Khyber is probably my favorite place in the city.  Don't be scared of the hipsters at the bar or the dark interior.  I've never had anything I wasn't a fan of, and man have I had some delicious things off the menu and the board specials:  Pulled pork nachos, fried green tomatoes, crawfish etouffee (not on the menu but always on special--get a "small" bc it's pretty darn big). big-ass biscuit & gravy and the beignets (a friend claims khyber is the only place she'll get them outside of new orleans).

The drinks!  I have tried MANY bloody marys and theirs is definitely the best.  And the frozen mint julep( when the machine is working) is really yummy and very strong.  Lots of great beer on tap, revolving, in casks, bottles, etc.

First place that my gf and I went to in Philly during our first road trip together. I couldn't have made a better choice. The atmosphere was really chill and relaxing during the heat wave on Friday. We started with the cornmeal crusted oysters and split a mixed green salad. Both were incredibly delicious. I ordered the brisket sandwich w/ mac n cheese. She ordered the fried green tomato BLT w/ okra. We both had affairs with our food. The beer menu was really neat and organized. The cigar city brown ale was stellar on tap. The service was fine. Surprised that there only seemed to be one waiter working in the middle of the afternoon. I really can't wait to come back here again.

I have passed by Khyber Pass Pub probably dozen of times with no thoughts on going in until my friend and I made it a goal to hit all of the 2012 Top 50 Bars in 2013.  She had been before and raved about it.  I was in the area by myself and thought about walking in but found the outside a little intimating which maybe why never thought to go in before.  My next time in the area I wasn't alone so finally made it in the door and wish I had sooner.  It your run of the mill dive bar.  Bartender was super friendly and informative.  Had a dark and dingy dive bar feel but the high ceiling made you feel like you were in a more open space.  I would go back next time I am around there and not hesitate to go in alone.

I haven't been to the Khyber for a long time since the renovations, so I am glad I took a chance to come back here. The renovations are cool with seating where the stage use to be to give more of that pub feel. They have a great rotating draft list and an extensive bottle list, so you will find a beer you'll enjoy. I also tried their gumbo and it was packed with andouliie sausages. I do enjoy the concept of the menu being more of a laid back New Orleans style, so I have to try the rest of the menu. They are also getting bands upstairs, so it is even more of a reason to come here.

How have I never visited Khyber Pass before?  This place is freaking awesome.

Why is it freaking awesome?  It has a casual atmosphere, great food, great beer options, and (at least from my visit) great service.  And they serve a pretty rockin version of my favorite food- mac n cheese.  And it is in the family of my two other favorites in the city- Cantina and Royal Tavern.

We visited for Philly Beer Week early on a Friday evening.  They had a happy hour going on, so I was able to get a draft for pretty cheap.  Speaking of their beers, they have an amazing selection of beers, including Abita, which is one of my favorite breweries.

For food, I was extremely pumped about the cajun menu with a vegan/veg twist.  My husband and I ordered some fried green tomatoes and a muffaletta sandwich with a side of mac n cheese to share.  The fried green tomatoes were awesome although I wished they had given some more of the yummy remoulade sauce on the side.  I love muffalettas (it's a sandwich made of a variety of meats, melted swiss cheese and topped with an olive salad) and this one.  Plus it's HUGE and for the price ($10), its a great deal.  And the mac n cheese... this stuff is slap-yo-mama good.  OMG.

Now onto the service.  Well... we asked to have the muffaletta on two plates since we were sharing.  When our meal came out, I noticed that they split the sandwich but also gave us EACH an entire serving of the mac n cheese!  Score!  See, it's the little things that you do for your customers that will keep them coming back.

Go to Khyber Pass and make sure to get that amazing mac n cheese!

We stumbled upon Khyber Pass around 11:30pm on a Thursday night. We were starving after an evening of travel, and many area kitchens were closed. We were greeted by two friendly bartenders, a fantastic beer selection, and some comfy seats at the bar. YESssssssssssssssss (you know that feeling?)

I went for the vegan pulled pork sandwich, based on the bartender's recommendation, as well as some smoked cheddar cheese fries. It was JUST what I needed. The sauce on the sandwich was excellent in combination with slaw. The fries were delish. My boyfriend enjoyed his wings, too. Next time we're in Philly, we'll probably try get back.

Not surprised the same people who own the Royal Tavern would have another killer gastropub.  The food here rocks - seriously.  Get the bbq platter with biscuits.  Mac and cheese was insane.  Everything, actually, was awesome.

Few other places in Old City, and arguably Philly, serve up Khyber's awesome combination of solid drinks and cheap(ish) eats. Perusing the tap list revealed a nice cross-section of brews (IPAs, ESBs, stouts, 2 casks, and rare picks) at decent prices. Due to the heat, however, I opted for a frozen blackberry mint julep. At $7, the strong cocktail was a steal. A bourbon bite and blackberry tang up front gave way to a smooth, fruity-minty sweetness.

All the food I've tried here is worth ordering once more. Fried green tomatoes had a crispy crust and a nice tang from the spicy remoulade, but could've used a pinch more salt. Ditto for the sweet potato fries, whose lack of seasoning betrayed a perfect texture. A softshell crab po' boy delivered on the crustacean front, with a whole, well-fried crab nestled on a just-so-slightly dry roll. Khyber's vegan pulled pork sandwich won't fool any carnivores but is delicious in its own right with tender shreds of seitan adding heft to tangy North Carolina sauce and refreshing vegan coleslaw. The mac and cheese here is divine, striking the proper balance between cheesy funk and milky richness. If the bowl wasn't so damn hot I would've licked it clean. Beignets are delicious, but when is anything deep fried and covered in mounds of sugar not?

Service here is hit or miss; at dinner our waiter was prompt and friendly, yet at brunch we had a slow (but still helpful) server. Khyber's brunch menu is also killer for hearty, Southern hangover-slaying meals at low costs (check out the biscuits and gravy, grillades with grits, and Louisiana hash). Though the atmosphere leans divey, the prices, food quality, veggie friendliness, and drink program has made Khyber Pass a favorite spot of mine in Philly.

    Delicious Vegan Options!

I have been to Kyber Pass Pub twice now when visiting Philly, and both times, I have loved the food and the experience of being there.  I am a vegan who normally eats only healthy food, but when I go out with friends, I enjoy going to a place like this that caters to meat-lovers and vegans and everyone in between.  Their prices are reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of food they serve.

You can tell they care about the quality of ALL the food they serve, including the vegan fare - unlike Campo's Deli, where I recently had the most tasteless mock cheese-steak one can imagine.  Kyber Pass serves a delicious mock pulled-pork sandwich with vegan coleslaw on it.  It is made from seitan, seasoned and prepared correctly so it tastes very similar to actual pulled-pork, which vegans have a right to expect.  On the other hand, Campo's Deli, which makes a great real cheese-steak, doesn't  care about pleasing their vegan customers.  When they served me and a guest the vegan version of this sandwich, it was like eating moist cardboard on dense white bread.  It was tasteless, even with the chunks of undercooked onion and green pepper added, and cost more than $10 with nothing on the side, not even a pickle!  No ambiance either.  That very bad experience made me realize just how special Kyber Pass Pub truly is, so I thought I better tell everyone that I highly recommend it - especially to vegans - and whether one drinks or not.

I am not a drinker, but I am very comfortable in this pub.  They have a great selection of beers for those who enjoy a cold one, but it's more than a pub.  I have been with friends who have ordered different foods and various beers, and all have been very pleased with everything, including the service.  Definitely a great place to try!

Kinda feel bad about giving this place a 3.  The food is always great (Only, the hush puppies suck.)!  However the last two times I've been, I've been stuck with bad service.

Heavily tatted, short dark hair, curvy girl... Last night was the second time my group had her.  The first time, she was just really slow and aloof.  This time, she was a BIATCH.  It took her over 10 minutes to get to our table, and when she did, she acted as if we were putting her out.  The thing that made me angry enough to write this review was when I asked very nicely for napkins b/c the busser spilled my drink when he brought it to the table (which I didn't say - I just asked for napkins).  She put a big smile on her face and said, extremely condescendingly "Of COURSE I was going to bring you napkins.".  Typed out, it sounds like she was being congenial, only that she wasn't. I'm sure that she didn't see the huge sticky puddle on the table... but that's not acceptable behavior for any reason. As soon as she left, my two friends said "Whoa! What did you do?".

I don't know if she was having a bad night or what, but being nasty to perfectly nice customers is not okay.  Having a bitchy hipster attitude is something I expect in a clothing store, not a restaurant.  And, if I get this girl as my waitress again, I'm requesting another server.

Other than that, the Khyber is great.

Not what you'd expect from a bar. Omg seriously one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever eaten. Fries, with cheese and brown gravy complete w bits of meat inside. Can it get any better? Oh, and really awesome chocolate bread pudding. Def dont pass this up if you are in Philly!

The late night barbecue beet sandwich I ate here was so delicious. It wasn't covered in sauce as I expected it to be, but the meat was so flavorful on its own that it didn't really need it. Also incredible was the beer list--I had two awesome beers, an IPA and a stout, that ran only $5-7 apiece. I also wanted it to have a more horseradish crazy flavor, but it was okay--the brisket and the bread were enough.

The service is a little lacking mostly because there was one girl for like 10 tables. She needed help, Khyber Pass! She was sweet as pie though, despite having so many people to take care of.

I had the hot sausage po' boy with fries and cole slaw.  Food was great.  Also had a couple of frozen mint juleps which were tasty.  Very boozy but good.  Also tried the bacon fat popcorn which was greasy but delicious.  Did not have any beers, but they did have a pretty extensive beer list.  Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stop in for a drink or to get dinner.

Coming up here for Philly Beer Week, and ending up wanting to eat near Eulogy, we stumbled into this place (well, not due to inebriation -- that wasn't until later). Knowing nothing about it, but seeing from the sandwich board out front that they were serving some food from my area, we wandered in.

Y'all, they have some of the more truly authentic Cajun food. Color this Texan surprised to find that in the middle of Philly. Their jambalaya had a nice kick, the beans-and-rice were ON, and the crawfish étouffée was poppin-like-pringles!

We saw the popcorn, and several of the vegetarian options (vegetarian catfish po' boy? That sounds ... interesting ...), but we went with the above, along with a shrimp po' boy that was delicious.

We also started off with the nachos, which were VERY good. I only wish that I'd brought some salsa up with me ...

The beer selection was respectable, but we weren't in there to drink. Which we did anyway.

Hankerin' for some Cajun. Well, then, my friend, you just found the spot.

Don't let its appearance fool you, Khyber Pass Pub has the potential to be a five-star  restaurant and high end bar.  I mean, trust me and just walk in to get a look at the beer menu... that should lock you in for at least a drink! And after a few - I mean really, who has just one? - you'll probably be hungry and ready for a bite.  Their southern style comfort food will fill your belly with goodness and won't conflict with what you've already imbibed. I personally favor their Fried Green Tomato BLT and always pair it with their awesome mac and cheese.

Khyber Pass Pub offers some great Cajun-style bar food and New Orleans staples.

Muffaletta, catfish po boys, shrimp po boys, collard greens, and fried okra are all really good.

Brunch has some unique items - boudin and eggs, bananas foster French Toast, BBQ hash. Try the creole bloody mary!

loved, loved, LOVED it here. I was able to get a vegan fried chicken po' boy with spicy collard greens while my boyfriend got shredded bbq pork. the beer selection (and their knowledge of everything they served, including the beer) was amazing. service was perfect - our server had the menu memorized, and when our candle went out at our table, someone literally showed up in like, 30 seconds to replace it. great atmosphere, good music being played in the background, excellent mix of eclectic people. wish i lived closer!

I was here for brunch and had a great experience. We ordered the beignets, which were perfect! My hash was pretty good as well. However, I wasn't warned that the food was going to be spicy and had a hard time finishing my meal. So, be warned about spice levels but otherwise this is a great spot.

OK. I'm saying it. Why all the rave reviews of the popcorn?! I have a salty palate, but this was too salty. And too salty for me is just TOO DAMN SALTY! I'm still recovering and it was almost a week ago that I was there.

That being said, according to my BF, who is far more knowledgeable about beer than I, they had a great beer selection: he studied that draft list very carefully and helped me pick out a great Belgian that I really enjoyed...a few times.

And, though the popcorn was a disappointment, the Vegan BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was bangin', as were the collard greens & the sweet potato fries. However, the Grilled Vegan Sausage was kind of meh.

Overall, despite some disappointments, 4 stars for the good beer, and, well, being the creature of habit that I am, I loved the Vegan Pulled Pork enough to order it again and again and again.

I really loved this place. Good atmosphere though a bit loud. Loved there huge selection of craft beers. Was disappointed with their pulled pork. I recommend the Po Boy Sandwich and the Nugget Nectar and the Grumpy Monk

There were a couple of times during the afternoon that I considered sneaking into the kitchen and stealing their rub. That stuff is amazing. Plus the staff is always great and the beers are somehow even better.

I was a little let down by their pulled pork- it was pretty dry and flavorless. But their smoked chicken and pork ribs, along with those gorgeous gravy cheese fries, are a little bit of heaven on Earth. The coleslaw and collards are pretty amazing too.

It's really a fun, laid back place. You can chill out with a few beers and some friends and kind of just get lost. I definitely recommend this place to BBQ lovers.

Every time my boyfriend and I decide to hit up the Ritz for a film, we usually come here for a drink and meal beforehand. My friend Richie is the manager and the last time we were here he was behind the bar so it was a treat.

I love their assortment of beers and ciders. Always an interesting mix and sometimes they have beers I have only seen them have and not another bar. Their southern BBQ style food is amazing! I like that you can pick and choose different sides and how you want them. I like the atmosphere and even if you can't sit at the bar, you can sit at a table in the room to the right and it's still pleasant.

Also, they have art shows on the first Fridays of every month upstairs so if you like art, you could definitely come here.

I've been coming here for 10 years, since they had the DJ night Intensified! upstairs (Reggae, Soul, Motown) and I will keep coming here. Love this place!

I loved the beer selection here. The food options and the menu was very well thought of and the preparation was quite unique.

I ordered the popcorn (of course) and pulled pork. My friend ordered the Brisket.  The first thing I loved was the portions, we had enough to last for lunch the next day.  The atmosphere is a very good blend between a dive bar and a hole-in-the-wall Southern Restaurant with the perfect ambiance for groups no larger than 7-8 people.

I would highly recommend this spot to college alumni and businessmen looking for a happy hour spot.

I really honestly love this place and I couldn't even explain why.  I work nearby and have gone to so many different bars and somehow didn't stumble onto this place until recently.  I am so glad that I did.  Awesome beer, great service, very good food.  You can never go wrong with their soups, and bonus points for having so many awesome vegan options!

I've brought friends here and they've loved it as well.  If you want to know more about the beers, or sample, they are very helpful and will freely let you do so.

It's also SUCH a breath of fresh air to have a tv that isn't playing sports.  Of course they have one that does, but it's so nice to see a cool movie, or some channel while I'm in there.  More bars need to catch on that not everyone cares about a lame sports game.

This place is really, really good for a casual dinner of deep-fried food that will satisfy your vegan friends and your carnivore friends alike.

Great beer selection, friendly waitstaff.  If you have a sensitive stomach you better go somewhere else because seriously, almost everything is deep fried.

I wouldn't recommend ordering the mint julep--even though it goes with the ambience of Southern truck-stop food, it was pretty flavorless and not worth the money.  Aside from that, I love it here.

I am visiting PA and decided to pull out my trusty ole Yelp App to find lunch. I read the reviews and decided this place sounded right up my alley. I was with a group of people and we each ordered something different but equally tasty. We ordered the bacon greased popcorn which is a definite must if you come here! I ordered the fried oyster po boy, what a great decision on my part. My side included the "made to ordered" baked Mac N Cheese... So good.
The consensus from the rest of the crew: fried chicken- 4, muffuletta - 2, gumbo- 5 but add hot sauce. Baked beans are bad ass and the best collard greens around.

You won't be disappointed, though, the name is definitely deceiving... But it's a great twist.

I keep forgetting to Yelp this place, and it's one of my faves when I'm in town for work.  My veg and non-veg friends and I made the trek over here to get a beer and dinner one night when we were all in town, and we immediately loved the dive-y kitschy interior and super friendly staff.  The server made some really great beverage recommendations based on our likes, and we started off with some fried green tomatoes - crunchy, and served with a really tangy and delicious remoulade.

We had the vegan pulled pork sandwich, a po boy, and some other veg sandwich, along with some sides.  Everything was really, really fresh and full of flavor.  Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.

This place was really great. I met up with some friends here and we were all pretty impressed. The beer list was extensive, it had anything you could possibly want.

They also have pretty good food. We all shared a pulled pork sandwich, a catfish po boy, and collard greens and everything was outstanding. The atmosphere was very relaxed, friendly, and it wasn't too crowded. I fully intend on returning here very soon!

I can't stress enough how much I love this place. The food is spectacular (particularly the smoked brisket and pinto bean chili) and they always have a diverse and well managed tap line up.

I recently stopped in for lunch and our ticket was misplaced, causing our food to take a while. As a result the server comped our entire bill. This is just another example of why I'm a fan!

P.S. Best brunch in the city. Seriously. F*k PARC. This is where it's at.

    I. love. this. place.

I can't put a finger on the exact reason why...but maybe that's why it's so great. There isn't just one thing that makes Khyber Pass a great place to go to.

Saturday was gorgeous and we set out to try new places and get our day drink on. We landed at Khyber's and were immediately greeted with a surprisingly crowded but friendly atmosphere. The beer list is extensive and exciting if you are in to the beer scene. Lots of new things for me to try and the sudden surprise that...OH MY DEAR LORD THEY HAVE PO BOYS, and lots of them! I got the cat fish po boy with a side of collard greens and the mac and cheese. Heaven. Seriously. What is better than an afternoon of funky beers over fried fish and mac with your friends.

    Nothing. :)

My original review alluded to the fact that despite stepping away from being a music venue in order to focus on good food and good brews; The Khyber still maintained a stage upstairs that was rarely used; and that the future of the upstairs club's future was a pretty big question mark with its most recent inception.

But as of March it looks like music is once again on the menu as shows have been held upstairs (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.philebrity.com%2F2013%2F03%2F04%2Fas-it-was-in-the-beginning-so-it-shall-be-in-the-end-khyber-to-start-hosting-live-music-once-again%2F&s=d70ffb1bdc80d4334ecb5bb40f3c8dc2635de1f204cb9c31c76139aaa8d0d472" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.philebrity.co…</a>). Aside from a few listings that have appeared on Facebook, there hasn't exactly been much of a way to go through a calendar and figure out the essentials like exactly how many shows and how much they all generally cost; thus adding onto the whole fustercluck even more so. But it at least stands to reason that the Nick Millevoi and Heavy Medical show (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fevents%2F365356526910398&s=fa45839aa1d539cc94c83b94cc3ad01cb8b0a00792a8dc7fa8cea06337af8d0f" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.facebook.com/…</a>) on Thursday may be a good reason to at least find out if the sound is good (or at least see if they fixed up the stank ass bathroom from hell).

Therefore, consider this review to be continued yet again!

We LOVE Khyber! Everyone at our office from the President to the interns loves a good Khyber lunch. I also enjoy their cocktails or a beer from their awesome selection after work (maybe occasionally during) when I can. Whether its take out or  dining in, they always deliver. A company favorite is their pinto bean and brisket chili, like we get angry when they don't have it - they usually do have it though so we're generally happy.

Today we were taken to a new level of appreciation during a business lunch. Our chili and salads took a little longer than usual, however we had lots to discuss so we weren't complaining. Our lovely server was honest and informed us that our order was misplaced but would be out as soon as possible. After a little while longer she came back to tell us it would be out shortly and that the entire meal was on the house! Not just some free apps but that they were taking care of our full bill for four people. We were hungry but couldn't believe this kind and unnecessary gesture. Needless to say we will continue to frequent Khyber often and recommend it to everyone we know. I can't wait to try it for brunch!

Khyber Pass has become my go-to Thursday late night dinner spot. In 2013 I'm traveling again for work, and I don't get home until 10pm Thursdays. Once I get in, the lady and I head on to Khyber Pass.

What's so special about a Khyber Pass Thursday at 10:30/11pm? It's busy. I like that. It makes me feel like I'm coming home to something happening (though the lady is really all I need =D ). Second - it's consistent.

They serve up comfort food that is consistently good. The service is consistently nice, and it's always consistently a little cold if you sit by the window in the winter (I could do without that consistency, but that's neither here nor there). On first visit, I didn't think much. After finding a special place in my heart, Khyber Pass has moved up in my ranks.

Great beer selection, great food selection. I'd strongly recommend the grilled chicken po boy or sammy po boy, with sweet potato fries and collard greens. The pulled pork sandwich is nice too, even the vegetarian edition.

No need to get the mac n' cheese, unless you like really buttery mac n' cheese. Beers rotate all the time, but I go for the latest nut brown they've got. If that's out, I'll go for something that's not too hoppy.

Next time I'll be there is March 7th (won't be home 'til then). See you there!

Overall: Interesting spot, missable and off the path but worth checking for a great tap list and solid bar food. Service is tolerable.. order drinks until it reaches "good".
    _________________________________
    Ambiance: 2/5.

Dark bar gives way to a darker dining room, sunken, woody, and seating maybe 40. The dim lighting preserves some intimacy despute the blaring classic rock, and general bar atmosphere, though both bar and dining room vacant for 9 on Friday.
    _________________________________
    Service: 2/5.

Just once I'd like a check to be asked "split the check?" before it's brought over. Is this not standard enough yet in 2013? Service is impersonal and perfunctory, but otherwise timely and satisfactory in keeping libations and water filled.
    _________________________________
    Drinks: 3/5.

Solid beer selection.. but that's dime/dozen in Philly. Still, taps are full of choices, locals and styles. Bottle list shows care for quality and variety, Russian River included. Mixed drinks go unmentioned; my request for a pisco sour could not be satisfied.
    _______________________________
    Food: 3/5.

Fried green tomato BLT - The toast could use more flavor, but otherwise good. Bacon is well cooked and flavorful. The juicy fried green tomatoes burst. And there's just enough spice from the tobasco to make me miss it.

Mac and Cheese - Equally impressive. The crust on top corrobates the "baked" claim. It also provides a great texture contrast: creamy interior house in the thick and cruncy surface. Flavor is standard.

I can't get enough of this place. I've been for drinks, late night eats, and brunch, and have never had a single complaint.

First of all, their brunch is out of this world. I'd recommend claiming your seat before noon to avoid the rush, and eating the Big Ass Biscuit with Sausage Gravy. Holy delicious, Batman, this is one of the best meals I've ever eaten.

Their regular menu is also awesome, and it's nice to be able to bring my vegetarian boyfriend to a place where he has as much to eat as I do. Drinks are worthy, draft list is good enough for any beer snob, and service has always been friendly & attentive.

I tried out the Khyber Pass Pub last week with the boyfriend before seeing a movie at the Ritz. We went on a Monday night around happy hour ($2 off drafts!! :D) and the place was understandably pretty quiet except for a few groups eating and a small crowd at the bar.

I was very pleased with the music, which was a good selection of classic rock-- quite a few songs I heard at KPB are somewhat obscure and don't get played on the radio much, so that was a plus. I was only unhappy with the volume on the music; at times, it was too loud and I could hardly hear myself or my boyfriend speak.

The beer: large and varied list, with many less well-known brewers. I ordered the Green Flash Grand Cru (mostly because of the name) and I was not disappointed. It was a little darker than Flying Fish's version, but it went really well with my dinner.

The food: my BBQ brisket sandwich with a side of fries is the reason why this pub gets five stars. I am no BBQ connoisseur, but this sandwich was the BBQ I've ever had. The meat was tender, juicy, covered in the smoky BBQ sauce, and was piled in four layers on my bun. The bun itself was buttered (huge plus) and there was a glorious amount of horseradish on the side that I could spread on my sandwich. The fries were quite good-- nice and crispy without being hard shells, and with the right amount of fluff. But the most amazing thing on the table was the boyfriend's side of mac-and-cheese. It was heavenly, I tell you. We asked the waiter what cheese was in it and he returned to tell us that they used a bechamel sauce. Oh God. I could die. I've had the best pub mac-and-cheese on this earth. Seriously. Go try it.

Overall, this place was really cool, with great food and beer and friendly service to boot. I hope to come back soon for more and in the meantime, this is definitely going on my favorite bars list!

I ate here for dinner during happy hour so I was able to take advantage of the -2$ off of most beers. The beer selection itself is better than most bars so don't worry about not being able to find something you like.

For my meal, I had the North Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich which was very good especially because the bun was buttered and had herbs on it! For my side, I listened to my fellow yelpers when they say this place makes good mac & cheese and yelp never fails to impress me. It's YUMM YUMM!

Lip smacking good! I have been here just to drink, eat brunch and have dinner. All are approved from this Southern Girl. It's not exactly like home but pretty damn good for Philly. Plus, The Khyber has always been a great hangout.

Creole Bloody suggested for brunch. Bam!

This is a solid joint all-around, no matter what your purpose. This place makes for a good date, casual friend meetup, or seedy heist planning session.

Between the dark, casual ambiance, rotating beer selection, and creative menu, there is nothing not to love.

The pulled pork sandwich, fried pickles, and fried shrimp po'boy will satisfy you.
