Good food, good service, great location. We ordered the Rigatoni D and Mom's Lasagna. Both were delicious. I agree with the take home container with the whole extra meal. I cannot wait to go back and use my $10 coupon.

Also, make a reservation!

A few Saturdays ago, I tried to come to this location for dinner around 8. The wait was 2 hours, so I and my dinner-mate decided to get something else. We tried again the next Sunday around 5pm, and the wait was 1 1/2 hours! This seemed crazy, so again, we postponed our Maggiano's.

We decided to give it a third go on Saturday afternoon. We arrived at 1:53 pm, and the wait was 15 minutes for a table of 2. We were seated around 2 and ordered the meal for 2. This deal is great because you get 1 appetizer or salad, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and 2 additional entrees to take home. (I have heard though, that if you refuse to have dessert, they will charge you everything a la carte. Not sure if this is true though.) Before we were even able to order with our server, the manager came by twice to give us bread. The food, as always, was delicious. That's not even a concern.

I would like to emphasize that we left Maggiano's around 4pm, which means that it took us 2 hours for lunch. The place was not busy. There were a lot of open tables. The problem may have been that it was off hours, so there weren't as many servers??

My usual Maggiano's locations is on Clark and Grand in Chicago, and I think I'll just stick with that instead.

Never had a bad meal there. Jimmy, our waiter was amazing, attentive, and made us feel like it was our anniversary even though it was just another Saturday night.
The value you get for your money is pretty good considering when you order a basic pasta, they give you a whole new one to take home!!

It was worth the 30 Minute wait since the bar and the atmospere is lively and inviting. We watched the NFL playoff games and felt like we were at the local sports bar but much classier, and the patrons in the bar were getting into the game as well.

I wish there was one closer to where I live-I'd be a regular

After calling from a nearby hotel, being put on hold twice for close to 5 min, I was informed they only deliver to large parties with 24hrs notice. Seemed pretty pretentious, don't waste your time if you want delivery today!

Hoo boy. I hadn't tried Maggiano's in a while, and it was not as good as I remembered. Walking in the door the first thing I noticed (besides the fact that there weren't many people there) was a table with a bowl of mints that looked like it had been attacked by a pack of wild dogs. Since the place wasn't busy I wondered why the hostesses didn't clean up the empty wrappers. As we were seated I stepped on a menu under the table. The lobster carbonara was served lukewarm with a small amount of overcooked seafood, and unevenly distributed sauce. Most of the pasta was dry and there was a small puddle of sauce at the bottom of the plate. Service was so-so.

I absolutely enjoyed EVERYTHING! The wine, the pasta! This is my favorite Italian chain, and honestly the food is above par to be considered a chain.

Hadnt been here or macaroni grill in a while so figured I would give it another try with family over the holidays. Mistake. Food was extremely slow and they did not acknowledge it until the end and seemed to be avoiding the table without even refilling water. They did give us the dessert sampler for free without us complaining at all.

The salmon in the salad was beyond dry. My lasagna was ok and I did get the free meal to take home. All the other food was mediocre and overpriced. We asked for parmesan cheese and they gave us the crappy container thing that Pizza Hut has and were confused why we were even asking. Why would you want parm on your $20 under flavored Italian dish? What a crazy request!

I think Maggiano's is a fine restaurant! Their signature Rigatoni dish is simply amazing and almost everything else that I have tried on their menu has been really good too. I think the restaurant looks great and I like the music that they have playing. I have got to eat in one of their special rooms on a couple of occasions for special events, which has been a treat for me. The wait staff does an excellent job! I have a lot of fun at Maggiano's and always get great leftovers!

Food here is very good I love their bread as well as lasagna. The service is very good. I highly recommend making a reservation on a weekend. I would also say enjoy your time here, come early for your reservation and pull up a chair at their great bar. Have a snack off the bar menu and enjoy a couple drinks before dinner. Its well worth adding to your experience here. Great for big groups of friends or cliental. Will return for sure.

Attended a bridal shower a few weekends ago. It's pretty cut and dry what happened: lots of people, lots of food, lots of gift to watch someone open.

I liked the family style meal, it has that "something for everyone" kind of appeal. We were served appetizers, salad and bread, all of which we were told that if we wanted more, to ask the server. Servers weren't really around much, I was asked if I wanted something to drink once, and there was no one around when I wanted more of that delicious fried mozzarella! Come on, I wanted that whole plate and not just a small piece shared with the table. But I was with ladies, so I guess I had to act like one...

The room was very nice and comfortable. I liked that they served both champagne punch and non-alcoholic punch. Of course I drank the champagne punch...

If you got the big bucks, or a ton of ladies going in on the party, this is a great spot for a shower. Otherwise, save your dollars for a more low-key gathering.

Food was average, prices average, and service good. This was a convenient stop on the way back to the city from the outlets, however I probably won't be going back...

Mama Mia! Hands down the best Italian restaurant I've ever visited. Husband & I dined here for lunch and ordered the Taylor Street baked ziti and spaghetti with meatballs from the classic section. Your also allowed to take home a classic dish with your order and we chose Mom's Lasagna (with meat sauce). Amazing! Not to mention only $12.95. We split a piece of the chocolate Zuccotto cake :) Great service, food and scenery. Will definitely be returning.

Oh, Maggiano's.

Why I've only recently discovered your delicious food is well beyond my comprehension.

When you walk in the door you're assaulted with the smell of good, old-fashioned Italian cooking. The wait is typically short, but you can make a reservation through Yelp! so I don't know why you'd go through the trouble of having to wait at all.

Every time we've been here we've had excellent service. The wait staff has always been quick and friendly, and I don't think I ever had to ask for a refill of my delicious raspberry lemonade, they just suddenly appeared like magic.

The bread that they bring out before the appetizers is always hot and has a great crust to it (and is amazing slathered in butter if you don't like the oil and cheese option like me).

The appetizer I typically get is their Mozzarella Marinara, and oh my God, is it the Holy Grail of mozzarella sticks. They're about five times the size of a typical mozz. stick and they give you TWO! The marinara alone is to die for. If I could, I would put that marinara sauce on everything. Literally.

As for the actual meal, when it comes to pastas I'm a ravioli kinda gal. Their Four Cheese Ravioli is absolutely wonderful. I have a tendency of ordering it with the marinara sauce (did I mention that I love their marinara? I'm literally drooling writing this review). For my second meal I usually get the Fettuccine Alfredo - Holy friggin' YUM. The directions to cook it are online, and super easy to follow. I've never had Fettuccine Alfredo be so creamy and rich (and -once again- delicious, and this was my take home meal reheated in a microwave!

The fact that they give you a take-home container with a whole extra meal in it AND it's included in the price of the scrumptious meal you just devoured (when you order a classic pasta) is WELL worth the money you pay to eat here. Just do yourself a favor and sign up for their e-club on their website. They send you a ton of useful coupons. $10 off my first meal? Don't mind if I do!

I love this place. Servers are always good, and so is the food. I wish it wasn't so unhealthy though.

First off, let me say the food at Maggiano's was excellent. My fettuccine alfredo was among the best I've had, the chopped salad I started with was great, and the tiramisu we finished with was fantastic- Everyone else I was with seemed to really enjoy everything they ordered as well.

Unfortunately, everything else ranged from decidedly mediocre to shockingly bad. We had a reservation for 8:00, which, at least at most restaurants I've been to, means that you're seated at or right around 8:00. We were left awkwardly standing in the foyer for nearly a half hour with everyone else waiting for a table. We waited so long I even went up to clarify with the host that he did in fact have us down for a reservation, and we weren't just in the normal queue with everyone else.

At around 8:30 our buzzer went off and we were guided into the exceedingly noisy dining area. Service at this point was prompt, although our waiter was noticeably perturbed when I asked him if he could split the check as we were ordering. This was the last we saw of him for quite some time, and we actually had to flag down some other person working there to get a shaker of parmesan cheese to go with our bread and olive oil.

The first and second courses arrive without issue, as like most restaurants, it seems someone who isn't your waiter is in charge of bringing you your food. After quite a wait, our server re-emerged to take our dessert orders, and once again they were promptly delivered by someone else.

This is where things took a turn for the weird, in perpetuating this odd trend that I've been experiencing lately in disappearing waiters. Between the time we got the cursory "Everything taste OK guys?" following the delivery of our dessert, our waiter vanished. We sat around with empty plates and credit cards on the table desperately attempting to find out waiter, or make eye contact with anyone who could just swipe our cards so we could get the heck out of there.

After waiting an eternity, he finally re-materialized, dropped off our checks, and eventually came back to run our cards. We didn't order any alcohol, and suspect our (comparatively low, we assume) check just had us at the bottom of our waiter's priority list. Who knows.

Admittedly, my knowledge on such things are sourced from shows like Top Chef, but I've always heard that as a waiter your priority is turning over tables as quickly as possible. Keeping us waiting so long just to swipe our credit cards might be a major contributing factor as to why we had to wait so long to get our table?

Anyway, Maggiano's falls right in line with other Lettuce Entertain You restaurants I've been to. Great food, but very chain-y feeling, mediocre everything else, and a weird amount of hype surrounding it which results in these eternal waits for tables. (I've heard if you don't have a reservation the wait can exceed two hours.)

I still prefer smaller italian restaurants like Rosebud in downtown Naperville. Yeah, it's just a little more expensive, but you're paying for substantially better service and a quaint italian atmosphere instead of needing to spend an hour shouting so the person across from you can hear what you're saying.

I've had four experiences at this particular location: a wedding shower, two lunches and a dinner.

As I was not present for the entirety of my wife's bridal shower, I did get to hear her review. She thought the food was very good and that the service was friendly. The room itself, from my perspective, was classy and clean.

The lunches we went to were fairly pleasant experiences. The first one involved us getting their unmatched pasta deal: order one and take another one home. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt.

We attended dinner here with my parents and were generally satisfied with the food and service. Our most recent experience, though, was not as satisfying. We waited over five minutes for a server to even get to our table, and they were most definitely not lacking servers. The server was friendly, but the wait was inexcusable. The food, again, very good. I had the Linguini & Clams with White Clam Sauce: the clams, both in the sauce and in the shell, were tasty and tender -- definitely one of the better Linguini & Clams I've had. My wife enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi as we both scrounged down a good amount of bread and olive oil.

I will return with the hopes that our last service experience was a simple snafu.

I had never been until recently and why I waited so long I will never know! I think I just always thought that Maggiano's was too pricey for me, but now I know better.

The meals are phenominal and the deal where you order one pasta and get one as a to go is great! Dinner AND lunch for the next day! My girlfriend and I did the meal for 2 deal, an appetizer, 2 main dishes, 2 main dishes to go and dessert for like $45... Not too bad at all concidering the quality, portion sizes and the service were all exceptional!

Maggiano's is Maggiano's everywhere. Still this one was very nice. I was in town on business and met an old college friend and his wife here. We had a wonderful meal that came out piping hot. The service was friendly but not too pushy and they kept my wine glass full. Actually I wish this one were closer to my house because my local Maggiano's isn't the best when it comes to service.

It was my first time at this location on 5/6/2012 and both our server Phil and Chef Mike made our day. Being vegetarians, its hard to find the the right food but Mike invented Pasta for us. He designed 4 bowls of pasta which were not even on the menu and everyone on our table was amazed. Amazing taste and personalized service.....5 stars all the way!
This is what a customer needs....walk in hungry...walk out happy!
Thanks Phil and Mike.

Been here on few occasions, once on a date with my special lady, a family party, and just grabbing some take-out on the way home from the office. All occasions were enjoyed. The service sucked on our date, but the server was just good at her craft.

I keep it simple here. Avoid breaking your norm. They execute Americanized Italian food well, so you can be confident with their ability to deliver on the staples you've been raised to love.

My recommendation, start with something like an app, salad, or soup. Their Caprese or Caesar is good enough. Then move on to a classic. I strongly urge you to just go with the Lasagna. They have a great recipe, it's a gigantic portion that will easily feed two (and likely have leftovers), and it's not badly priced. Plus, Lasagna is kind of a pain in the ass to make at home. So it's a treat to find a place that makes it well. Which they do.

That's about all I got for Maggianos. I don't dine here on the reg, but I do know they have solid apps and salads and one damn good recipe for Lasagna. Their food travels well, so if you're in the mood for above average take out give them a chance.

These portions are HUGE. The deal for buy one entree, get one to take home for something like $13 is great, so certainly take advantage of that.

The lasagna is great - that's what I got to take home with me. I actually really enjoyed that. I got the baked ziti to eat at the restaurant, which I was a bit disappointed with. I love sauce, and it seemed like there were more meat chunks in the sauce than there was actual sauce.

I'd probably choose to try something new instead of going back to Maggiano's, but I wouldn't m ind going back again sometime.

Decided to go here for our anniversary dinner. The outside appearance and inside decor are really nice. The have a main welcome desk right when you walk in. To the right is the main bar area, to your left is all the main seating for the actual restaurant and if you continue straight you will find several rooms that are banquet rooms. My guess is this is where you have receptions, business parties, etc.

Our hostess was nice, definitely make reservations... we were in and seated in no time.

Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive without being condescending or overbearing. They have a special that is 2 for 40.00 which includes one appetizer, one classic pasta [and one to go] and a dessert. We were pretty hungry so we opted to get the crab cakes for our appetizer and then get salads as a starter. Since the crab cakes cost close to 15.00 we figured it was a better deal.

Thing is, it only came with 2 crab cakes which would have been nice to know... we heard later from the waitress at the table next to us that crab cakes come in 2 and 4 pieces. Probably 4 when ordered on their own and only 2 when ordered with the 2 for 40 deal... no biggie... they were delicious and worth only having two.

We had chopped salad after that! Awesome!

Our entrees were Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken... Chicken costs 3.00 extra The Fettuccine noodles were not cooked all the way and the sauce was pretty thin. My wife added Parmesan cheese to thicken it up. My past which was baked rigatoni was good but nothing to shake a stick at.

Next time I will get the specialty pastas for sure. Even though they don't fall under the 2 for 40 category... I am sure then are a level above the Classic pasta. I can easily compare their Classic pasta to that of Olive Garden. Ok, but not spectacular either.

Dessert was Creme Brulee... it was ok, I've had better. I can always test a good creme brulee by being able to crack the top with the bottom of the spoon... this Creme Brulee had a dense thud. Taste was ok, presentation, ok.

All in all... waitstaff great, decor great, appetizers great and drinks great. Pasta... ok.

If you do go... I would fore go the 2 for 40 deal and get specialty pasta... you may spend a bit more but I am sure more love goes into their specialty dishes.

We had a good time, we will go back someday, but next time avoid the 2 for 40.

bread was good, you can tell it was made in house.. but it would have been nice to have it served warm with butter.

We visited this Maggiano's for dinner at 8:30pm on NYE. 8:30 is late for dinner but it was the earliest reservation I could get, but I have no idea why since it was not busy. We arrived at Maggiano's at 8pm and sat at the bar for a drink... I guess I could have asked to be seated earlier since there were several open tables but didn't. I checked in for dinner at 8:25 and we were seated promptly.

Our wait staff, though friendly, was not 'on' that night and had no attention to detail. At the table we were seated at, I had a dirty dinner fork... I asked for a new fork but a new one was never brought and I had to use the same fork the entire meal. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waitress brought the wrong one... lucky for her we at the table noticed and stopped her before she opened it.

Food was good as it usually is... moderately priced, large portion, chain restaurant Italian food. Better than Olive Garden but not Authentic by any means. I usually get the Baked Ziti but this time I tried Pasta with chicken sausage which was good and a nice change. The chocolate cake is always my favorite dessert, decedent and rich and a must have on almost every visit!

I just expected more from a special holiday, but there was no celebration or 'event' specials or atmosphere. I would say skip this location for a special occasion or celebration, but if you're looking for a nice dinner out then this place is ok.

We decided to give Maggiano's another try after a long absence. Mistake. Our favorite dish, chicken cacciatore, is no longer on the lunch menu. The lasagna was dry and lacked flavor. The only tomato sauce was on the plate. None in or on the lasagna. The chicken in the chicken fontina special was over cooked. The filling had no flavor. The chicken was swimming in a pool of thin liquid. And what was that on top of the mashed potatoes?

Some of the menu items come with a pasta dish to take home. We selected the Bowtie Aglio to take home. We heated this up the next night for dinner. The dish had NO flavor. I have a question for the chef at Maggiano's. What do you do to sun dried tomatoes so that they have NO flavor at all? The pasta was bland. They need to salt the water they cook the pasta in. We couldn't tell what the green stuff was in the dish because it also had no flavor.

The service was adequate.

Bottom line: We won't be back.

We went to Maggiano's for a co-workers retirement. We had made arrangements before hand for a table, but still a table short. After adding the table, the waiter brought us some bread, but took forever to get us drinks.

The food was pretty good. We had a huge table of good that included calimari, salads, chicken parm, etc. The food was flavorful and hot. Also, the good came out pretty quickly.

The waiter didn't seem like he wanted to be working, but the waitress was pretty good. Overall this was a good experience. Good food, but nothing special.

This particular Maggianos has earned themselves another star!

Our server yesterday was amazing, and based on that alone, they earn higher praise from me. My husband and I had lunch here yesterday, and arrived around 12:30 without a reservation. We were told it would be about a 15 minute wait, but it turned out to be less than 10. Score!

We went the whole nine yards--bread, appetizers, salads, our meal, and dessert! What can I say?! We were hungry!

My husband LOVES the bread there--it came out warm and amazing, and the parmesan/oil infusion was delicious as always! I think he filled up on that before the meal! The stuffed mushrooms are incredible, and they came with seven of them--I could have made a meal out of those alone!! The salad was amazing as always!

For our meals, I got the salmon with the crispy potatoes and my husband got his usual Taylor Street Baked Ziti (with a Joey Sausage to bring home--woot!). It was great as always (I might have snuck a few bites myself--shhhh). My salmon, however, was AMAZING. It was cooked to perfection and had a seasoned crispiness at the top that was to die for! It was served over a delicious blend of oil-infused spinach that was awesome as well!

So for dessert, we saw on the specials menu these doughnuts with cinnamon sugar on them with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces. My husband and I decided to order that. When we told our waiter, he paused and told us that they weren't that good. I appreciated his honesty--when a waiter doesn't like it, and doesn't recommend it, then he is probably right. But he offered to bring us out the donuts, and if we didn't like them, he would take it off the bill. How awesome is that?!?! Turns out we should have stuck with the apple crostada--the donuts were "not so much". Always listen to your waiter!! lol

So overall, it was a great experience and a great place to go for a lunch date :)

The food at this location is usually meh but tonight was the final straw. Overcooked linguine swimming in an over salted sauce with clams still gritty with sand. Disappointing even for a chain. Even the warm apple crostada was not the fabulous dessert that I've loved from years past. Barely warm and doughy, it makes you wonder what happened to this place?

So normally I wouldn't bother Yelping chains but I have to tell you about the service. It's polar. They're uber friendly and quick to make you happy. Crostada a nada? The waiter offered -- no, INSISTED that they take it off the bill. How cool was that?

BUT...

One thing will make me never to go back again.

The waiter, being the friendly server that he is, leaned up against the post next to our booth, chatting away.

He casually folded his arms, tucking a wine glass in his armpit. The bowl of the wine glass was in his armpit. How the glass didn't break in his pit was beyond me.

When he was done chatting, he put that wine glass on the shelf along with the other clean glasses.

Oh yes, you read that right.

I'm still horrified.

First, had to split my party of 14 into two because party of 10/more MUST order from limited Family Style menu Majority of us were from many states n wanted to order and try different things from dinner menu.

Arrived early, had cocktail, met our attentive, humorous waiter. My other party had different table n server. Life was good...?

Fast forward; wine order screwed up, water glasses and bread basket constantly empty- had to beg for refills, meal orders screwed up and came different/random times, saw server a lot but at other tables!

As my table was 3/4 through their meals n our other party was having their desert served, myself n other very hungry guest boldly flagged our server n asked that when our meals are FINALLY cooked n FINALLY ready to be served to us---- pack them to GO! We couldn't even fill up on bread - empty again!

The server's apologies were rare and cold. A group of us were looking for a place for Thanksgiving dinner and when Maggianos was mentioned, we voted THAT turkey off the island!

Okay I have lived in the Chicago area for many years and this was my first Maggianos experience. I went here for a post graduation celebratory luncheon. From the moment we walked, it was a good time. We actually had two waiters that were very lively and kept us entertained the whole lunch.

Every dish was excellent. I especially loved the soup (I believe it was tomato tortellini) and the baked bread. My entree was Lobster Fettuccine. It was good but if you don't like seafood, stay away. At times the seafood was a little overpowering for the dish. But I knew that before I ordered it. It was still good despite that fishy fact. I highly recommend the sangria as well. My one complaint is that baby should come in a pitcher, it's so damn good.

The best part of the lunch was at dessert time I received a spumoni with a candle for my big accomplishment. I don't know how good it is to have a burning candle next to ice cream, but it was cute and the ice cream was delicious.

Maggianos. You know what you are in for prior to walking in the door.

I have grabbed a bite a couple of times, for lunch. Seriously, who has time for a lunch of about 1.5 hours? Obviously quite a few people in this town - because the place is generally packed.

I just cannot get over the crowd of people slowly grazing their way through the lunch hours. Amazing. I guess this is what republicans in Du Page county think of as WORK :) Hello REALITY. GET SOME!

Servers are friendly, quick, get the bread on the table and your drinks on in no time. The food takes a bit of time. I have had the gnocchi, the fettucini and a salmon dish. All were flavorful and decent, nothing I would write home about.

Now I remember why I hate Maggiano's. They would not take a reservation for 4 early on a Saturday evening, but they will take walk-ins. They would not seat us until everyone in the party was there and they think over an hour to wait is a testament to just how good their food is.

Find another Italian place to eat.

We still could not use the gift cards we had. We ate elsewhere.

First thing first. I like Maggianos. This review is on this location only.

OK with that said, this Maggianos sucks.

Went here for my cousin's birthday on a Friday night. First thing first, her birthday was at the end of December, so yeah you would expect them to have the heater on cause it was cold outside, right? Nope, we got seated, took off our jackets, sat down, then right away got up and put our jackets back it. It felt like they left the door or window open cause we all felt a breeze and so did the other tables next to us. We asked the waiter and nothing happened.

The whole party was at the table and one of us had to go grab our waiter cause she never came to get our orders for drinks. Funny thing is when the waiter came and got our drink order and left another waiter came and apologized for our waitress and said she asked for him to come and get our drinks when she already did.

We all ordered our food and everything was cold. Well not really mine was hot but it was the wrong dish. Waitress never came back to refill our waters or asked if everything was good. Someone actually went and grabbed the water pitcher and left it on our table since no one came. Oh yeah if you are say "the waitress never came cause it was a Friday night" that didn't matter cause the place want packed at all.

So with that evening at this location, I will not go back there.

I still can't get over my first experience here.

When they first opened the BF and I were going to catch a quick meal in the bar on a Sunday afternoon before a movie BUT we got stuck there for 3 1/2 hours and ended up only getting a glass of wine each and a small salad (not even the kind we ordered) to go.

I was shocked b/c you'd think a place like Maggiano's could pop open a store like clockwork and be fine... but apparently not. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences I'd ever had. It was so bad that the manager wouldn't come out and talk to all the anxious and angry tables requesting management, which left the heat on the poor staff that was trying their best with nothing to work with. As someone who's worked in restuarants for 10 years, I can totes forgive the slowness, and the hiccups but NOT that the manager put it all on the staff. So wrong. You just gotta get out there and help deal with whatever mess there may be, ya know? We ended up having our 2 glasses of wine and wrong salad comped- I believe everyone in the bar area had their meals comped because of the debacle but it still ruined and took up our entire day. Again, this was a ways back when they first opened.

I gave that a pass and never wrote a review, mostly because I was in disbelief at how bad it all was. But the BF and I have been back a few times since then and due to the long wait times for the restaurant, have always sat at the bar or in the bar booths. The service is pretty good at booths but the bar is a bit lacking. The food is standard Maggiano's fare, not out of this world but not bad... a little too salty though.

I think I've finally given up on this location and decided that if I need my carbs, I can drive out to the Oakbrook location for great service, or to Buca Di Beppo for a better deal on the food.

We had our rehearsal dinner here.... approx 40 people and we had the private room that is furthest to the right.

Fantastic event-- the food was great (as always) and they are so great about bringing out more if you run out. Good temp (sometimes those places can be so cold!) and they had a table set up, which was nice because we had a place to put all of our bridal party gifts. There is a bar in the room, which is great! At the end of night, they bagged up quite a few leftovers.

Maggiano's is one of those places that does banquets so well.... it's almost always guaranteed that everything is going to be great, the food is excellent, and it's formal yet inviting environment is a perfect setting.

I went there with my wife for lunch. The food was fairly good, the service was acceptable. Given the unspectacular cuisine, I'm surprised at the long lines in the evening.

Because of the stiff prices, I'd suggest Buca Di Beppo or your favorite cheap local italian carry out.

My little sister finally graduated college after a gazillion years yesterday WOOT WOOT! After the ceremony, a group of 7 of us hightailed it to Maggianos for some grub. My grandpa and I got there first and checked in about 10 mins early. The hostess was a bit cunty about us being there early but whatevs. Gramps and I sidled up bar side. I ordered him a cup of joe and a spicy basil bloody mary for myself. This was one of the best bloody mary's EVER! Nice and spicy and the basil was the kicker.

After about 10 mins the rest of the crew rolls up and we're ready to be seated. I walked up to the hostess and informed her that the whole party was present now and ready to be seated as quickly as possible because my mother was using a walker due to her hip surgery 3 weeks ago. As I was giving her the scoop I glanced over and noticed the half empty dining room. She told me about 10 more minutes. I looked at her incredulously and the host noticed the look on my face, stepped in, and sat us quickly.

Once seated, our server David came by and was super nice. He got us started with a round of drinks and left us to peruse the menus. I must admit, it was kinda hard to choose. I went with the lobster ravioli. Pretty tasty. The dough was a bit chewy but they didn't skimp on the lobster and the saffron basil cream sauce was deelish. The crispy calamari was good. My sis had the gnocchi and it was awesome. The broccoli fettuccine was also pretty good. If you can't tell by now, I suffer from wandering fork syndrome. The only dish that wasn't loved was the angel hair w pomodoro sauce. But take that with a grain of salt cause that's what gramps ordered and he enjoys egg noodles with ketchup. bleh. Oh, and those little lemon cookies are OUTTATHISWORLD good! If this place would check the attitude of their craptastic hostess they'd be doing super, especially for a chain.

This is one of those situations where I wish I could do half stars, and I'd do 3.5. With Maggiano's, you know what you're getting. Lettuce Entertain you is always the safe option, especially for group dining, corporate functions, etc.

Maybe it would be easier to just link to my review of the Oak Brook location since the restaurants are twins: http://www.yelp.com/user…
