at a sox game.
Ummmmm....tell me something, people. Â Is it customary for JJ's to ask for sandwiches BACK? Â LIke, you know, if they screw up on a delivery order and you call to complain about it? Â Isn't that against some, if not health code, for customer service code? Â
Other than that, this place is okay - typical JJ's. Â Packed during lunch, but they're usually pretty fast with delivery.
F you Jimmy Johns.
there is nothing else next to this place so I'm forced to come here or eat the new 'cous cous' salad from Starbucks.
They've consistently left things out of my order. I didn't want tomatos...And yes, there were tomatos.
Today, I paid the extra 50 cents for hot peppers. I heard the lady scream peppers but when I got back to my office and looked in my sandwich, did I get hot peppers? No.
I personally believe a $7 sandwich should at least have all the right parts.
So I ordered Jimmy Johns for lunch with a few friends at work. The bread is amazing... and I got a BLT which was great.
They did take almost 2 hours for delivery and the size of the sandwich was much smaller than I expected for the price.
So, I'd say, if youre willing to spend the money for a good sandwich and you aren't starving (which I was by the time I got it)...
then go for it! But, stop by, don't get delivery.
********THE GRAND OPENING IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH FROM 11AM-1PM AND SANDWICHES ARE $1.00*********
You heard it here first.
I was fed up and done with Jimmy John's because of the skimpy amount of meat they put on their sandwiches as of late...until coming to this location. I don't know what it is about the corner of 35th and State, but the Starbucks and Jimmy John's here are top notch. I haven't seen this much meat on my country club since I ate at the evanston location back in college.
Of course you get what you pay for, and Jimmy John's ain't cheap. A club sandwich, chips and drink cost $8.81? Whatever happened to combo meals? The IIT kids and cheap southsiders like myself are not going to pay that much for sandwiches. I guess they can't do much about it though because it's a chain and they don't really set prices. Oh well at least it's tasty.
After teasing an opening for almost nine agonizing months, this place opened last week. Â Yes for us employees around the IIT campus, our options for lunch have risen dramatically... Â no longer am i choosing jalapeno cheetos from the vending machine, 7-11 sandwiches and samosas (very brave of me i might add) Â or just starving. Â
In one week i've gone 5 times. Â I promise never to get sick of you jimmy johns.
