I hadn't eaten in this place since they remodeled and reopened and will not plan on coming back anytime soon.
I like 153 Akira in Wilmette on Greenleaf so much better...
I started with the Age-dashi Tofu and the soup base was good, but the tofu was of poor quality and crust was not finished or crunchy.
Our miso soup was really good, but the salad was just lettuce and the salad dressing was watered down.
I ordered the sushi combination A and the sushi rice was the worst I have ever had...dried and tasteless. The fish was of good quality so sashimi seems like a better choice here, so don't order maki rolls.
My husband's sukiyaki was very very good and the only thing I would order if I were to ever venture this way although I doubt it highly.
Service was nice and friendly but we were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday night at 6pm.
Disappointing. My family of four ate here for dinner but we won't return. One dish had a long blond hair in it, but even before my husband found it, he was disappointed with the dish. Another dish was smothered in a mediocre teriyaki sauce. The miso soup was fine, but the salad was poor. Service was fine, but the place was empty at 8:00 on a Friday night - that should have told us something.
