Jules Maes Saloon

*Bartenders - really good. Couldn't decide on a cocktail, asked for advice - made a drink which exactly fit the bill. They were friendly and when you're alone in a foreign city-that's a good thing!
*Had tomato and basil soup with a caeser dressing. The dressing was homemade and warm when served. parmesan was good and flaked with pumpkin seeds on top.
*I stayed in georgetown for a couple weeks and was honestly thinking this place was too classy for me. Its a nice mix of classy food, good eats, great drinks, and low key atmosphere. The clientele was a good mix...
I drank (while in town for work) at other establishments at the block, and enjoyed this most. Full picture.

Enjoyed a few tasty beers with the falafel burger. That sandwich packs a lot of flavor into a non meat patty with jalapeno fire and topped with cooling tzatziki and feta. YUM! Served with a generous side of seasoned tots, I had a happy tummy for sure! My husband loved his Georgetown Cheesesteak sandwich and manged to eat all of his tots plus half of mine. Our bartender was great and even put an orange slice on my blonde ale since they don't have a hef on tap.

hey, this is a great place to land and catch up with friends.   supposedly the oldest bar in seattle, it's all brick and open inside.  it has a stage for a band and a long bar to sit at.   it's not fancy pants, just a great divey place.

there's a nice little menu of eats, too!   we had a plate of pork wings and the pork stew.   the pork wings, aka ribs, were a little dry but flavorful and i loved the pork stew (which was like a bowl of good chili).  i almost didn't want to share any of the stew.  

it's very laid back and i can tell you that i'm going to be coming back.
