Little Italy

Ummm I don't really get this place. Does it want to be a dingy Italian spot, a pub with sports stuff everywhere....? Upon entering, there were about 6 older couples at the bar and a family at a table. Christmas lights on and music playing, the server told us we had to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. The garlic bread was good, mozzarella sauce god-awful, and spaghetti something my child could make.... Everything was loaded with garlic. Maybe they were mad we were in so late (although we called and they said they closed at 1), but I don't really think that's an excuse to send out microwaved food.... The staff were just kind of blah. Only 2 working, and the one was chillin at the bar texting while the other vacuuming. At least they didn't rush us out. It wasn't, like, a terrible experience, it's just not some place I'd come back to. Probably a good bar spot for locals.

Comfy, cozy little "locals" bar. Stopped in here for dinner a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening because we had an Entertainment Book coupon and it was one of that places that's been on our "we oughta try" list. Clean, comfortable and casual. It was clear watching the bar staff interact with the patrons that this is a place that draws a good size group of regulars. Tried the lasagna and the eggplant parm and would classify both as decent. Not the best Italian food that you're ever going to have, but by far not the worst. Perfect for nights that you want to grab a quick bite, but don't want "bar food". Prices were reasonable, and service was friendly and efficient. Definitely someplace I could see us returning to.
