I like the ambiance of this place and location. Customer service is casual and unhurried but tolerant. Â Saturay brunch Omelet de Provence was delicious. A nice feature of Columbia City, great for people watching. However, a coffee mug did fall off a window sill above and land on a customer's shoulder while I was there for Saturday brunch. Â An employee stood staring up at the window until the man who left the mug there appeared and pled with him to be more careful. The man was humbly sorry and apologized. Â So, just be careful to check the window ledges above before you sit outside.
Review Source:For a neighborhood bar, this place does it. Â As a Columbia City resident, I love the diversity of the clientele. Â Nowhere else in Seattle have I seen Haitian ex-pats, hipsters, and middle-aged professionals spark up conversation together. Â Sit at the bar and jump into a conversation. Â Its a great place to go alone, as many others do as well. Â If you need a cozy corner to cuddle, there's that too. Â (and games, if you're bored.) Â It is for sure my favorite place in Seattle. Â Also, they substitute any meat for field-roast in their superb sandwiches.
Review Source:I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's my favorite place to hang out. It can get quite crowded on the weekends, but it's such a great crowd. The early-mid 30's kinda artsy crowd that I love (I'm just too old for Capitol Hill these days). Good drinks, good food. Always a good time.
