Last Sunday, we had my daughter's bridal shower brunch at L'Hirondelle, and it could not have been more perfect. Â Having made reservations, our table for 12 was waiting with linen table cloths, set and ready for us. Â They could not have been more kind, helpful and attentive. Â We had patio warmers set for us initially to break the chill, then umbrellas raised as it got warmer. Â We felt no rush to finish, and actually stayed for four hours because it was such a nice atmosphere. Â The food was amazingly delicious from the appetizers, to the great variety of brunch menu items and the desserts. Â A really "good deal" was to add on free flow champagne and soup or salad for just $10 more p/p. Â Thanks for a great time!
Review Source:We've enjoyed dinner here before, this was our first time at brunch. A good live guitarist was performing on the patio at a conversational volume (i.e., you can both hold a conversation and enjoy the music). Service excellent as always.
We love their pate maison! Even if you're a "liver hater" who normally chases any pâté with gulps of alcohol, try this one, okay? It just might convert you.
My husband inhaled their excellent sole, a special today. I had the duck salad, which is a duck confit NOT swimming in a rich sauce, and served next to a delicious salad. Regarding duck: these just might be the only chefs in Orange County who really get duck. I order it rare. It's always perfectly seared outside and tender and flavorful inside. No sauce is required to add moisture to this duck.
For dessert, we ordered creme brûlée, BUT the L'Hirondelle difference is this: extra thick and crunchy caramelized crust. Some places make theirs quite thin. We're ready to go back for dinner, but probably another day. Great brunch food + generous champagne refills = nap time!
Small and Rustic looking restaurant.  Service was ok.  Our dinner was enjoyable.  Filet Mignon was just perfect and tender and scallops were enjoyed.  Creme brule for desert was very good also.  What I personally  didn't
care for was the dill dressing on the salad....it seemed a bit harsh. Â Also they do NOT have a FULL BAR. Â Only wine and beer. Â Someone needs to change the yelp page. Â I was disappointed as I wanted a Martini........overall a four in my book.
Love this charming little French Bistro!
This restaurant was right next to the parking lot across the Mission San Juan. Â We passed by it and smelled the aroma! Â Of course, we came back and were seated in their cute little garden patio with a water fountain for ambiance. Â It didn't mask the sound of the train that comes every 30 minutes. Â My little cutie pie thought it was cool to have train tracks right behind the building. Â
Our very pleasant server, was also the owner! Â What a charming man! Â I ordered Grilled Salmon sandwich topped with melted brie and capers. Â I love the crunchy thinly sliced onions too. Â I shared that with my little cutie pie. Â It was a pretty good size and I really didn't want the whole thing to sit in my stomach on our 6.5 hours drive home. Â My son ate all of his share and most of the garlic fries...it was perfect. Â I guess that is why they call it French Fries...duh. Â My handsome hubby...I know, eating French food always make me say "Je suis amoureuse" to him...I can't share what Latin music does to me. Â
Hubby had the Kobe burger and so did my FIL. Â They were delicious too! Â The French bread was flaky on the outside and soft pillowy on the inside. Â I want to order a dozen of these things to take back home. Â I was afraid I'd eat it all on our way home, so I didn't!
We'd be coming here quite often if we lived here in town!
We have not been here in years...probably since the original owners, but we were visiting Southern California and since we were in the area, we decided to try out the L'Hirondelle for a late lunch.  We were so glad we did.  It was a true pleasure to re-discover this place.  The quality and charm has not changed and it still has delicious gourmet food.  It is a place to savour, slow dine and relax with yummy glass of wine or  a Belgian beer.  A truly fabulous place.  I love sitting in the patio area!
Review Source:We went there for dinner on Saturday night. The portions are quite large so I opted for the petite plate. I had the petite filet mignon with roasted red potatoes. It was pure heaven. My filet was quite large so I can't imagine how large the regular entree filet would have been! The bearnaise sauce and artichoke hearts were not overbearing for the dish. I also order the side house salad which was just so-so - nothing to it. My dinner companions both had the petite plate with the 1/2 rack of lamb - it was also delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. I will be back!!!!!
Review Source:Came here on a weekday evening to celebrate our anniversary. Â First off, the entrance to the restaurant is a little weird. You feel like you've walked into someone's house by accident. Â You walk in to a little living room with a fireplace on the left and a sitting area. Then on your right, there is a bathroom door. In front, sits a hostess podium....but no hostess. So we stood there for a few minutes. Â Then other patrons entered and just sat themselves down, so we followed and did the same. Â
This restaurant is very quaint and cozy. Â Maybe can hold 25-30 people at most, I'm guessing. Service is slow, even though it wasn't busy. Â I only saw one bus person and one server.
For appetizers, we had pate, escargot, and the salad that came with my husband's entree. Â They served crusty warm rolls with butter that are addicting.
Pate: Â I really liked it, even though I HATE liver. Â I can detect liver in any dish, no matter how much you try to hide it. But I was forced to be adventurous and not be a kill joy. It was tasty. Especially on crisp crackers with fresh tomato and cucumber slices to nibble on. Â And it came with these little pickles that were a great sour contrast to the creamy pate.
Escargot: Not to my liking. My husband said they were decent, but I couldn't get over the size and texture of it. I've had tiny snails that were shelled, then sauteed in basil and other spices. Â They were chewy in texture like squid. Â But these snails were creamy and had no texture. Â I did not care for them.
Salad: Standard fancy mix of lettuce and dressing.
For dinner I had duck breast in orange sauce with creamy mashed potatoes. Â It was cooked medium rare and was so rich and delicious. Â My husband had the swordfish which was the special of the evening. Â It was atop a huge serving of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Â I think it was a caper sauce. Â It was decent, but I enjoyed the duck breast more.
I haven't had much experience with french food, but this quaint little restaurant was a great place to have our anniversary dinner.
This place is a treat. Â It's expensive, but the food is worth it and you always have plenty.
I've been going here for over a dozen years. Â My choices are the duck, rabbit, and pate (please try the pate at least once). Â That said, I've loved everything I've had there. Â The mashed potatoes are my favorite anywhere. Â I'm sure they're half butter and cream. Â Do it.
The place is charming and odd. Â We've had a tour of the kitchen and the owners are lovely.
I wandered into L'Hirondelle a week ago looking for a quiet spot to have a good lunch. In perusing the menu I spotted a curried chicken salad sandwich, which was exactly whtat my stomach was looking for. I sat down in the charming patio area and my waitress very promptly took my order.
The food arrived so beautifully arranged I was almost unhappy to eat it. My sandwich (on a crisp, delicious baguette) came with a beautiful bowl of mixed berries and melon, and a pile of perfectly seasoned garlic fries, for which no condiment was necessary. To put ketchup on such delicious morsels would be an insult. The fruit was fresh and sweet. My sandwich, although I devoured every morsel, was nearly disappointing. Although seasoned deliciously with curry and alternately crunchy and sweet with the celery and raisins, there was a lack of flavor - it needed salt, and onion powder, desperately.
What really takes the cake with this place is the ambiance. I sat with the sun on my back, shaded by an umbrella, with a lazy cool breeze and the Mission bells pealing away behind me. Some soothing French ballad or other filtered through the eaves, and as I sat there enjoying my after-lunch coffee and F. Scott Fitzgerald's company I was completely transported.
For dessert I had the Belgian torte doused in berry sauce, which was clearly a mortal sin because nothing so delicious could be beneficial to the state of my soul.
I took one star off because I was sincerely disappointed with the lack of flavor in the sandwich, but really I had such a transcendentally glorious time I would go and order the same thing expecting to be disappointed and still be entirely happy.
Ate here very often in years gone by (30 years) Â and aside from one or two visits just sort of slipped out of the habit. Â
Recently I have been back with a group of people to celebrate a friends birthday and made a mental note to repeat often. Â The food was amazing and HUGE helpings. Â Service was superb. Â Since that visit we have returned twice for lunch on the patio and both visits were a huge success. I love their pate/brie plate with fresh french rolls and my husband had a buffalo burger which he raved about. The ambience is wonderful, both on the patio and indoors and the owner and staff are very hands on.
Today was my third trip to L'Hirondelle. Â The first time was for Sunday Brunch on the patio and it was simply delightful. Â The day was beautiful and live music added to the ambiance. Â I had the beef bourguingnon and my friend had eggs benedict. Â Both were delicious. Â The beef bourguingnon was so good that I've ordered it every time I've been there. Â My second trip was for lunch on the patio with another friend a few months later. Â She had the salmon salad which she enjoyed. Â Today I tried eating inside which was quite pleasant. Â The food was good as always. Â My companion had the duck salad with rave reviews.
The attention to service has always been top-notch. Â Every time I've been there the owner has always stopped by the table at least once, and water and beverage glasses are always being topped off. Â It's a little pricey for lunch, but great for special occasions (otherwise I'd give it 5 stars). Â My friend disagrees, saying she would give it five stars and thought the price was right considering how much duck was on her salad. Â I look forward to returning and trying something else.
I came here with my wife found on Saturday on spending the day in san Juan Capistrano. I've been wanting to eat at this place for a while now. We were seated quickly on the patio and given the menu. Our host/waiter speaks french as he grew up in Switzerland as I found out. It was cool as we both had the opportunity to converse in French. We ordered the maison pate which was great. It was creamy and perfect with the crackers and cornichons. My wife ordered the sole fish and I ordered the chicken sandwich in a baguette with cheese. For dessert we ordered the crepe with mixed berries. The service was excellent throughout our entire meal. They were quick to refill your water and bread. Will definitely come back in the near future.
Review Source:A rainy night, a fire in the fireplace, quiet & warm ambience, quaint French music, very attentive staff, Â an excellent wine selection, a diverse and mouth watering menu...what more could one ask for? Â An awesome meal? Â You got it! Â Or at least we did tonight. Â This was a cut above the meal we enjoyed last night at Sundried Tomato, but it was also more expensive. But the flavors, oh the flavors AND presentation.
Ali our waiter (or was he the owner?) was very helpful, attentive and enjoyable.
Specifics of the evening: Tasty French baguettes with fresh butter, the salad greens were crisp, flavorful with a delicious house dressing (Ali says it has 13 ingredients) and the French onion soup... Piping hot, flavorful, lots of cheese, blended with a perfect amount of Sherry...and it paired so perfectly with our Picket Fence Pinot Noir.
My wife chose the Salmon with a dill sauce.  Great flavor although it was a touch over cooked for her.  I chose the nightly special of Chicken Cordon Bleu...one on my all time favorite dishes.  It was soooo  good. Tender chicken and ham with lots of cheese and a tasty sauce. Veggies were crisp and cooked perfectly. The potatoes light and fluffy with a taste of clove.  Delicious! (and NOT the powder starch based that you mix with hot water that a previous review stated)
The evening was capped with a delightful Creme Brûlée.  It doesn't get much better.  This was a 5 star night.
Took my girlfriend here on a Saturday. She had duck with mashed potatoes and I Â had Filet mignon.
Interior of this place is very cozy and staff are friendly and attentive. What brings it all down was the fact that the mashed potato served with my girlfriends duck was the powder starch based that you mix with hot water.
If you enjoy a homey, Country-French atmosphere, this is the place for you. Â You'll feel like you've breezed into a French inn. Â The night we went, it was raining and there was an inviting fire in the fireplace and comfy chairs to enjoy it while waiting for a table. Â My husband ordered the steak au poivre (I stole a couple bites), which was perfectly prepared. Â Not too much pepper in the back of the throat and not overly creamy. Â I ordered the beef bourguignon, which satisfied my craving for comfort food, but honestly, wasn't as good as the steak. Â We also ordered the onion soup. Â The soup is every bit as delicious you'd expect it to be and as WE wanted it to be, i.e. fattening. Â
To accompany dinner, our server recommended her favorite Cabernet that was under $40 (New World) and it was excellent.
Overall, the meals and service were very good and we will return. Â Please note that this is not a "fancy" French restaurant, so if you're thinking Paris Sophisticate, head over to Pascal. Â L'Hirondelle is not for you.
I wasn't expecting a 5 star when I walked into the restaurant. We sat outside in their lovely patio area embraced with brightly colored umbrellas, sprinkled with lights weaved throughout the space that gave it a romantic and enchanting feel and a charming water fountain completing the yin/yang theme.. I chose the place because they are dog friendly and the local talk was that they had a killer sweetbread dish.
The menu is 2 pages, although a very broad selection of all the favorites, salmon, steaks, pastas, chicken, lamb, shellfish etc... Â All the dishes come with a soup or salad and bread. The french bread was excellent and the butter that accompanied the bread was even better. It reminded me of Irish Butter. The house salad was a dill infused creamy dressing on top a crisp romaine salad with cucumbers and baby yellow and red (room temp- the only way to serve them) tomatoes.
The french onion soup was very dense and thick. Very good for the first 7 bites, then it became a bit too salty, almost like sauce you would put over steak.
The lamb bucco was very tender and wonderful. All-dente vegetables, carrots, beans, yellow beets, zucchini and a finely milled mash potato with a touch of some flavor I still can't put my finger on...maybe a cheese infused in the potatoes.
The sweetbreads were good. I can't comment much on the dish since it was my second time eating them. I can say that they are very filling and fatty, in a good way.
Overall, a great meal and an excellent experience. The wait staff was prompt and attentive. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.
Really enjoyed lunch here except for a few minutes around 12:30PM when the mission was ringing the church bell for daily mass. Â They literally rang it for minutes--plural! Â I felt like I was in repeating 2 second clip of a Gong Show re-run...you can guess which 2 seconds--and I'm not even old enough to remember the Gong show!
Review Source:We had lunch here. Â Ordered the French Onion soup, Garlic Fries and Duck Breast Salad. Â The soup was divine and wonderful. Â The garlic fries were pretty good too. Â But the most expensive salad dish w/ the duck was bland and the duck was suppose to be medium rare but came out super cooked well. Â It was so hard to chew I almost choked on it. Â And the flavors were kind of like a wet dog. Â I'm an avid eater of duck so this was really off putting for me. Â
We ate outside in the patio as well and things kept falling from the trees into our food! Â The location was great since it was right across from the Mission. Â Unfortunately we didn't experience in the indoor dinner dining. Â Not sure if we would try it again.
A hidden gem in downtown San Juan Capistrano. Â This restaurant is right on Camino Capistrano near the Mission and has an awesome outdoor patio. Â The food is so flavorful on the gourmet side without being too fussy.
We always have the duck breast salad, which is perfectly prepared...moist and not overdone with the perfect crispy skin pared with a freshly made dressing not out of a bottle.
Perfect date night location.
This review is a year late, but I did want to say if you are seeking classic french cuisine this is not the place. Â I was really looking forward to eating here. Â We came for dinner... I had the duck entree and he had the lamb. Â We both felt the dishes were overpriced for the subpar quality of the food.
Review Source:i hate to be the one person that gives this place a bad review, but i really had a bad dinner experience here. i mean, the best thing about this place is that its located in a cute part of sjc, but other than that, there are no other redeeming qualities about this place.
1. there is a sign at the entrance to the patio that says, for patio dining, see front desk to be seated. no one to be seen at the front desk. rang the bell that was there. wait literally 5 minutes until someone came up. then they said if you want to dine on the patio, just walk out there and someone will seat you. go out to the patio, no one there. a bus girl see's us and walks right by us without greeting us. she was about to walk by again when we asked her if we could just sit anywhere.
2. after we were seated, a waiter greeted us fairly quickly and started telling us the specials, however in the middle of a sentence, he is interrupted by another guest and starts talking to them for a little while, leaving us hanging. then he returns to us and finishes his speech. after he leaves, the lady that wouldnt seat us at the front comes up and attempts to tell us the specials again.
3. all 3 of the employees we've seen do not contribute at all to the french feeling of a french place. they seemed more like the stereotypical italians from jersey.
4. the tables along the fence are lined by huge cypress trees. kinda cool to block out the street view, but when spiders drop out of them on to my head...not so cool.
5. tables and chairs are cheap plastic. the ground is not flat either causing the table to rock.
6. food is way over priced for what it is. granted you do get a few items on the side, and a soup or salad too, but, i could go for a cheaper dish and leave the soup out.
7. awkward service. its like they knew they were checking up on us too much a few times so they walked up, staring at us like they were going to say something, but then stutter stepped and kept walking by.
8. food was average. to be honest, i would say the food was just a hair above the status of elephant bar or claim jumper. Â we had the opah and filet mignon. $37 for a filet. 1, i'd rather make it myself, and 2 id rather go to ruths or flemmings or mastros.
9. there is a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> gift cert for here so that made it slightly better but still too expensive.
10. ambiance is pretty nice, however, when a freight train blasts its horn 5 times, not so nice. when there are only 7 tables sat in the entire place on a friday night, kinda spooky. especially when those other tables were all senior citizens. when kids bike and skate board by screaming and shouting, kinda ghetto.
not the place for a fancy or romantic dinner. no need to come back.
My family and I went here tonight for my Dad's birthday dinner, and it was absolutely perfect!!
We started out getting the Cheese Plate that is actually on the Dessert menu as an Appetizer. It came with various different cheeses, crackers and fruit. All of which was very good.
For dinner I got the Filet Mignon with Bernaise Sauce and Artichoke Hearts (Picture of it can be found in the Pictures section) and it was FANTASTIC! Cooked to perfection! Along with it came the choice of either Onion Soup, Soup du Jour or Green Salad with House Dressing. I chose the Onion Soup (Picture added) which was perfect as well. I've always been a fan of Onion Soup, and this is by far my favorite Onion Soup I've ever had.
My friend ordered the Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb Served in a Rosemary Sauce with the Green Salad (Pictures of both added) and he absolutely loved his lamb! He said it was the best he'd ever tasted. I tried a bite of his salad, and the house dressing tasted really good. I wish you were able to buy it! Â
Other things ordered between my family was Atlantic Salmon Served in a Creamy Dill Sauce, which I was told was fantastic. As well as the Pepper Steak  which was a New York Cut with Cracked Black Pepper in a Brandy Sauce. My dad thought it was perfect, except too many black pepper's on the steak. I however, had a taste of it and thought it was amazing and loved how many pepper's there were.
I will definitely be visiting here again, and will be ordering the Pepper Steak! It was so delicious!
Service was great too and I highly recommend this place! :)
My husband and I walked into this restaurant at 6pm yesterday evening with a coupon that we weren't sure would work. Â At 6pm, the restaurant was completely empty; we were the first ones there. After clearing our coupon with the young lady running the restaurant (turned out to be the owner's daughter), we sat down and perused the menu. Â The staff was very friendly and prompt with taking our orders and bringing our drinks, and often kept an eye on our bread, our drink levels, and our satisfaction with our meal.
My husband ordered the spinach and bacon salad, the sole meuniere, and the entree side salad. Â I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, the soup du jour (chicken barley), and the porterhouse steak. Â The spinach and bacon salad was tasty, but maybe a little sweet on the dressing (most people like sweet though, so you'll probably love this salad). Â The side salad had a creamy dressing and we both thought it was delicious (I am not a super fan of salad). Â The stuffed mushrooms were great, and the chicken barley soup was good and my husband and I ended up trading the soup and salad back and forth a few times to share.
My husband thought the fish was good. Â I ordered my porterhouse medium rare, and when I first cut into it, I cut into the thinner end and it seemed to be overdone. Â I had a hard time judging in the dim light of the restaurant (they have candles) but as I cut through more of the steak I could see that it was indeed medium rare. Â The steak had a gorgonzola cheese melted on top and some sauteed mushrooms. Â Everything was delicious.
We followed up the meal with a cherries jubilee for two, which was amazing. Â The cherries were cool on the outside due to the ice cream, and warm and bursting with molten cherry centers when you bit into them.
I had a great time, the service was wonderful (I was never wanting anything and they were never stingy with anything). Â It is pricey, but you do get what you pay for: good food and wonderful service.
Parking is free and is behind the restaurant.
4.5 stars :)
rounded up.
This place is super cute. It's small, cozy, and romantic with friendly staff. L'Hirondelle makes a great date spot with it's dim lighting, fireplace, and red roses. Take the ladies here to get in their pants. Just kidding (kind of) Â ;)
Our server was great and very helpful. They serve beer and wine only (booo), but she helped me pick out a couple beers to try. We got the Escargot as an appetizer. It was very tasty. Then, as an entree I ordered the Roasted Duck with Cherry Sauce (you have the option of orange, cherry, or peppercorn sauce) and my boyfriend ordered the Rack of Lamb. Entrees come with choice of soup or salad. I think they always offer French Onion and their Soup de Jour was Curry Duck. I would have gone for the Curry Duck, but I was already getting duck as my entree. We both ended up going for the salad, which was yummy. Their salads come with their own house dressing which is like a cross between a ceasar and thousand island dressing.
The Roasted Duck came out and it was huge. It seemed like a full half duck. It was excellent and I loved the cherry sauce...it was fabulous. I would have to say it was one of my favorite duck dishes to date. My boyfriend's lamb looked good. I didn't try it, but he gave it 4 stars.
I really liked this place. I found it quaint and charming. The only thing I would say is if you're on a diet, this probably isn't a great place to go. Most of the sauces are either cream or butter with only a few exceptions. But, who doesn't like a little cushion for the pushin' anyway? ;)
Excellent french food with a very french atmosphere. Â The restaurant is a little overpriced for the food quality, and the restaurant itself tries for a rustic country french feel (which La Vie En Rose in Brea does better). Â Here it just comes across as slightly dusty.
The food here is classic French, so lots of creams, and butter sauces. Â Breakfast is excellent. Â
Robert
This was a pretty decent French place that had amazing portion sizes. The creme brulee wasn't the best I've ever had but the bread and stuffed mushrooms were excellent. The mashed potatoes were interesting as they had nutmeg in it.
I would go here again but for the money I still prefer Onotria in Costa Mesa which I admit is a "wine country cuisine" and is thus French and Italian.
4.5 stars really
We were staying at the Ritz and decided to check out Stonehill Tavern at the St. Regis. Â When we get there... closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. (the entire place is in foreclosure I hear) Thanks for nothing website!! Well thanks to fellow yelpers of the OC we found this place and it was awesome. Â It is classic french bistro food - Â no nouvelle cuisine here and thank God for it. Â We had the rabbit and the sweetbreads and it was old school all the way with a heavenly sauce and generous portions. Â Split a bottle of wine and voila it's a fraction of prices 5 miles away. The service is homey as mentioned by others and best of all you can wander around the mission after dinner. Â We'll try hard to come back!
This laid back French cafe in the heart of SJC did not disappoint.
The interior is cute, the patio is gorgeous. My waitress was really nice and personable.
The food was verrry good, I was in heaven. I had a marinated beef dish that was to die for. I also had a fabulous creme brulee. The iced tea tastes a bit like it has blueberry in it, which is a plus for me.
All in all, I was very happy with my experience.
I had dinner here a while back. The food was good, the service was great. The escargots  was the best I've had, and I've eaten a lot of escargots :-). My husband never liked them but at this place, he actually ate half of my order and enjoyed them. The entrees were good. The only disappointment we had was the onion soup. Although it was flavorful, the cheese on top was not broil in the oven til it comes out brown and crispy.
Review Source:No way! A French place with big portions! Â The table next to us had a French couple having dinner - definitely a good sign.
I know that this is a silly thing to gripe about but if I'm going to spend over a bill for dinner, I don't want to sit on cheapie plastic seats outside. But I did because it was a nice evening, but please get some new chairs.
Started with stuffed mushroom caps, they were perfectly creamy considering it had both cheese and hollandaise sauce. I am a girl that isn't very fond of mushrooms, but this I can eat every day. Entrées come with soup or salad. House dressing is thick and creamy, would buy a bottle if they had it. Soup of the day was cabbage and kielbasa.  Yummy. Definitely a soup to make in our crock pot.
Our entrees of Roasted Duck (I selected the orange sauce) and Rabbit were surprisingly large in portion. Â Both included tons of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Â I only ate one-third of the duck, since I was already so full and wanted to save room for dessert. The duck was perfectly crispy but the meat was just a tad dry. My husband thought the Rabbit tasted like chicken (he should have asked me first).
Dessert was a berry crepe. We didn't think the crepe was fresh, it was cold - maybe they bought a pack at the market? The crepe is filled with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and tons of berries. I love places that don't berry skimp. Â Coffee has some kick and we can't complain about the service.
I was taken to L'Hirondelle as a pre-Valentine's day surprise and came away very pleased with this quaint little gem of a restaurant. Â What I love about this place is that although it's a French restaurant, it has a great, casual and welcoming atmosphere. Â The servers were excellent and so was the food. We had an all around pleasant experience.
Review Source:Belgian... French... Good stuff
Tried it for lunch and dinner...outside and inside... so far we have enjoyed everything we have eaten... both for business and pleasure.
The pepper crusted steak was prepared to perfection... it really had a crust! And for dessert, the caramel custard melts in your mouth.
Additionally, the service has been fantastic. You are never lacking for anything. I especially enjoyed that when we remarked we really liked the "little pickles" in the salad, the waitress brought us a dish so that everyone at our table could try them! BTW I really like the onion soup... and when it wasn't on the menu, they made it for me.
And in case you were curious... Hirondelle = Swallow... surprise!!!
