A bar with only vegetarian and vegan food, good beer and free video games - I would likely have lived at this place had it existed in my college town.

Even though I am a meat lover, I can easily get past the vegetarian menu as they do offer a few things that even I will eat. However, due to the horrible, crude service, I will NEVER, EVER be back.

We can into the place as a group of 6 to get a few drinks and play some of the old school console games. We are avid gamers and the fact they carry regular Nintendo, super Nintendo etc is actually what brought us into the place. We also live less than a mile away which is another reason we opted to go there despite the vegetarian menu.

The place was empty except for 3-4 people who were seated at the bar and appeared to be regulars due to the conversations we could hear them having with the bartender. We approached the bar and began to order our drinks from the bartender.  The guy serving us acted annoyed at having to take our orders. He would sigh and roll his eyes while we placed our order and at one point asked "are you serious?" when we ordered a cocktail which was on them menu. We told him yes and he made the drink while shooting us dirty looks. He also seemed extremely irritated when we asked for one of the regular Nintendo games (which was on the games list). He just shook his head and walked away to get the game. After getting our drinks and game, we retreated to the very back of the bar away from him and the people at the bar. We quickly realized he gave us the wrong game (easy mistake) and my friend went back the bar to have him exchange it. We all turned around when we heard the bartender yell at my friend for asking to exchange it. We all became very uneasy as we were unsure why he was so upset. My friend is by far the most easy going person I have ever met and to this day I have never seen anyone else get mad at him. The games were literally 2 steps from the bar and since they advertise to the gamers, this  shouldn't have been an issue. Im not sure if it was because my friend is black or he is just that rude to everyone. My friend returned with the right game and a look of fear. We played the game for about 5 minutes but decided to leave as the bartender and the other people in the bar had all turned toward us and just stared at us. Wanting to avoid any kind of physical injury, we decided to just leave and go elsewhere. I have never felt more uncomfortable or unwanted in my life.

Despite the strong drinks we will NEVER go back. I would not recommend this place to anyone that is alone, especially not a woman of a person of color!

The food is delicious and the staff is nice. The Darth Rueben is my favorite. There's an EPA clean up site across the street. The place has kind of a post-urban vibe. Septum piercing nose rings are the worst style since utilakilts so if you run into that just look the other way. It's worth the risk for the Darth Rueben alone.
