Wonderful, neighborhood magic. The hosts are lovely and make you feel welcome. Escargot was delicious, as was the Lobster Ravioli. Creme Brulee , wow!

Lovely place for Valentine's dinner - relaxing & romantic, super-fresh & tasty! We celebrated the day early because of our work schedules, and had dinner here last night based on Yelp reviews.

Do not even look at the restaurant from the street - that view has nothing to do with the quaint and welcoming inside. The front is the kitchen, so if you sit inside, it's like going over to your chef friend's house for dinner. Cool as that is, le patio is even better!  At night, the outside glows with warmth from candles and decorative lights.  All the tables were seated, and yet the noise level only reached a gentle, friendly murmur.  Love that I could actually hear every word my eso was saying!

The rustic and hearty tomato basil soup de jour paired splendidly with the tantalizing aroma wafting from the baked (with just the right amount of crispy-cheesy parts) gratin macaroni - both dishes were fabulous! I'm only saying the following because I'm a mac & cheese maven, honestly, no one else would find fault: had their been a little more sauce and shorter pasta, this dish would have catapulted to the top of my all-time-fave list.

For the mains, we had spinach ravioli and chicken quesadilla.  Both were expertly prepared and proved healthy and comforting are not mutually exclusive. The quesadilla is open face and the ravioli were a scrumptious vehicle by which to enjoy the 'nicoise' sauce.

I am not a wine connoisseur by any stretch of imagination.  However, the house chardonnay was exactly as described in the menu, and really did have "layers of honey and butter that lingered". A perfect compliment to my meal.

Le Paio is a wonderful restaurant for a special evening. The extremely reasonable prices make it even better. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu. Cheers!

Absolutely you must try this!  We'll be back whenever we're in town.  This little gem is not to be missed.

INTERESTING - We felt like we were invited to some friends' house to have dinner on their back patio. The food, service, and atmosphere all seemed amateur -- not bad, but not professional either. Go, and appreciate it for what it is, because you can't compare it to any corporate restaurant.

What a gem!   We had a lovely meal on a quiet Thursday night.    We had the special pea soup and lobster ravioli.    The garden in the back is precious and an absolute must!

My wife and I, together with our son and DIL found this cute little restaurant on Yelp. It was a Monday night so the place was a little quiet with only 2 other diners in the rear covered patio area. The area can be a little dimly lit, which makes it ideal for romantic couples and flashlights are provided to browse the menus. The owners were very precise in describing the menu items, including all the added ingredients. I started with the baked brie appetizer which was delicious. I then ordered the lobster ravioli entree, which was equally delicious. I finished my dinner with the wonderful creme brulee, with the top being flamed at tableside. My meal was accompanied by a glass of the crisp pinot grigio.  My wife had the shepherd's pie and my son had the lasagne and both commented on how good the food was. The restaurant is a little hard to find if you are a visitor, but we had no problem finding it with our GPS.

After reading reviews posted here, i was intrigued. Went for lunch with a friend who is a constant traveller/restaurant goer. The quaintness was quite quaint, yes, even cozy.Translation; Small, tight... The owner ladies/chef/servers seemed nice enough. When possible, its my intention to support the local smaller scale places where the owners are sometimes more personable and take pride in their offerings. Guess I was expecting something more "Julia Child-esque," so I wasn't very impressed here. The portions were very small. I had the shepard's pie.I haven't had good shepard's pie in quite a while and was looking forward to the meal. It was "quaintly lonely" on the plate and the veggies in the pie were probably frozen, not fresh(squared carrots, and peas). Also was disappointed to have to pay for EACH cup of coffee during my meal.  Friend's meal, similar. Soups, um, ok but nothing to write home about. Prices were not reasonable, not a good value. Parking was a hassle. We got an overtime parking meter ticket as well, $22! Won't be returning here. there are hunnnnndreds of restaurants in the FTL area. Why bother...

Coming back from Miami with my bf we stopped at this place && completely fell in love with it! It's a small cozy place but very clean && great service. The food went far beyond any and all expectations. The pictures on the walls were half naked looking rugby players which was amusing as well. The Lobster Ravioli and baked brie made it definitely worth while. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true gem of a restraunt.

My friends were there on Saturday night for her birthday dinner, and she said it was terrible.  The owners had bad attitudes and the food was not even average.  They were very disappointed and what a shame as they have been in the restaurant business and love to try new restaurants, as we do.  They will not be returning and they will not be recommending this place.    Perhaps the owners need to change up their attitudes as it seems to be a reoccurring theme.

We went to this place last night.  Had an 8:00pm reservation and arrived 15 minutes early.  Figured we would sit at the bar until our scheduled time but the owner brought us right to a romantic table outside.  The atmosphere was incredible as was the service.  We ordered the baked brie for an app which was wonderful.  My date had a glass of wine which she enjoyed very much.  On to the main course.....I ordered the Sheppard's Pie...simply fantastic.  Large portion and very, very tasty.  My date had the escargot entree.  She let me try it and I must say...it was the best escargot I've ever had.  She loved it!  By the time the check came, we were the only customers left and closed the place.  We chatted with the owners who were very personable and seemed genuinely happy that we enjoyed our visit.  Parking is a bit of a challenge which was proven by the ticket I had on my windshield when we got to the car.  No problem......it was worth it!

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderfully romantic dinner on the patio at Le Patio this past Thursday night. As other Yelpers have written, the food was delicious and the chef/owners and decor were charming and welcoming. We had two of the appetizers they were featuring: a rustic pate de compagne (made with pork and duck) that was one of the best that I've had in a US French restaurant, and which transported my bf back to Brittany, where he once lived for 6 months. The small roasted peppers stuffed with herbed goat cheese were so yummy that we are going to try to replicate them at home this week-  simply wonderful. For entrees, the lobster ravioli was rich and succulent; I think the white cream sauce included some vermouth, which went beautifully with the lobster flavor. The lasagna was very tasty, with bubbling and crispy cheeses and a red sauce that was distinctive and slightly sweet, with ground beef and a bechamel with a bit of nutmeg layered in. For dessert, we had two "crumbles," preferring the peach with a bit of raspberry sauce over the pear with chocolate, but that's just a matter of taste (and texture, the peaches were softer and juicier). We spent some time chatting with both of the owners and feel that we've made new friends in our community. We will be going back and plan to bring friends & family when they visit from out of town!

What a wonderful find (we had help from friends) and just what we've been looking for. A cozy setting, not too expensive, tastefully decorated, with tasty, hearty food.

Seven to eight tables keeps it cozy, but you may have to wait, or return another time if too busy, reservations are accepted. Don't expect to rush through your meal, the two owners are European, where dining is the event, rather than one of the evening's stops.

I found too many choices on the menu, but settled on French onion soup and manicotti, allowing me to plan my return. The food is excellent, with nuanced flavors, catering to a sophisticated palate. Don't expect manicotti where the dominant ingredient is cheese, or your mother's tomato sauce, yet the portions are appropriate and beautifully presented. Wine list is succinct, yet varied, we chose vin de la maison and were very pleased.

If it's a romantic "live-to-eat" night, this is the place. We'll see you there.

Soooo good! I'm a straight girl who went to dinner with two gays and a lesbian, and we were all welcomed. We had the lasagna, lobster pasta, spinach ravioli, and shrimp parisienne, the house Pinot Noir and Merlot, and creme bruleé for dessert...all delish. The sauce for the lasagna is LOADED with fresh rosemary, and it's divine! Sweet lesbian couple (one French, one Irish) who cook/run the joint, really nice decor, intimate setting (jam packed, probably 15 peopl). PERFECT FIRST DATE, gay OR straight.

Exactly what we like. My wife and I love the small, cozy, great atmosphere, home cooked foods and personal service types of restaurants. We live close by, in Victoria Park, and know this will be a new favorite. We ate quite a bit: starters- foie gras (great), baked brie (great), escargot (very good).  Entree- lasagna (good but not great), Shepard's pie (very good). We had the Pinot Noir (great). For desert the Creme brûlée (heavenly). We highly suggest this place (if you didn't figure that out already)...

After my previous review, the following comment was left on it from who I assume is the owner of this restaurant:

"The only words people regret more then the ones left unsaid, are the ones they use to intentionally hurt someone...I'm saddend by your review, and incidently, I dont remember serving you...or clearing away uneaten food...I think you are right you did miss something.Sorry."

As I understand it, Yelp is used to share with others your personal experiences at different businesses so people can make informed decisions on where to go. I do not try to "intentionally hurt someone" with my reviews. I just try to honestly share my personal experience. Secondly, if this review really saddened the owner, it would have been wise to try and have me want to come back for a better experience instead of pushing me further away from wanting to come back to this restaurant. The owner telling me she doesn't remember clearing uneaten food from my table implies that I was in some way lying - that I actually liked the food, but gave it a bad review anyway. In fact, when the chef/waitress took the uneaten food from our table she asked "Weren't you hungry?" So please don't imply that I would just leave a bad review for no reason. I have no reason to endorse or denounce any organization other than based on my experience there.

I only share this because it has pushed me further away from recommending this restaurant or trying it ever again. It's obvious that plenty of folks enjoy this place and the word of mouth must be good, so I'm not sure why attacking someone who did not have a good experience would even be necessary for this owner.

I would like to thank my fellow yelpers for giving a good review to this little restaurant. It is hard to find but it was well worth it.
Yes the food takes a while but I dont mind waiting as long as it is good and it was. I ordered the escargots and they were awesome. The ambiance of this restaurant is so quaint that it makes you forget that you are in somewhat a busy city. The owners are the servers so pretty much that tells you that they are hardworker people.
The funny thing was that they asked how I found out about this restaurant, I mentioned YELP and they didnt know about it. They keep telling them that people are coming back because of YELP reviews and yet they keep working hard.
    Thank you YELPERS!!!!

OMG - Discovering places like Le Patio is the reason why I joined Yelp. What a gem... This tiny little was beyond any expectation,  Mind you, when I say 'tiny', I mean tiny:  5 tables in the patio area and 3 seats at the counter.

As this was our first visit, we had the staples: house wine, baked brie, lasagna and shepherds pie.  And they did not disappoint.  The house wine we chose, a pinot noir was surprisingly good: crisp, well defined body, clean finish. The baked brie was very different, no crust, no phyllo pastry. It was oven-baked in a tiny dutch-oven looking container, with tomatoes and pesto sauce. As for the shepherds pie and the lasagna, they were to die for. Surprising twist on the lasagna: lots of mushrooms. And the tomato sauce was perfect. The shepherds pie had a strong, savory gravy-ish taste.

We had no room for dessert, but we are definitely going back and trying every single thing on the menu.

Awesome! Friendly, cute and excellent food. We went for lunch on a Saturday. The food is excellent and varied, European inspired modest portions.
Small  little inside and patio which are casual and appropriate for couples or small groups.  The decor includes more liberal European attitudes so don't go if you are uncomfortable with a little diversity. Oh yes and nice wines as well.

Don't be fooled by the front of this gem of a French restaurant in Wilton Manors.
    Inside it's charming!
My partner and I had dinner here on the Saturday night after Thanks Giving. We both greatly enjoyed the experience. My partner said the patio had a very authentic Provence ambience, as he's been there on his travels.
We found the owners to be charming hosts, and could tell the other diners were enjoying themselves, and the food.
We had the baked Brie, to start then pasta dishes for our mains.
    Everything was fresh and delicious!
Creme  brûlée was torched at the table for us. An excellent way to end a wonderful meal. The Pinot grigro was extremely nice also.
Make sure to call the ladies for a reservation, as they are usually busy!
Thank you ladies for the best meal of our 6 day vacation in Fort Lauderdale. We'll be back next time.

I went to Le Patio based on Yelp reviews and a recommendation from my hotel manager (who I also happened to see while I was there).  As the prior reviews all mention, this is a very small place, has 10 total seats on the patio.  I had the brie appetizer and the lasagna entree.  The food was delicious, service was ok since she is also one of the owners and one of the cooks, but the evening was very good and relaxing.  The 4 & 5 star reviews are an accurate description of what you will get.

I'm definitely a fan of this little, and I really do mean little Frenchie type, sort of bistro like restaurant. Vero does the cooking and she really is a great cook coming up with delicious foods and constantly changing items. She has a partner, Jean, and that is it; a mere two person operation. How Vero manages to cook in the little tiny kitchen, smaller than found in most studio size apartments, I'll never know, but she does it and she does it to a high degree of perfection.

There are only a couple of indoor tables, maybe seating a total of four and in the back patio area it would be a push to serve more than ten.

Because of it being a two person operation, this is not the place to go if you are in a rush. But if you are not in a rush, the wait time is definitely worth the wait for the food. It is distinctively French in origin, but has a unique, creativeness about it making it somewhat different from anything I've had in France, which I find to be very much to their credit.

And yes, it being located in Wilton Manor, most of the customers are gay but this is a "We Are One People" place so everyone is welcome and everyone, gay straight or otherwise all fit in and are all treated with equal respect.

I took my wife here for her birthday. At first it was a bit strange.  The restaurant is quite literally a small (tiny) patio in what looks like a converted duplex.  The decor is still very nice, with vintage items placed throughout to give you the french look and feel.

The food was SPECTACULAR.  We started with the mac and cheese.  It's large so be ready to share.  Then my wife had the lasagna and claims that it's the best she ever had, anywhere.  I had the lobster ravioli and it was also very very...it was excellent.  We finished off the night with the creme brulee; it lived up to expectations.

The service was good but slow, it's my only complaint.  Also, parking is a pain but not their fault.  Overall, highly recommended.

So, I was interested in trying this place and I went to have a look.  The owner was so rude to us that I left stunned.  We were dressed nicely and were interested in having drinks and appetizers.  When we walked in, we saw a little table outside but we wanted to see the patio.  She said "no, you can't go take a look because we have customers!  Everyone wants to look and why don't you come back when there aren't as many people." The place wasn't even crowded!  What nerve! I enjoy dining out and have the money to do it regularly but Le Patio will not be getting even a thin dime of mine!  Screw them!

A hidden gem in Wilton Manors!  Chef Vero and partner Jean have created a fun, eclectic eatery that will leave you satisfied without putting a huge dent in your pocketbook.  The menu is small, but there's a little something for everyone.

My favorite starter is the baked brie with pesto and tomatoes, not on the regular menu but has been available the two times I have been there.  The french onion soup is great, and the tomatoes a la provencale are a nice light choice.

The entree sized salads are piled high, so split one with a friend if you're planning on getting one of the main dishes. The goat's cheese salad with chevre smeared on toasted bread is a standout salad.

Entrees are satisfying portions, and daily specials help mix it up a little.  The lasagna is a winner, with just the right combination of meat, cheese, and a light bechamel swirled between tender pasta.  The lobster ravioli is a total win, and the shepherd's pie (a nod to Jean's Irish roots) is over the top comfort food at it's best.

Desserts are simple and homey, with both a pear crumble or peach crumble as mainstays.  Definitely grab the creme brulee if it's available!

The St. Genevieve house wine is definitely a great accompaniment to all of the foods served, and there is a selection of more upscale wines if you're so inclined.

This is a great little restaurant to lose yourself in for a while!  The girls are gracious hosts, the decor is fun, the music is eclectic and you never feel rushed.  If you're looking to dash in and dash out, you're missing out on what the restaurant is about...

Had to do a follow up review after our second visit. We had a concert to get to by 7 pm. What other restaurant in town would open 15 minutes early so you could get to a concert in time? The owners were happy to accommodate!
Fixed price Valentine's Day dinner was superb. Loved the way dessert was presented on a piece of slate. Very creative.

We had a most delicious (and romantic) dinner at Le Patio on Jan 15th.  Jean the co-owner who helped us provided good advice on food choices.  We were thrilled by their baked brie appetizer.  I had a huge serving of meatloaf and pasta.  My guest enjoyed ravioli with shrimp and scallops.  Generous glass of red wine for each of us was a nice addition.     Great that we live in Fort Lauderdale and can return often!    Charlie.

My friend found out about this place from yelp and we decided to try it for our ladies night and I am so glad we did.  The food was absolutely amazing!  The three of us shared the baked Brie as an appetizer and it was divine.  We ordered a carafe of the Pinot noir and it was great.  I don't eat meat, chicken, or seafood so I got the garden salad and macaroni au gratin and it was to die for.  My friends ordered the pasta bolognaise and lobster pasta and practically licked their plates clean they enjoyed it that much.  Service was great.  Our server was very helpful and sweet and the chef makes the most incredible dishes I've ever tasted.  I will definitely go back there.

What a gem of a place!  Yes - five stars, baby!

Went for the first time last night.  It's small and in a tucked-away spot - one of those 'you got know it's there' kind of places that the locals love.  A french theme, but really an eclectic menu with something for everyone.  I was feeling light, so when with the blue cheese and bacon entree salad.  Very fresh and interesting.  The service was excellent - looks like two women own the place and do everything themselves; cooking and serving.  A very relaxed atmosphere where you are comfortable to take your time and enjoy conversation with your dinner guests.

Looks like in high season (winter), you probably want to make reservations for dinner on weekend nights.

Now that I know it's there, I'll definitely be back!

YES!  What a great friendly place.  Good food.  The women working there really haul a** in the kitchen and on the floor, I was impressed they served a full house and everybody seemed thrilled with what they ate.  I'll go back again.  Reasonably priced for the quality and the location.  "Serious comfort food."  I had the lobster & spinach ravioli, it was great.

Very quaint but very great! This tiny little place is owned by two women who care so much about the food and their restaurant. No frills about the wine list or menu but trust me, you could order any of the entrees and you'll enjoy. I highly, highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had. I also tried the Lasagna which was also amazing, and a garden salad, also very good. I can't speak for having a salad as an entree but you'll be missing out if this is the route you choose. If you're picky, this may not be the place for you, but if enjoy great food, you need to try this place!

Went here tonight for  dinner with my sister and her bf. Neither of us ever been here but we tried it based on Yelp reviews.

For all the whiny complainers who have reviewed this place, service might be "slow" but when service is "slow" it only means the meal was well-planned, thought out, and undeniably delicious. If you want "fast" service, go to the local fast food joint!!!

I would definitely go back here!!!!

I am picky, I am a somewhat snob. I can say the food supersedes anything else!!

First, parking. If you blink, you will miss it. Parking is tricky so just run in the restaurant and ask where you can park.  Go early. There arent many tables but there is outside and inside seating. We got there around 7:30 and left at 10pm. The menu is a 4"x 6" card but there are specials. This is "bistro"/"comfort" food. Lots of pasta dishes. It is simple, It is understated.

The wine is all from California. Not one who ventures outside of French wines, I found their choice sauvignon blanc wine crisp and fresh. The special goat cheese dish was impeccable. The tomato provencale tasty! The goat cheese salad amazing and my lobster ravioli to-die-for!!!! None of us were disappointed in the food or wine.

I could have sat outside forever. It is cute. It is simple. The two ladies who run this place are nice as pie. The music is fun too. Heard everything from The Verve to George Michael to random techno songs.

This is NOT a French bistro. At least not by what we Americans consider a French bistro. Get over that. They serve delicious French food or French-style food. The owners are French and at least one of them is a damned great cook.

The place was obviously put together on a tight budget. The lunch menu is limited. As many items as can fit on one side of a standard postcard. I have a feeling that the menu doesn't change for dinner, which would be fine.

The ravioli with seafood in a cream sauce is great as is the shepherd's pie. Just good home cooking. I wish they would serve a crust of bread with the seafood ravioli to sop up the sauce.

They can accommodate maybe 16-18 people at at time. The chairs and tables are not very comfortable and the back patio, which is the main dining room, is small and they allow smoking out there. Not a good thing...and probably the reason I would not go there for dinner, ever.

The service is painfully slow. Mostly because every dish requires the attention of the cook who is also the waiter and the manager and sommelier, at least at lunchtime. Not a place to go to when you're in a hurry.

With all its drawbacks, I liked the place and I loved the food.

This place was pretty darn cute.  I know it's suppose to be a "french bistro" affair but reminds me of the cute family restaurants in Crete with the lone chef and a few tables.  Ladies were charming and I got the whole welcome to our family table vibe.  Food was excellent.  Though the selection is small what they do they do well.  There was a large group of us so we pretty much tried everything on their menu + the specials.  There were a few things we didn't like as much as the others but generally speaking we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was great.  No rushing, very relaxed, service was great considering only the 2 gals.  Would definitely return and bring friends.

New french bistro-styled cafe.  Very small, very casual.  Food is moderately priced.  Menu is pretty large for such a small place.

Also doubles a wine bar - yay!  Oh, and the have fresh french onion soup everyday - and it's good!  The staff are friendly and quick.  Indoor and outdoor seating.

This is my new lunch spot.  Check it out!
