Wow been to Long Boards several times, and its been degrading since my first time there(Its no longer Chill), its a let down on most all fronts as of late.  This is a local dive bar, dive bars are cool but this one is now a disappointment.  The owner must not really know whats going on with the clientele.  There are loads of  local thug type 25-45 year old juvenile bullies that are over served and flat out drunk regularly.  A good percentage of the clientele are the locals rule types "get out of my bar", and will not leave you alone (BUG).  There is no food served at this bar and a lot of the photos are old on the web site.  Try to avoid the local 3:30PM work crowed as they are out of control drunks by 5:30PM.  Its a dive bar that could be a real nice place and get regular  local hi paying people if they could police the establishment better and establish a no bulling and no drunks allowed .  The tap beer crowed scare's off the high pay folks and hwy-1 vacationers"I've seen it". They come in for several drinks and leave after half.  The management is leaving a lot of money on the table by not having independent security for the place or bird dogging  whats happening in the bar.  Better to come here with a few people not alone (again 25 to 45 year old juvenile delinquents will bug you into leaving). I don't have an Ax  to grind with this bar. But they need major improvements in customer security, and for the owner and bar tenders to cut customers off when they are WAY over served.  I do not recommend this place in it's current form.

My husband and I love this place.  We have been coming for two years.  The owner Kim is a sweetheart, and literally makes the best habanero/jalapeno margarita you can get your hands on.  When I had the flu this winter, I would order one and feel better immediately.  We have been in there the last two Valentine's Days for whatever reason and had a blast.  They weren't doing anything special, the atmosphere is great.  We have done New Years w/Native Elements, Sunday Football, the world series, you name it, and it's always fantastic.  I can't say enough good things about it.

    Wow, had a great time.
The Band AQUA NET, an 80's Hair Band played.
Two Birthdays, sexy santa's in spandex, both men and women, free jello shots, Sees candies, cake, cookies, a gal doing 1980's makeup, aka KISS or fake tatoos, (she was very talented, great) oh and a Raffle. No I did not win but what a great time and thank you for all the effort that the Longboard put into this event.

This is by far my favorite bar in Pacifica.  We have had our company party here, been here for date nights and come for the live bands.  The bartenders are all extremely competent and the one time that the bartender didn't know what drink I was describing (one the owner Kim makes special) she called Kim and got us the drinks in minutes.
Every Giants game and every 49ers game are on the tvs every game, and the crowds are almost always positive, and they are quick to remove any problems that do come up.

Pacifica, which i love, has not historically had much to offer in the way of bars but I was dragged out of my safety net of the city to this place by a friend. What a killer little pub/bar/music venue. Unlike most small town bars where everyone turns to give you the, "who are you and what are you doing here?" look, we were immediately made to feel like regulars. The drinks are cheap and stiff, the music is killer and the crowd was a blast. Met one of the owners, Kim, who was nothing but sweet. She kept coming back and checking on us making sure we were having a great time, we were! I can't wait to get back here but next time I'm taking a cab or getting a room cause these folks know how to drink and encourage you to do the same. The namesake Margaritas are awesome as was the service.  No attitudes just a bunch of fun ass peeps sharing the good vibes. Thanks Kim C ya soon.

I love the Longboard Margarita bar! it's a great place to hang out my friends! I've gone there many nights for karaoke, reggae bands and live bands it's very fun!  The staff is always nice and the owners Kim and Eric are super sweet!  they're doing a remodel right now and I can't wait until they re-open for bands to play again next month, until then they're open for patrons to come and have a drink and listen to the jukebox!

I really love this place. what do you want, cool music? pick a night they have it! great drinks? every night! cool crowd? Check!
they took what was a divvy little bar and turned it into a fantastic little lounge/music venue/art bar. I liked them on facebook and get great updates for shows and other events. Very cool and friendly staff that are not afraid to pour a drink and make you feel like a regular right away.

So, this place has undergone some major renovations from the previous dive biker bar it was. The joint is really nice, clean, and full of nice people having a good time. The guy that owns the place has a terrific pro-active positive vibe about him. He wants to bring good fresh music and a positive fun time to his community. Looking forward to having some fun times here - Spring and Summer are on the way. A perfect time for some good Reggae music (on certain nights - I think Thursdays and Saturdays). The only thing missing is that the place isn't on the beach or even a block or two from it. Oh well, it's pretty darn cool and you should check it out! Another awesome part is that parking is plentiful - it's got a huge strip shopping center parking lot.

We ate dinner next door at Go Sushi. The whole time I was hearing bass beats. When we walked outside we saw that there is a bar right next door and went in to check it out. We happened to go in on their 1st year anniversary night so there were ribs and other snack foods. Got some IPAs on tap $4.5/pint. Pretty decent price. They had a DJ and break dancers. The other patrons were nice. A bit of an older crowd. Was a fun night!

The owners have transformed what was once a funky biker bar into a very nice, upscale, but unpretentious neighborhood hang out. Yea, they specialize in magaritas, but since I don't drink Tequila, I had a Mojito which was made very well with really fresh mint. They now have live music on some nights too. The owner Kim is really friendly and she aims to please her customers.

The quick stuff... warm, inviting atmosphere; friendly and accommodating staff; reasonable prices; fun events. I discovered this gem of a bar many weeks ago and now it is my favorite location for relaxing with one drink or spending the evening with friends. The margaritas are mixed from fresh ingredients and the taps are always cold. Several nights of the week are themed... pub quiz, live reggae night, free pool and pizza on Mondays, and more, not to mention the 4 flat-panel TVs and huge HD screen for sports and such. Every time I walk in I am greeted with a smile and served quickly, and that is what keeps me coming back. Love it!

First time I was there was because my friend told me they will be there for a Tuesday Karaoke.   I went, sang one song, the older guy appeared to be filming singers, and even said he needs our email so he can send the video, I am still waiting for it.

Second time was when my daughter craved for Nachos which I brought her last time and she loved it.

On both occasions, their food did not fail me, for Nachos with Chicken it was really good and tasty, the sandwich was good but kinda small.

Bar price of drinks are good, and the appetizers are cheap for $6 and under.

Today I would give the waitress KC a four star as she was really nice, but, the Karaoke people who was the drawing factor in my going there is the unforgivable negative factor that pulled my rating down to one star.

I can understand how they wanted to keep order re  the singing line up of those who can and cannot sing there.  But the fact that one middle aged white dude (there was a pilipina woman, an old white dude and a middle age white dude) started acting like he was God Almighty yet I thought, well maybe since he act like the owner of the place, maybe he will listen to my reason of business ownership whereas he needs to chill out, especially when you're dealing with a big tipper tipsy customer like me.    He finally mellowed but, unfortunately now that I am sober, realized he was really a douche anyways, and still deserve bashing.  He was not even the owner of the establishment but simply the Karaoke person who brings in their service to restaurants who are willing to accept them with open hands.

Well, first they got me there because of my friend, I brought in more paying people to patronize the business, now they are down to that very little customer base they have again with no future of getting a bigger crowd because I am not going back there if  those same Karaoke people are still there.

Tudiloo Mr. Big Shot wannabe who makes Tiddly Dee.  This is what I get for trying to patronize the Filipina Karaoke Operator by going there and bringing more people. I just put her emails in spam so I don't have to deal with them again.  I once again got disappointed..

Oh well I am boycotting them no prospective customers going their way coming from my end, and to think I was about to hire them for a gig I am putting together, now there won't be any, and of course I had to yelp my bad experience.

Do not drive all the way to Pacifica to try it out as you will be very disappointed.

For being in Pacifica, I expect this place to be by the beach or at least having somewhat of a veiw. Turns out this place is in a strip mall next to a big supermarket that sells booze....when I walk out of this place, I thought I would rather buy a bottle of beer and sit on the sand than to be inside this so call "Margarita Bar" without a single window to the outside world.

Their interior is pretty simple and bland and really nothing special on their drinks. I love old school Tiki bars in the city with a similar ambiance but this one has a lot of work to do to create that Tiki bar feel.....

Sorry I had to pull my stars, since the management had decided to "Go a different way" with the Karaoke. I find there's way too much drama in general, and not to rehash old crap, and with how the management apparently treated Jason and Laura of Bay Image Karaoke, we will not be returning, and recommending others not to as well. It's a pity though. Funny, the karaoke crowd around here can be really loyal to certain KJ's and their shows. All I know is karma's bitch sometimes, you get what you get I guess...

Had a great time with my friends last week at this bar. The place has a relaxed down-to-earth feel to it. The patrons are genuine, not phoneys. I'll be back again soon.

Fresh fruit affordable drinks. A diamond in the rough when it comes to bay area bars. Very nice and clean inside. A spot where you can take your parents to. A must visit. The tacos on tues and thrs are awesome. Since they are using fresh fruit puree's sometimes they are out of some flavors, but they usually have quite a few to choose from. I like the place.

was super excited to try out the margarita bar when i found out that their focus was going to be fresh ingredients. however, i have been there 4 times now and the fresh ingredient aspect is laughable.

every single time i have gone there, i have been told "oh, we dont have that" i recognize the girls behind the bar as patrons of the owners other pacifica bar, winters. im not sure if they just arent heavy on experience, but i cant tell you how many times ive ordered a drink and its missing ingredients. like the sex on the beach my girlfriend ordered was without peach schnapps, which is kind of a crucial ingredient.

the decor is nice and the drinks are strong. hopefully they are just still trying to work out the kinks.

Finally a nice bar in Pacifica.  It was so nice to walk into a nice bar in town, and have really good drinks.  I enjoyed the Skinny Girl margarita, and it was just what a margarita should be.  The set up is nice too - light from a window keeps it from feeling like a cave.  Great selection of draft beers and a very pleasant staff.

Have to agree with Brenda M.  This is first and foremost a bar, not a restaurant.  You don't usually critique the alcohol first and food second when reviewing a restaurant do you?
The margaritas are delicious and very reasonably priced considering how large they are.  The staff are extremely friendly and attentive even when you linger and generous with the chips and salsa. This has become my go to place in Pacifica for a great drink in a great environment.
Overall, a refreshing change from all the other bars in Pacifica as the decor and crowd are a little more upbeat and current.  We need more places like this in Pacifica!

P.S. Would love to see less southwest and more beach though in the decor along with a heavier dose of classic beach music playing especially with the name Longboard and being by the ocean.

I went here last Saturday, specifically to hear a friend, Kimberlye Gold, who was performing with the Third Thursday Band.  It was nice to go someplace close to my home in Daly City ( only 3-1/2 miles ).  I think it would have been pretty dead, though, had it not been for one large birthday group and fans of the musicians.

The bar, itself, is quite nice - large, nicely decorated in a CA surfer theme, very fitting for Pacifica.  There was a nice margarita menu.  I had a really delicious "Zombie Margarita" - three different kinds of tequila, Citonge liquer, passionfruit and pineapple.  The food, in my opinion, is not that special.  My hot pastrami sandwich couldn't compare with that at Max's Diner and the bruschettas were good but not great.  There were pizzas on sourdough bread, burgers, hot dogs and other bar fare.

On Friday and Saturday nights, there is a live band and, for me, at 66-years-old, it was great fun, having my friend, Kimberlye and the band sing rock and roll from the 60's, definitely my generation.

I cannot tell you enough how pleasantly surprised I was with the classy face lift the New Owners gave this establishment. I have gone numerous times and have been completely satisfied with each and every visit. Love the direction they have taken this bar. I highly recommend the "Desert Heat" Margarita, warming and cooling sensations that explode in your mouth! What a special treat for Pacifica. The atmosphere went from zero to Hero..... My friends and I have already started planning future events there. Please treat yourself to this New Fun Classy Chilling Spot, it's a must see. Enjoy, I know I did and will again very soon! Oooo I almost forgot the yummy fun food menu they offer too... Can't wait to dig into some of the treats available to order.
Thank You to the owners for bringing a cool spot that anyone will feel good walking in and out of.

My friend and I split a Longboard Panini and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and both were absolutely delicious....I highly recommend!! The drinks are good and there are plenty to choose from.  The Sweet Heat is tasty and a  perfect choice if you're looking for something different.  The standard Longboard Margaritas are made with fresh squeezed limes so they don't have the acidic after taste that you get with your typical restaurant margaritas.

Well, I heard all of the "Oooh's and Ahhh's" of this place prior to it's grand opening on February 25th, 2011, of which I happened to have missed due to another engagment.  So, I stopped by a day before my girlfriend, and a few of our friends were planning to visit on Friday night March 4th, 2011.  Well, The ambiance was so much better than the previous establishment which did business prior to Longboard.  People were definitely of the mature variety, thus the younger crowd probably stuck a it's sister bar "WINTERS."  I have to admit with Dave above me, that this place definitely lacks the magic of Margarita mixing, we had to send one of our back, I later realized that the bartender or "Mixologist" may have been confused due to the onslaught of Stoli with cranberry orders, and used vodka in lieu of tequila, well that's what I had tasted etc.   Bloody Mary's were definitely off the hook in my book, I like 'em extra thick n' spicy, and spicky they did, putting a raw jalepeno ring in mine, yummy yum yum!  As for the food, not too thrilled on the sourdough french bread pizza, too much bread, not enough cheese nor topping, tho' we ordered two of 'em, first was good, second blah.  The smokehouse Panini Turkey sandwich was a hit too!  Kudos to the chicken cesar salad along with the chips and salsas, we tried all three salsas, and yes the mango salsa is good, the mild was also good, but I had reserves on the HOT salsa, I swear it had a little kick to it, along with some GORILLA BBQ too??  My friend who took the liberty and pleasure to join us on this evening, is a food critic with a big San Francisoc tabloid, and did not pull any punches nor leniency on his report, yet I jokingly begged him to be cool, and give it a chance.  Overall, the staff tho' are friendly and do try to accomodate, along with the owner and manager, being friends of mine, will make this place happen.  However, with the decades of I and a couple of my guests being in the Bar, Culinary and hospitality business and successful too, all agree that the bartenders need to be trained more on their "mixing" of cocktails, for as I heard about opening night, and on Friday night during our visit, the drinks were terrible at times.  Something that needs to be corrected.  Dave above me, calm down, this place just opened and it's truly unfair for you promote two well known establishments that perhaps to have a better margarita, however they too started some time with flaws.  The Longboard Margarita Bar will indeed be a much better and enjoyable establishment soon enough, right now it's taking it's "baby steps."  I see the potential of this place, and it's about time Pacifica added another establishment wich caters to a more mature customer crowd.  The music was also nice on our visit.  Note that they were short one server, and did the best they could, which was understandable.  I also noticed that why do they have a lock on the men's bathroom door where the urinals and toilet seat are at, maybe they're working on that as I type, makes sense to separate the toilet seat into it's own locking stall, while the urinals are accesible.  Locking that door, permits nobody to use any of them all at once, still baffling to me.  Chad, Kim, Eric, Jeannie and all the staff, you've only just begun, but I can see in no time this place will truly grow, prosper and have a longevity of fun!

I visited Longboard on opening night and immediately loved it. The new owners fully remodeled it and it has modern surfer beachy vibe to it. The new hardwood floors and bar decorated with geckos and surfer items is just beautiful.
Opening night had people of all ages. I'm a 30 something and so I prefer a young vibe with a crowd my age. Some of the young ones were hanging out, but there were also people oder than me. It reminded me of the old El Torito Bar back in the day.
The drinks were good that night, and the mango salsa and chips were to die for. There was a band that had a surfer, scooby-doo-ish sound. It was perfect for the theme of the bar on opening night, although the volume was too high at times. We didn't stay long, we just wanted to check it out real quick that night.
Well, I just visited the bar again this past weekend and I think I loved it even more. The crowd had a few youngsters and elders, but the average was more my age. There were more people having dinner and the staff seemed to run much more smoothly. They present themselves very professionally by the way. All dressed in black, so you can see that they are part of the staff. It really makes a difference on how they present the bar, so I think it looks great!
The music was a jazz band that was smooth and it had a lounge type of sound. Oh, did i mention there is a hot pink grand piano near the stage? Very sexy :)
My friends ordered me a Sweet Heat" Jalapeño and Cucumber Margarita. WOW!! Talk about sizzling. It was refreshing like a mojito would be. But the jalapeño gave it a POP. The cucumber seemed to cool it down. I literally felt like my tummy glowed from it. I have never had anything like it, and I probably would never have ordered it on my own, But it was amazing!
I also sampled the mango margarita, and ordered a Blackberry margarita for myself. Both were just yummy. Made with fresh ingredients and garnished with them as well. No place in town makes anything like them.
I really felt that this is more of what Longboard will be like. I think if they had any kinks to work out, they are almost there. I love it here and can already see the many nights out with friends and family, the girls-night-out events, and birthday parties that I will be attending here & I can't wait. I hope that I can look forward to some Latin and R& B bands here too. I like to dance and I can't wait to get my groove on here. I am so glad they got this place together, because Pacifica needed a place like this in town badly!
Thank you so much for opening Longboards!

This place is a "margarita bar" like Denny's is a gourmet restaurant.  If you're looking for a good margarita, try Tommy's in SF or even Chevy's over the hill.

I was apprehensive and a little skeptical about going to opening night of the Longboard Margarita Bar in Eureka Square.  I had been a long-time employee of the space's former entity, The Octopus Lounge, so I was feeling bitteresweet to say the least.

Well the apparent exorcism was successful, as this location has been reborn into what I think is the most attractive bar/eatery in Pacifica.  Owners Chad, Kim, and Eric have done a truly amazing job at breathing new life into 180 Eureka Square.

Besides a completely redesigned, southwestern touched interior, the lounge offers both interesting, inspired food and drink menus.  (Call for details - opening night was too kookoo for me to deal with paper and small colorful text,)

Drink prices are on the high side of average (comparable to, say, Nick's Restaurant, in my opinion).  The bartenders were very friendly and kept on smiling (even through the onslaught of opening night - which was NUTS! And not necessarily in a good way.)

Hours seem to be noon - 2am daily, so stop by, treat yourself to something blended and bordering on illegal, try the mango salsa (IT ROCKS!).

3/7/11 - I am amending my review to include a couple of things I forgot to write previously...

Regarding drinks - two people ordered the same drink at our table (some kind of minty mango concoction), and one of the two had to be sent back, it really was sub-par. terrible lack of consistency.

I stick with my 4 star review and my opinion that the barstaff is very pleasant, but I've been amid the Pacifica bartenders for 9 years, and I only know a few of the Longboard's mixologists.  I think there might be a lot of new blood behind the bar.  Let's get them up to speed asap!
