Fantastic! My husband and I were searching for a place to eat in Lincoln Park while visiting for the weekend. Lincoln Station was the first place that caught our eye and after checking out the menu outside we decided to give it a try. This bar has great, chill atmosphere and they were playing a really good mix of music from the Beatles to Nirvana. We weren't sure about the quality of the meal we would be served at a bar but we were blown away. We started with the hummus as an appetizer and it was fantastic! Served with veggies and pita bread, it had a slight kick and was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Dilinger burger and my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Both were amazing. It was honestly the best burger I have ever had and it was cooked perfectly medium just the way I ordered. The french fries were the perfect cut, crisp, and saltiness. Also, the customer service here was awesome. They were pretty busy as it was a Friday night but the waitress treated us like we were her only table and she was so friendly. We really had an excellent time here and I can't wait to go back!

Lincoln Station has sponsored our softball team for a few years; so needless to say I have spent many days that turned into nights at this establishment.  Their food is great and the staff are always courteous and accommodating.  I want to especially give a shout out to the management team, specifically Patrick.  He always seems to go out of his way to make customers feel welcome as well as members of the sports teams they sponsor.  This is the go to local spot for great food and drinks with friends without the chainy bar feel.

In response to Benn H.'s comments:

Fellow Yelpers, I wrote my review as honestly as possible. Of course other reviews for LS are consistent, they can't harass everyone that walks through their door, only 'selected few.'

Benn, so you checked the tape and you didn't see your employer come bring a broken cue to my table? You don't see him confronting our table and harassing us?
What type of half-ass explanation could your workers have given to convince you? You should've checked the tape before you accused us of breaking your crap.

Your employee told you they didn't threaten us with calling the police? And for what? For being insulted by your harassment?!? You have video proof that we did ANYTHING to have your bartender harass us?

Did you tap your phones and listen to the conversation I had with Adam/Patrick?

Benn, be honest with whom exactly your are asking to visit your establishment and save other people you don't tolerate of the indignities you have to offer them.

    I do have constructive criticism:
Your establishment acted incorrectly, own up to it. I could understand if we were belligerent, rowdy or lewd, but we weren't, YOU were. Move forward by changing your policies to not tolerate such boorish behavior towards your patrons.

I still don't understand how you can defend that bartender, unless he was just following policy. You tell me.

Lincoln Station sponsored my summer softball league, "The Sunshine Squad",  2 years in a row. My teammates and I were regulars in the bar virtually every week and we'd hang out for hours on end talking, playing pool and watching sports.

The food is definitely a cut above your average bar food. You've got to try the hummus, the cheese fries and the skillet cookie. Also, their  pitcher specials are pretty high quality beers, not just cheap Miller Lite. You won't be disappointed.

The waiters and especially the manager, Patrick, always made me and my team feel at home. He would regularly come over to chat with us, and would sometimes even serve our drinks himself.  I've lived in Chicago for 4 years; I've been to hipster bars, dive bars, hotel bars...virtually every kind of bar you could imagine wanting to go to in every corner of the city. However, even though I live downtown, Lincoln Station continues to be the bar I return to, because it's the only one I feel most comfortable in.

I must admit, I'm writing because I could not believe the scathing review another Yelper gave this place. Given the genuine kindness that has been extended to me in this place, I couldn't allow it without putting in my two cents. Further, being a "person of color" and growing up/going to school all over the country in diverse and homogenous areas, I'm highly adept at recognizing the telltale signs of bigotry in anyone. I cannot fathom how anyone could associate any employee in this place with such depravity. They're just good people, and I don't think its right.

Overall, Lincoln Station=Great Bar, Great Food, Great People. Give this place a chance and you won't be disappointed.

I really liked this place.   We stopped for lunch, and had a burger, and a 'stuffed spud'  Both things were terrific.  The burger came with a huge pile of fries that I could not stop eating.  My wife had the 'chicken teriyaki poatato'   It was a very large baked potato stuffed with chicken, mushrooms, and teriyaki sauce.  It was covered with melted cheese.  It was awesome!  There were a bunch of tv's, and what appeared to be pool tables in the other room.  Our server appeared to be waiting on the whole place, but was freindly and attentive.  I will definitely be back at night for more spuds, and to have a few of what appeared to be an extensive draft beer selection.

What can I say besides this is a great neighborhood bar. My friends and I go for the Bills games every Sunday and it is an excellent time. Great drink specials ($2.50 mimosas and Labatt Blue Light bottles). Good food and great bartenders! We always have a great time!

This place is great, but couldn't bring myself to give it 4 stars.

$5 tequila shots will get me into any bar, and this one just so happened to be better than most other bars that are in that price range. They've got tons of tv's for the sports fanatics, a door that fakes all the newbie's out and great window panes so you can watch people struggle only to realize they have to go to the OTHER door, and decent bar food. Great place to hang out with friends and throw back a drink, or five.

Nothing bad, but nothing special is pretty much how I felt after stopping in at Lincoln Station on a Saturday night.  They have a decent list of beers on tap, but none of the options really wowed me.  We didn't eat, but the food looked like your typical bar fare.  Service was spotty but they do have some large TVs that would be great to catch a game on.  Overall, just your typical forgettable bar.

This really is a 3.5  but opted for the benefit of the doubt.

The daily specials on food are normally what I go for. I live right around the corner and during the week cheap eats get my attention. I have been here plenty of times, but had to laugh when I was carded today. Good for them for following the rules - but come on. I am balding and had a grey 3 day old beard.

Cutting to the chase; this place has above average bar food, and a decent beer selection. Only place on Lincoln that offers pool and the staff is always nice. Had the luxury of sitting outside on a perfect summer evening. Today my buddy and I had  the wings special for .40 cents and that is well worth it. Had the sliders last time and they are only a buck... you get the point. Not sure many joints in town offer these great of prices for food that is above average (not knock it out of the park food - but for the price - it is really tough to complain.)

A-ok bar food. A Dillinger burger on the day of his death, across the street from where he was killed. Large size, plentiful fries.

Nice enough staff. Go for drinks, not food.

Lincoln Station is a solid 3.5 for me. Where I deduct from them is just having pint glasses when they have a diverse beer list. It seems like they are aiming at a knowledgeable beer crowd, so it was a little frustrating only drinking from pint glasses when I ordered a pilsner and a saison.

Anyway, I dug the general vibe here. I was in the front area in the late afternoon, so around happy hour time. It was far from crowded but I can see how it would be later at night. Cool vibe on the whole with pool tables and some very big screen TVs.

I only looked at what was available on draft, but it was a nice and diverse selection. It was midwest based too which is always something that puts a smile on my face.

I also made sure to get some food. I definitely could've ordered more of the sliders, but I didn't and that was my mistake. I got a cheddar and a mushroom+swiss slider. I'm normally partial to mushroom+swiss, so that was naturally the one I liked more. But, both were really good and @ the special price of $1 a slider I was extremely happy.

The service was pretty easy and nice. Granted it was 5pm on a wednesday, but there was still a decent crowd there already.

I'd definitely go back to lincoln station. I do wish they had proper glassware for the beers, but in the end it didn't take away from the fact that it's a real solid place to grab a good brew.

I don't think I've ever received worse service anywhere. Took over an hr to get 10 mini sliders, the waitress just kept saying, they'll be right up. After 5 times of that, it was a joke. The guys I was with were being more patient than I was- After 30 min I would have just walked away. The worst part was that nothing was even taken off our bills. Yes, I realize they are $1 sliders, but it's the principle of it. There is no good reason to make people wait an obnoxious amount of time for simple food and offer no explanation.

    Won't be back.

I didn't want to write a review of this place until I had had the full experience. I can honestly say that I have now! My friends and I stick with pitchers which are around $15-18... not the cheapest but hey, we're looking to have a good time. It's a little dark and dank but if you sit by the windows, or even better yet outside on the patio it's not so bad. This place is pretty laid back and the pool table is an added luxury. The TVs are in prime locations and they will let you change it to pretty much any game you want (including soccer!). The crowd here can get crazy on Thursday nights (lots of underagers at times, as it appears to me anyways!). Franklin is a wonderful server! They all have a sense of humor in there which helps when you're three sheets to the wind one day and have the balls to walk in the next. They also held a bag for me that I left in my drunken stupor, what a pal!!

Stopped in after some having some tests for our son at the Hospital (Which is now moving). Lazy Wednesday around 11:30 and looking for a place to eat. My wife and I looked in and it seemed nice enough?

Lunch crowd was very light, place was nice, enough TV's and good music. Sat at a booth and bartender/waiter took our drink order and then took our food order.

I had a burger with egg and bacon added. Wife had a standard burger. Burgers were above average. Nothing amazing or handmade or anything, but pretty solid and good. Fries were VERY good. Good mean for the price.

Wife say a cookie desert and we inquired and we ordered the skillet cookie. This thing was VERY good. Chocolate cookie cooked in a skillet with a dollup of vanilla ice cream. Nothing revolutionary, but it was done very well. Nice warm cookie and skillet and fresh. A very nice finish.

As far as food goes, again nothing spectacular or award winning, but good and solid. Service was top notch. He was there when we needed somethiing, and did not bother us either. They ended up comping the cookie for some reason? Think it was because we mentioend we were at the hospital all morning? Not sure, but it was nice. He got a good tip.

Also, they did have a pretty nice beer special 2 brothers for $2.50 (mentioned in other reviews). I did not have one because I had to drive back to the burbs and work still.

But it looks like it would be a good somewhat casual place to hang on a Thursday or Friday and have enough space to not be bumped every 5 minutes, and also not be just empty either.

Just a solid place for food, and beer.

Looking for a relatively laid-back bar with pool tables, I consulted Yelp and settled on Lincoln Station.

As you enter, you pass through a typical bar.  It's dark, it's loud, it's crowded.  But in the adjacent room, the vibe is more chilled.  Soft booths and a pair of pool tables available for play.  I liked this a lot.

You're charged for the amount of time you're on the pool tables.  We only had to wait about five minutes (on a Friday night) before one opened up.  I'm a billiards novice, so I can't speak to whether the equipment is top notch, but it seemed to do the job.

There was a regular table perched ridiculously close to our pool table, so we continually had to ask people to move aside for our shots.

It was kind of disappointing the wait staff didn't check in on us to see if we needed drinks while we played.  Maybe that's standard, but it kinda sucked to have to go all the way to the other room and wait at the bar to get a drink.

Still, I'd probably come back to Lincoln Station, more for the pool than the drinks.

Kudos Lincoln Station, for your great specials and because you brought back Great Lakes Tuesday (certain drafts for $2.50, it was Two Brothers for awhile).  Stopped in today and was rewarded with a great beer special and some tasty 35 cent wings.

They have specials most days of the week, all advertised on a large board for easy viewing.  Bartenders are friendly and the crowd is chill.  They even have some pool tables in the other room if you like that sort of thing.

Bonus point for Great Lakes Christmas Ale in the proper snifter glass :)

Great bar food, great beer on tap, great bartenders. Avoid the weekend douchery, and any other night of the week it is great

Some of the best things on the menu: Spuds! Wings! Quesadilla!

We stopped in for Sliders, cheap Two Brothers, and some delish fries.  We left stuffed, and very pleased with out selections.  $1 sliders, 1/2 price wine, and 2.50 Two Brothers are Wednesday deals....YAY!

Bathrooms were "eh" when I went, but nothing shocking.  Service was good...can't wait to go back!

I've only ever been to Lincoln Station during the Taste of Lincoln Fest every year, but each time I have had so much fun!!!

We always hang out by the bar and people watch and chat with other patrons and the bartenders.  The bartenders are so personable and so much fun...every single one of them!!!  I have not eaten here, but have seen and smelled the food and it looks like your typical bar food and appears to be tasty...I say that because I always see people finishing every last bite.

One of the bartenders this past weekend told us about their half off Thursdays where some of the bottles of beer are $2.50.  This is very tempting and we will definitely have to make a trip back to Lincoln Station before next year's Taste of Lincoln Fest!!!

Highly suggest Lincon Station to anyone looking to have some drinks and laughs in a chilled atmosphere.

1/2 of wine glasses and $1 sliders - what a deal.  Dinner ended up being $10 a person here.
    - Got 3 sliders - spam and tomato was suprisingly good, mushroom swiss was tasty but small meat patty, and chipotle was just OK
    - Acacia pinot noir was tasty
    - Cheese fries were yummy with a spicy melted cheese to dip

I always judge a bar based upon what it can provide/produce/perform even if a patron isn't drinking  That's the predicament I found myself in during the Saturday St. Pat's festivities.

Me no drinkie + me at bar = stupid me.  However, Lincoln Station was fun!

5 stars for being open during the blizzard!!!

Other than their impressive resilience in the face of 20 inches of snow, Lincoln Station gets 5 stars because the food here is good, and the beer selection is really good. It's a solid neighborhood bar. And blizzards? No problem.

    I love this place.

Its a random bar on douche laden Lincoln ave. but whats not to love? They have great beer specials, good burgers and fantastic wings. Yup, thats right, they have AMAZING wings!

Let me tell you what I think goes into an amazing wing.

1). They are perfectly cooked, crisp...not soggy and piping hot
2). No fat to be had, i.e, not those damn nasty ass JUMBO wings; in the wing world, bigger IS NOT better!
3). Perfectly spiced. Not to spicy, not to blah

Yup...this places wings are close to perfection.

It doesn't hurt that the staff is freindly and insightful and the location is right down the street from my house.

I always have a good time when I come here. Mind you I don't go here late on a weekend night (see the douche bag comment above) but during the week or for lunch this place is dead on. Dont miss the wings when you come here, you wont be dissapointed.

Dollar tacos on Tuesday night are legit. They offer chicken and beef. In my opinion get the chicken ones. YUM! :)
Wish they had a better beer special, but oh well.
Our server was really sweet and she was very attentive. Two thumbs up.

ugh! this place was awful. I got a chicken sandwich that tasted like dog food, and my boyfriend got a hamburger he barely touched. We also got nachos that were bordering on disgusting. The cheese "sauce" was an unrecognizable consistency, and then they just threw a bunch of chopped white onions and black olives on top. We didn't even drink beer, because our stomachs hurt, and our bill was 30 dollars. Wha?

I left one star because the fries were decent (although ridiculously salty,) and my boyfriend commented he once had a quesadilla here that was good. But I think he's mixing it up with somewhere else.

    The worst.

I have only been there for food, but have to say that I was pleasantly surprised.

First I had 10 wings; and they were only so-so. They were a little over-fried and slightly hard and dry. The spices though were excellent. I assume they are better on wings-night...

Secondly I had a specialty burger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection and was in general very good, and the fries were excellent as well! They are fried all the way through without being hard and dry.

    Also, our service was great!

Overall a very good experience, would definitely go back for bar-food!

Met a friend here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon.  It's your standard run of the mill Lincoln Park bar...but I would say the food is better than most bars.  She said her quesadillas were really good.  My chili was great and the FRENCH FRIES---oh...my...goodness.  They are incredible!  They are perfectly seasoned and delicious.  Damn.  I rarely go ga-ga over french fries  but these are the best.

It's also a Buffalo Bills bar for all those New York state people who cannot bring themselves to root for the Patriots.

I have to say I am a big fan of Lincoln Station. Their food, considering it is a bar, is great. I highly suggest the buffalo chicken wrap- crispy not grilled! They always have pretty decent specials on drinks and wings. It's a great place to go to watch sports as they have a lot of tv's in there, and they also have some pool tables. On weeknights its $7 an hour to rent the balls for the table.
It's never too crowded in there which is always nice, and they have a jukebox so you can pick your own music. Touch screen is always a highlight while going there, as well as the outside tables during the summer!

Lincoln Station is the perfect bar to hole up in to watch an afternoon sports event, play some pool or just order some above-average pub grub to munch on.  The pool tables are much nicer than your average 6 foot bar table.  They do not take quarters.  You rent the balls from the bartender and then you are billed for how long you play.  On weeknights it's $7/hour.  Not bad at all for nice tables.

The atmosphere is laid back during the day and on weeknights.  Of course on weekends it can get busy and we all know about how obnoxious the Lincoln Ave. weekend bar crowd can be.

For a bar, the food is outstanding.  The wings are tender, big and meaty (unlike mediocre neighbor BW3 up the street) and there is a nice variety sauces to choose from.  The cheese fries side is very good and large enough to feed the Duggar children.  The loaded baked potato IS big and loaded with veggies and cheese.  The pizza.  Oh, the pizza!  It's amazing!!!!  I would guess it to be about 12" but it's super thin and the crust is nice and crispy.  Get what you want for toppings and enjoy.

I can't wait to go back.

Okay so this place was okay, I came here on a fluke. I was in the area with a friend of mine when it started pouring outside so we literally ran into this place for cover.  While we were here, we ate some really good burgers and fries.  I really liked the food, the veggie burger was a huge hit with me and i washed it down with good ginger ale.  My total bill was $12.  Not bad for dinner.

Nothing really stood out for me here, I didnt play pool or see the bowling lanes.

I would go here again for the food.

I don't really have anything bad to say about Lincoln Station, but nothing too memorable either. I went with a group of friends for a birthday party on Saturday night. All you can drink for three hours for $25.00 per person. Not a bad deal-I definitely got my $25.00 worth of gin & tonics that night.

The company I was with may have affected my time at LS. I was with all new yorkers who had been drinking all day. Needless to say, three out of four of them were kicked out before an hour was up. That didn't stop me, no sir it did not. I enjoyed the drinks, my friends french fries, and the minimal frat-y-ness of the bar. Good for a low-key Saturday night, not good for loud, drunk, obnoxious New Yorkers.

For being in the DePaul area Lincoln Station was surprisingly quiet. I was here on Monday so that may have been the reason.

Monday night they have a 25 cent wing special and some sort of beer special depending on the week. While my friends and I were waiting for the wings to come out there happened to be an open pool table which we gladly jumped on. Seems rare to find an open table at a bar. Surprisingly the  table was only $7 an hour. We manged to finish a few games and a beer by the time the food came out. The wings were very tasty and well worth the 25 cents.

You know what? I'm 36 and have no business being in a DePaul bar...

But I was meeting friends from out of town last Sunday and somehow we ended up in need of a pub. We also wanted a quick snack and some score updates and LS provided it all.

Despite feeling like a grandmother (students were doing homework while they watched the Big Ten tourney!) I was very happy with the tasty queso AND the $2.50 Smithwick's (apparently a regular Sunday special.) The bartender was friendly, quick and accomodating AND it passed my bar test because the stools were really comfortable!

They also have part of the bar dedicated to pool and it appears some serious players (well, people who bring their own sticks) are regulars.

All in all, I don't get to Lincoln Park that often these days but I would definitely return to this bar. Another plus: it appears to be a general sports bar and not say, the Purdue bar of Lincoln Park...

We were attampting to get some Christmas shopping done, and 45 minutes or so into our shopping adventure the snow just got annoying.  I realize that it's Chicago and it snows here, but must it always do it when I have plans?

So after grabbing a quick lunch (that left us feeling a little peculiar) we headed to Lincoln Station to grab a couple drinks and play pool.  4+ hours later when we finally made our way out the door it was dark outside.

I'm not sure what this place is like on a weekend night, or on any night for that matter.  But if you're looking for a place to just kick back and hang out on a Saturday afternoon this place gets my vote.  The Bloody Mary was exactly I needed to help ease the pains from lunch, and the service was what you would expect at a bar in the afternoon.

So, after about 20 games of pool we finally were able to pull ourselves away... but we'll be back!

There's really nothing much to differentiate between the standardised bars on the stretch of Lincoln in Lincoln Park, unless you're the Red Lion and you're brave enough to serve Welsh rarebit as an appetiser, not have a jukebox playing Rhianna featuring Jay-Z and host a ghost who would likely be displeased with Trixie behaviour.

So, that the Lincoln Station would devote a significant portion of one of its two storefronts to three pool tables AND offer free pool play is admirable and to be honest, astounding. Good bar food at a reasonable price helps its cause, too -- cheese fries, for example, comes with queso. So instead of dipping your fries into simply processed cheese, it's spicy processed cheese. Come on, that's an E for effort.

With a decent jukebox selection (imperfect -- it did not carry Bruce Springsteen, but had Frank Sinatra, so Jersey was represented anyway) and enough breathing room, the Lincoln Station is a comfortable respite on a Saturday night from the co-ed crowd. If you had to hang out in the area and wanted to make meaningful conversation, come seek refuge here.

There's so much better to do in this area than go to a bar like this... like many have said before, there's plenty of tvs and it's rarely crowded so if you're going to watch a game this would probably be an ideal place.  But the bar doesn't have the best setup as far as meeting other people.  If you come with more than 4 people you pretty much have to stand to socialize or hope someone has a weak bladder so you can sit down in the booth once in a while and talk to your friends.

Probably won't go back.  Unless the colts are playing on monday night football.
